If anyone believes that the money will be there when they retire in 20 years then they are more gullible than I give them credit for. And 20 years of 'lottery contributions' will give you only 260,000 ish , if you actually get your money back, and you live another 20 years then you get maybe 30 baht a day ! I would not call 40 baht a day security in any way. If they want to make this attractive then they need to add interest to your contributions - otherwise after prize cashouts, the government is stealing your interest

The amount of time I have spent trying to explain to my thai wife that people in my UK on the same wage as Thai people would be driving clapped out old bangers sold at the side of the road and held together with newspaper is endless. People living in tin shacks should not be driving round in new pickups ! We teach our 8 year old daughter to save for what she wants. My step daughter that lives with us now is earning min wage (well bit more) and puts away 5,ooo baht a month for a new motorbike. Should get a nice one after 8 months ish, but she understands saving and working. It's education these people need - not loans !

Out with her young mates or home with a octogenarian ? I am 60, my wife now is 46, 14 years is enough for me. Go too Thailand , boom boom all you like with girls in their 20's and then calm down and marry someone older that is going to take care of you in old age.

I love my 'junk' and I have a great Thai wife that helps me buy it here from Japan - she also knows what it is worth and where to sell it to fund her life when I am dead !!! I quite like having a little fun with my investments. we already own 2 houses (Thailand and UK), couple fruit farms, we save money each month and are reasonably ok. I do not want 'life experiences' , I prefer something I can hold than a memory of a place. I can hold a toy when I have dementia - not remember a holiday !!
