  1. The duration of rule for various tyrants and despots varies widely. Here are some notable examples along with their years in power: 1. **Joseph Stalin (Soviet Union)**: 1924 - 1953 (29 years) 2. **Adolf Hitler (Germany)**: 1933 - 1945 (12 years) 3. **Mao Zedong (China)**: 1949 - 1976 (27 years) 4. **Kim Il-sung (North Korea)**: 1948 - 1994 (46 years) 5. **Muammar Gaddafi (Libya)**: 1969 - 2011 (42 years) 6. **Robert Mugabe (Zimbabwe)**: 1980 - 2017 (37 years) 7. **Fidel Castro (Cuba)**: 1959 - 2008 (49 years) 8. **Bashar al-Assad (Syria)**: 2000 - present (as of 2023, 23 years) 9. **Benito Mussolini (Italy)**: 1922 - 1943 (21 years) 10. **Saddam Hussein (Iraq)**: 1979 - 2003 (24 years) These figures illustrate the varying lengths of authoritarian rule across different countries and historical contexts. All excellent people. Waaaay better than Turdeau for sure eh. They were leaders far longer so there's no way they could be useless, correct????
  2. Often you are correct. But Canadians can be stupid and continue to support a useless Turdeau simply because they vote liberal, because their parents voted liberal, and their parents voted liberal...... But tell us, what did Imam Trudeau actually do?
  3. I would have thought being the offspring of his mom (when she wasn't doing Mick) and Fidel would have given him more cajones.
  4. Exactly!!!! F Imam Trudeau. Remember Omar Khadr. Remember Trudeau saying terrorists can be assimilated back into society. He got elected with a CV that had one job on it: Part-time high school drama teacher He got elected because he had nice hair and was going to legalize weed. He is a national embarrassment and will be remembered as the biggest most useless PM that has ever been elected. Imagine the PM of Canada being publicly and internationally humiliated by Trump as the Governor of the 51st State of the USA and having no comeback? He is a useless <deleted>. Good riddance.
  5. I do not like hair anywhere but the head and the nether regions. Even on me. I think guys wearing their wife beater shirts to show off their muscles or tattoos and really showing their disgusting armpits are, well...disgusting. I used to do a lot of scuba diving. My wife and I had our own gear complete. We lived in Nova Scotia and would drive down the coast to a bay or beach, suit up and head into the water. I learned from the instructor who taught us in the PADI course (which was 3 very intense days with 12 hours in the water and 12 hours in the class and a wicked hard exam with dive tables etc. and two open water dives in Nova Scotia in November) about shaving. Now I keep my body hair trimmed with clippers. Not shaved with a razor. It is more comfortable and looks better I think. Hairy legs on a woman? No thank you?
  6. Cereal replied to pomchop's topic in Pattaya
I don't know if this is true or not, but playing everything stupid loud here and across the river, seems to be the norm. Although in Laos it never happens in that fashion, mostly just at parties, funerals and weddings. But it would never start that early or end very very late. But I digress. My wife explained that they play things loud like that to scare away ghosts. So, using that (rather insane) logic. Firing up the system at 0600 hrs would scare away the ghosts in the machine. I can't wrap my head around such profound stupidity even after nearly 2 decades. But, try to argue logic with a Thai or Lao.
  7. In an unprecedented turn of events, passengers aboard Air India Express's inaugural flight from Surat (India) to Bangkok
  8. I didn't realise that it was possible to tarnish India's reputation globally. It's a dung heap of a country. It literally stinks.
  9. She was 36. That may or may not be considered young. However, without doubt it is considered old enough to know better.
  10. She's the mule. Who is the kingpin? Catch him or her
  11. She's Thai, so I'm guessing God doesn't play a big part in her life. Besides, the entire God thing is a silly fantasy.
  12. The question I have to ask, which I haven't seen here yet and perhaps I missed it, is what do her boobs look like now? Were they sitting high and firm and after a few years or a kid or two they now are saggy and wrinkled? Cosmetic surgery can work wonders on a person's self esteem. One female flight attendant I flew with many times had no boobs. Seriously, it looked like she had never gone through puberty. She was so shy and withdrawn it was painful to watch. She had never had a boyfriend and wouldn't consider going on a date. She was also very pretty with a great body, just no boobs. She decided to get implants, small, just a nice round A cup. The change in her personality was enormous. She became outgoing and effervescent. She was a new person and had self confidence which previously had not been there. She also had the support of everyone at work. If your partner wants new boobs, let her have them. They may very well be a ticket to her happiness and confidence. Get saline implants not silicone.
  13. Ahhh...the ol' Asian 'It's not my fault' gig. Whenever a screw up happens immediately point 8 fingers, 2 thumbs and 10 toes in 20 different directions while shouting your complete innocence.
  14. His diatribe is valid and legitimate. Defamation laws clearly have their place. However, in the case of Thailand, defamation laws also serve to protect obviously guilty parties and thus keep the public in harms way. This is one of those cases.
  15. Many Lao are blaming Vietnamese people, my wife among them. True, a Vietnamese owned Nana Backpackers Hostel and the manager et al were Vietnamese and 8 have been detained, but it's a Lao problem. These people, Lao that is, are incredible at deflecting blame. It finally looks like the government here are doing something. The international pressure has been immense.
  16. On the same same but different thing...I live in Laos and there's a HUGE problem with tourists - backpackers - dying of methanol poisoning in Vang Vieng. News here is scarce, as one would expect in a Communist country. Do folks in Thailand have any news. It's made the Aussie national news. 3 dead: 2 Aussies and an American with many in serious life-threatening condition in the hospital.
  17. Why isn't anyone talking about this? Does anyone know anything other than the media we are hearing? This is tragic but not unexpected really. Giving away buckets of free booze supposedly from top brands doesn't seem fiscally responsible.
  18. The poor bugger has had his life shattered. He doesn't need keyboard crap from some in this quarter. Until details emerge, let decency reign.
  19. A few years ago I read an article that mentioned a large survey campaign about Thai drivers and their superstitions. A full third surveyed believed there was nothing - nothing - they could do to prevent and accident. It is the most extreme external locus of control. Drunk? Nighttime? Raining? Speeding? Texting on your phone? Running a red light without so much as a casual glance around? All of these? Nothing will prevent an accident. That's what the reasons are behind a windshield so full of amulets the driver can barely see out. You cannot legislate against this.
  20. All women are nuts. Let's get that straight. I know lots of Thai and Filipino women. And many married to falangs. I find Filipino people, women in particular, to be back stabbing hypocrites. But then again, they're all Christians 😂
  21. I'm not entirely clear on this article. Did those medical students cheat and/or bribe through corruption to get through med school? Or, after successfully completing their studies they had to pay corruption money to get their degrees? Also, would any of those graduates be capable of passing first rate med school exams in the USA? Like, from Harvard for example.
  22. I do understand. I live here.
  23. Greed, all around. She wins 5 billion baht and wants to use it to make more. She gets taken advantage of. Blah blah blah
