  1. Remember this story: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/621973-emergency-plan-ready-for-thailands-april-power-crisis/?

They said they had an eight point contingency plan and didn't elaborate on what it is. Well, we know step one now.

    8 points

    1) have some blackouts

    2) forget about it and hope it goes away.

    3) grab as much public money now and resign before the situation gets too hot.

    4) blame someone else

    5) move to Dubai

    6) 7) 8) add your own choices

Couldn't have said it better myself!

  2. Thai people working outside of the office?? They barely work in the office!! Use a personal electronic device for work? I didn't know Hayday was a word processor!

If they're so hard working and productive, where is their advancement? Oh wait, advances in copying others and saving face, but no tangible academic, social, or economic advancement.

And the satire continues, the hub of fallacy!

You must be a barrel of laughs on a night out.

I try. I would be one of those comedians who points out the obvious ;) We should compare notes

Ah, a bit of observational humour. But if I may be so bold you're no Chris Rock. ;)

You're right. I guess you looked at my profile pic ;)

  3. I took the advice of a fellow TV member and started leaving their doors open in traffic if they refuse.

It's funny to see how angry they get when you're passive aggressive back at them.

You guys should try it, it's good for a laugh while you wait for the next taxi!

Congratulation to the taxi driver that he didn't pick you up:clap2::clap2::clap2:

Def, cause I laughed at him as hard as I laughed at your comment!

  4. That's a great idea, glad to see some progression away from painting endless rice fields and boring portraits. Hopefully it will expand and street art will become part of just 'art'. And yes, there's a huge difference between marking territory, or tagging, and street art.

I hope the two don't get confused and I hope the little soi kids don't start tagging more than they already are...

  5. RisqEM if Thailand is such bad place why are you commenting on this website? Now lets see about your facts and compare them with the world reality. The EU have 11% unemployment and the US +-8% and Thailand > 1%. Thailands GDP growth in 2012 = 6,4% the EU = 0,6% and the US = 0%. In the US 46 mil people rely on government handouts to survive. Lets look at social advancement. In the US 40% of children where born outside of wedlock in 2011. In the US 14% of people are functionally illiterate and in the UK that figure is as high as 18%. Must I go on? Get off your pedestal.

Where else would I talk? And you said it was bad, not me. Also, I said it was funny, just like your misunderstanding of my comment. At least America and the EU don't sell their kids into slavery because mom and pop don't save and are too lazy to work. You can justify and turn a blind eye all you want, but at least I stay on topic and talk about thailand in a thai forum and on an article about thai habits. Thanks for the useless, off topic EU and American factoids.

Lastly. At least my pedestal has legs. You stood on a pedestal with one leg and fell flat on the 44% of your face that copies and vomits info. You have no input, just mindless copying. Maybe you've been here too long, or, I'll bet you play FarmVille and Hayday at work by your attempted justification.

  8. I'm American, and I've never seen politicians riding garbage trucks or bikes. They know the average American would call bullsh*t, unlike the average Thai. Different circuses, bad analogy.

If only they knew the say "you can please some of the people all of te time, but none of the people all of the time". Maybe they would stop believing all the bs shoved down their throats

I have been doing the door open thing off and on for some time now. I have had a couple close calls whereby I thought things were going to get violent though (and I can handle myself). I can see this and even just the snapping of a pic and the threat of reporting them leading to some gang beatings by the taxi mafia and some news clippings on here eventually. Stand up for yourself but BE CAREFUL.

Agree and keep in mind that many taxi drivers have a system with their buddies that when one of them is in trouble they send out a distress call and all of a sudden you have four drivers to deal with.

Do you think they would be that distressed over a door. NothIng negative has happened yet. You should try, it's fun!

You should try it until they take their gun out, as happened to a couple of us last week on Nana, outside Omni. Bravado is all well and good, but in this country it can get you in deep sh*t.

They won't shoot their own taxi. Plus, since I'm not getting taxis in places like Nana, I think my chances are cut down. That sucks though, I think I'd snap a pic.where I'm from is a pretty rough place, more guns and crazy people than here. They won't risk shooting their window out. I think I'd have taken a pic and called the police

  11. Why are they embarrassed? They sell their own daughters and elect pimps who made fortunes off the back of their women.

I thought they were proud...I mean, how else do a lot of these girls get so much gold and new iPhones and their parents can sip whiskey all day and not work?

(Sarcastic joke, no need to point out there are more honest, hard working girls than prostitutes)
