Due to having to go back to the UK every 9 month, I currently live on about $1150 a month - BUT that is for me and the wife and our 2 year old daughter. I think you could 'survive; on $500 a month, but you would be pretty much housebound with the odd trip to the 7/11.

That said if you only want to use $500 as a amount for daily use excluding women and bars then its ok. But then you'd be adding about $1,000-2,000  a month for hookers if thats what you are into and single. 

As for eating bugs - you can eat the roaches in our kitchen for free if it helps any.

Wonder if I could sell tickets for him walk the length of Pattaya beach during the Chinese Dunkirk daily re-enactments ?

That sounds familiar to a lot of expats I would imagine !

Hard to arrest someone that thought maybe the house was derelict as owner had left it for months !

I met my Thai school teacher wife on a Thai dating site. Together 3 years now.

Funny thing is seeing some of these girls advertised as premium and you need upgrade to talk to some - and yet they appear to be bar girls you can go and meet and talk for free - well the price of a beer ! 

Problem is a lot of Thais would be banned from driving before they got to work on day one of this in operation !

I wonder how the monks in the temples would react if every shop owner said that they had to cut their donations due to the inability to sell alcohol on a Buddha day ! Probably double tomorrow

To be honest, if there is a chair outside the 7/11 , I'm quite happy to sit there for hours with a drink and watch the idiots play broom-brooms in it !

Too lazy to earn a living and now to lazy to walk - hopefully nobody will push him in the chair 

Maybe if he spent his money on his debts rather than what appears to be fatty foods, there would not have been any issues !
