About 3 weeks ago I switched to 30/3 for BAHT 1200
When I checked the speed always 30/3, however outside Thailand, always low
I am not sure but I think TOT lease lines from CAT inside Thailand, and the bandwidth for international is too small
CAT / TOT are suppose to be investing in more international bandwidth, but that will take time
As of today I do not see any solutions, as you say its a rip off

My wife goes to RAM, Ultrasound and Mammogram check up is just under 3k
You could try the new Bangkok Hospital, or the place mentioned on the Super Highway
If you use RAM, make an appointment

I would recommend you prepare a packing list and priced invoice
In both case you should start by saying all goods are USED and your private possessions and over 2 years old, and logically keep the value down
Its important the goods are cleared without delay, as you may incur storage charges
I shipped a 20ft container here in 2003, and did not pay duty, however customs took some time to clear, I think they were looking for a fee
To expedite the receipt in Thailand, make sure have a copy / original documents along with the names / email / phone numbers of the shipping company agent in Thailand and that should include a Customs agents details
Generally speaking a sea shipment will take 30 - 45 days

I understand it is now 45 days

I also have read with interest the various comments, generally it all depends on your own circumstances
However, a drawdown SIPP and take 25% tax free
Then 10K a year tax free...providing the rules do not change
Also if you need more tax at 20% unto approx. 41K isn't that bad
-
As a previous post said
Use non of them and steer clear of QROPS period, look at the new pension laws. Also be aware of any IFA's based in (or claiming to be based) in Thailand/Asia.
I use a HL SIPP, and next year you could cash and pay 20% tax up to the 20% band
I looked at it and the set up and yearly cost make it NOT WORTH IT...EXPENSIVE
There are lots of cowboys out there waiting to take your money
-
Price was about BAHT 1200
Cost in the UK between GBP12.50 and GBP25

To clarify I purchased;-
A 1 to 2 splitter, it came with a power supply ( maybe not needed)
So you have 3 connections 1 in and 2 out, so connect the SAT to the input and the 2 TV's to the output
-
Just to update;-
I found two shops selling HMDI splitters in Pantip Plaza
Now installed and TV extension working

Just a thought, its always better to let the Company pack, if you do it yourself, you run the risk that any damage could be considered 'down to you' as you packed the goods
If the Company packs everything, in the event of an insurance claim...then down to the Company packers / shippers

I am looking to buy a HMDI splitter switch in Chiang Mai
1input with 2 or 3 output
Anyone know where? and how much

My wife is 46, once she obtain her dependent visa. She can report every 90days?
-
Would you please clarify / confirm the following:-
Once I receive my extension based on retirement - I report every 90 days or leave the country?
My wife receive a dependent extension - She has to leave the country every 90days - reporting IS NOT an option?
-
With respect to my wife she is British aged 46, and yes she does hold a single entry type o visa
We do have funds to obtain an extension in her own right, however my understanding is she can only obtain a one year extension as my
dependant
Once she is 50 the situation changes
Am I correct?

I live in Chiang Mai

I have a 3 months type o single entry visa, which I want to turn into a retirement visa, and my wife a dependent visa
My question is:- When should you go to Immigration to do this, I read 4weeks and 6 weeks after arrival
What are the rules

My take on the take over
UKTV software is better than ExpatTV
UKTV price 3800Baht
ExpatTV have nearly doubled the price and no additional channels
Not sure if UKTV is suitable for windows 8.1
