  1. Not only have to Russkees dumped all their Vodka laden " tourist " on Thailand by the millions,

now they want to dump their dilapidated arms and military equipment on Thailand as well,

and i's sure, as the day is long, that they will find a "sympathetic" general whom they will persuade

to by the surplus junk from them...

I remember in the first Gulf war. The Iraqi army had some up to date Russian armor and were thought formidable. The American and British tanks went through them like dose of salts. Norm the Storm was worried it was so easy. The Iraqi soldiers were blames at first, then it was realized how crap the Russian equipment was. They go in for quantity, not quality. Odd exceptions of course.

The Iraq equipment was 30 years old and the USA controlled the air. On the tanks, the modern American tanks could shoot a lot more far and terrain was flat and open.

That doesn't mean anything beside that the Iraqi Generals were idiots. Modern Russian equipment is more or less equal, or at least not far behind. See Georgia.

Rubbish. Iraq had very modern Russian tanks at that time. Many battles were tank on tank and at night. Their generals weren't idiots and neither were a lot of their soldiers, many of whom gave their lives. Captured ones spoke volumes about the performance of what at the time was modern Russian equipment.

If you're ever lucky enough to meet someone from the old British regiment called the Queen's Royal Irish Hussars who was there ask them. Or any American armored corps veterans, that served.

Russia has updated of course as all military have. If it does kick off, and I hope it doesn't, I'd sooner be standing shoulder to shoulder with my American cousins than some Rusky. They are patriotic and often display a thuggish mentality, sober or drunk. But, how many wars have they actually won? Bullying little countries - yep, good at that alright.

What wars have Russians won? 2 of the 3 biggest words ever. Second world war and Napoleonic war. While Brits and Yankees were hiding behind a water channel.
  2. Got to love the russian haters, they sht bricks just at the mention of cooperation between two countries. Why expanding a NATO is a good thing and when the counterpart does the same thing you scream foul play? I mean it's not like rednecks were sharing candy to Afghans,Iraq, Libya, Syria, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Korea, Yugoslavia and many more for the past half a century.

  3. All hopes are that the Brits got their own DNA samples and this would put the lives of two Burmese out of danger if they are really innocent, but it's as far as this case will go. The real killers will never be catched.

"if they are really innocent " followed by"the real killers..."????
Have their guilt or innocence been proven yet? However the "real killers will never be catched" is my opinion.
  4. No conspiracy here just the criminal actions of the government are being investigsted, I only wonder what took them so long.

well my question to you good sir is when is your beloved suthep going to go to court to answer the charges against him????????????????????
Well I guess as soon as there is no protest to protect him, so the sooner the yingluck goes the sooner suthep will follow.

See, a win win situation for us.

  5. Too dense to know what she's gotten herself into; let alone address the press with coherent speech that would resemble a leader. Better to keep the trap shut; at least she's learning that.

Did you read the bit in the OP were it say's, these guy's have still not finished a graft case against Mark after 4 years, and as for your hero Suthep well they can't even be bothered to make him front court let alone the plethora of corruption accusations against him,

But then your selective reading will not let you take in that little tit bit of info now will it, yellow tinted glasses...

I would like to challenge you, can you produce one iota of evidence that YL is corrupt??? cause if you can, better you go n tell them boy's you have all the answers, good luck with that, cheers

If my memory does not betray me the rice scheme was accused of massive corruption but Yingluck have claimed on several occasions it was corruption free. She was the chairman of the committee, the whole rice scheme fiasco was her election campaign flagship policy and she benefited from it directly. So unless those 200 pages of evidence show exactly where the money went she is in big trouble.

It is the job of the prosecutor to produce evidence and court will judge on the case. Will you accept a court rulling if she is found guilty?

  6. Let's see what reds have promised us so far if their faux PM is charged with any wrongdoing, secession and civil war, extermination of all amart and unwanted individuals, flooding bangkok with red(blood presumably), torching the city, impeachment of independent government bodies, attacking the army camps and kidnapping high ranking officers and members of their families, banning individuals from expressing their views if not in line with red idioligy. What a charming bunch those reds are.

