Wow can't wait, to have a bucket of sewer water thrown all over me as i go out to dinner in my nice clothes, (now) wet clothes, wet (destroyed) mobile phone, wet wallet, and this is how i turn up to a formal dinner, can't wait, i live for this.
There are certain steps you can take to minimise the damage to your clothes and possessions when you head out in the evening but I see your point. The time that happened to me was caused by 2 idiotic farangs.

Thanks Sheryl. I will check out Dr. Panya at Bumrungrad.

I am a regular runner and my knee has started giving me a bit of trouble over the last couple of months. I have tried various strengthening exercises but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
I've been to Sports injury clinic at Samitivej hospital and the doctor there couldn't find anything wrong, he just told me to rest for a week and gave me some anti inflammatory pills. I have pretty much stopped running since I first felt the pain and have mostly been doing swimming. The medicine I was given seems to only have a minimal effect, if at all. The doctor talked about getting a MRI scan if things are not better but I would like to get a second opinion first.
Does anyone have any recommendations for sports injury clinics or doctors that specialise in knees?
Thanks.

I downgraded my package from Gold to Super Entertainment a couple of months ago and it was done over the phone right there and then.

I havent been able to find any KT Tape in Bangkok so I ended up buying some Rock Tape from the UK distributor.
The tape was a bit pricey, as all KT tape generally is but the postage was very reasonable. Ordering online was simple and the delivery was quick.

Would be nice to get some transparency on the whole rice pledging mess for starters.
I'm not sure how much anyone would believe them anyway, their credibility must be reaching an all time low.

How will assigning female police offers to handle traffic help?

If you walk down from Sukhumvit to Benjakitti, just before you reach the entrance to the park there are some small steps on the right that lead down onto a small paved road, you go past a small spirit house too. (the steps are easy to miss and not very visible). This path leads onto the walkway/cycle path that goes all the way to Lumpini park.
Its a good way to avoid the roads and terrible pavements if you want to run between the 2 parks. I've heard the same thing about groups hanging around there during the night but I've been on this route early morning 5.30am and it was ok. I guess they have all trudged off home by then!
If you are looking for other routes then I use Endomondo app for tracking my runs, on their website it also has routes that other users have run and posted up so you can check these out and see if they are of interest to you. Bangkok runners (meet up group and facebook page) also organise runs/races in and outside of Bkk.

Ah, a fellow Spurs fan. Not often you meet one here!
I usually stock up on the fitness gear I like when I am back in the UK.
Brands like Craft, Sugoi, Odlo and Gore are just not available in Thailand and the shipping costs/import taxes can push the price right up.
COYS!

You can try somewhere like Super Sports but I haven't seen any Under Amour gear in Bkk. You best bet would probably be to look online.

Bangkok Runners club may know where you can get some VFF. I think they have a facebook page and they also have a presence on meet up.

A good shop for cycle stuff is www.alwaysriding.co.uk (I have no connection to this website). They don't have a huge range of stuff but they do stock Craft stuff which I really like. I have bought from there when I was in the UK and also from Thailand. Their P&P to Thailand is very reasonable.

I'm not seeing anything on channel 7 related to the fight.
That bloke playing with a lighter and a tissue paper was riveting stuff though, you have to agree.
It seems like a useful skill to have...

The walkway links Benjakitti Park (near Asok BTS) to Lumpini Park. I've used it for cycling between the 2 parks and may use it for a running route as I use these 2 parks for my runs. It seems fine to use during daylight hours but I've heard that you get a few youths hanging around during dusk and night so you may want to avoid it then.

Biological washing detergents contain enzymes which are more effective at breaking down stains and cleaning dirt in the wash. Non-biological washing detergent does not contain these enzymes. People with sensitive skin may be allergic to these certain enzymes and would have to use non-bio detergents.

I'm not sure if you can get non-bio washing powder/liquid in Thailand. I used to have to use non-bio in the UK for medical reasons. Here I use the washing liquid for babies which seems to be just fine.

The trains seem to be running more frequently but they are usually stopping in between stations, probably due to the train in front. They just need to get the timing sorted out. The carriages are busier which is to be expected but it still empties out a lot at On Nut.

Has anyone tried this third party skype app yet? I am just wondering how reliable it is?
Also if Verizon have tied up a deal with Skype in the US then will it just be a matter of time before other networks worldwide do the same?

If you are looking for all kinds of mac software then visit www.macupdate.com. Lots of stuff is free but some is also shareware but you can find almost every kind of software there.

I have also been to this clinic but I had my first session with Nancy and not Philip. Nancy is also very good and speaks fluent English having studied in the UK. Due to lack of time I have not been back since my first session but I plan to go on a regular basis in the new year.

He is Thai? Where in Thailand is he from? PDA's are frowned upon in large swathes of Thailand so it could either be he's just not that into you or it could be that he's embarrassed by the PDA (public display of affection)
What she said. Some Thai's wont even hold hands in public and this goes for guys and girls depending on where they come from and personally how conservative they are. If you try it in a more private environment and he still does the same then you have your answer.
Cruel or irresponsible and stupid Songkran jerks?

Does anyone know if Saturday will see everyone chucking water all over the place or does it start on Sunday?
I just want to be prepared...