  7. The state must be in good condition as she has time for this. There is obviously nothing more important to attend to.

Aren't you one of the people who laments the fact that the PM doesn't visit the south? And now you take a romp in the gutter to offer the comment that she " obviously has nothing more important to attend to".

The fire was a major catastrophe. Thousands have been affected and thousands are worried. In the real world, this qualifies as a serious event. The PM came in her capacity as PM to reassure the public and to offer support. That's what a PM is supposed to do. You may not think this important, but the thousands of local residents, with the exception of 3 idiots blowing whistles, probably do as well. You would be the first to criticize her if she attended a cabinet meeting and didn't visit. Your hatred blinds you, and it's a sorry indictment of your mindset.

Millions were affected by the rice scheme disaster, hundreds are killed deep south every year, children are being massacred in front of their parents, a separatist movement threatens to destroy the country, hundreds of billions of taxpayers money lost threatening the economy of the nation, the list can go on and on but what is Yingluck input in solving this problems? Oh I'm sure she will attend to them if there is no other otop fair to go to.

  8. Do your research on the history of the Crimea and you will see that it makes much more sense in Russia than it ever did during it's 60 years of Ukrainian adventure.and by the way the russkies did not move to annex it until the west supported Nazi radicals overthrew the elected government and seized the power.

You gotta love the West made me do it excuse or its all the West's fault. So childish. I would love to hear someone just man up and say we did because we <deleted> well wanted to rather than constantly blaming someone or something else. Man up and accept responsibility for once.
I'm not denying the Russians did annex it. And they had the reason to do so. They stated both. But I am still waiting for the Wests admittance of their involvement in the events leading to this mess. What are exactly their reasons to destabilise the security and stability in the region?
  9. Fol we will agree to disagree.

Invasion dosnt follow with a swift referendum usually. The Ukraines ownership of Crimea is and always has been questionable. Fact is the Crimean people were givena vote and it may not to be to the wests liking but its conclusive, that is also a fact that cannot be obscured.

As to Finland that is true but what you dont need or want is multiple fronts all along your border of EU states AND both by sea or land. That would be a disaster and a big security concern

The point in referencing these other examples such as Syria or Iraq or Kosovo is to highlight the lack of interest in what is legal or not in these examples, you can hardly point the finger when you dont take any notice of the rules yourself... its simply double standards and no surprise when another does the same.

Lead by example and there are many examples where UN security council members have not followed the rules and just done what they want, no point whining about another when it does the same.

I dont believe Russia is going to go any farther but i do expect the US to try to force things that way, its politics behind this little game of who can carve up Ukraine to whos best advantage... both sides.

US is talking about economic sanctions which will affect things globally, this is foolish but in line with trying to bring the rest of the world into an economic crisis that the US is already facing, last man standing is the winner kind of thing, in this case in economic terms. The possible result to other nations in hardship is very real and it will have been for what ? a couple of % that dont wish to join with Russia ? that does not make democratic sense at all. remember the people were asked and they spoke very clearly in favour.

The US is talking like no one in Crimea was asked... they were and that cannot be ignored or just brushed off because the Us or EU dont wish to recognise it... a few million others did vote yes and they wernt forced.. its their choice .. THAT is democratic

Global impact very short term and minimal. Russia'a fragile economy is heavily dependent upon foreign investment in US and European markets. I suppose Cyprus too at one time . . . Anyway, Russian can go back to being and isolationist and it will have little or no long term negative impact globally. Just hurt Russia. At least then, the world would know where it stands.
Yep, serves them right. Who do they think they are to reject the mighty USA's will and protect their peoples interests and security. Those neo fascist groups that seized the power with the backing of USA had the best interests of the people of the Crimea all along.

Back to reality tho, stop watching fox news and listening to mc Cain. Russia can do pretty well isolated from the west, something I can't say about much of the western Europe, they will crumble without the resources from russia. And the "gold for oil" stuff can do wonders for the US economy.
