  1. 10b for Skytrain. Good idea that.

10 baht for the extension, down from 15 baht.

    Sent from my HTC phone.

Why on earth can't they just have one pricing system for the whole network like in all other major cities around the globe?

And while they're at it, please include the underground and the Airport Link City Line as well.

The whole local train system in Bangkok is developing into such a mess, it's unbelievable.

Couldn't agree more. It's such a joke, they should be ashamed of themselves at how pathetic it looks to visitors. Two prices to ride the same train, with such terrible quality trainsI had two trains break down on me on the Sukhumvit line this week, and the air con's are dripping water half the time!

  2. In a city where I've never seen road maintenance. I walk Suk. every day to the gym, and I think if they didn't make the dam_n sidewalks so big for all of the vendors crowding them, they would have room to add another lane and help congestion.

But heaven forbid maintaining something, or taking pride in community property, where's the ability to scam that?

I've said for years they should be ashamed and embarrassed of the road conditions here.

  3. I'll bet all of his pimping and expertise in massage parlors and bull terriers make him a real expert on tensions in the south.

Thailand should be embarrassed, being represented by a pimp (although kind of fitting).

Bringing his pimp game to a new level!

    Who are you talking about?

(Chalerm is not Chuwit, Chuwit is the massage guy, Chalerm is the guy who helped his son escape a jail term after he killed a cop).

That's who I was talking about, my mistake. But none of them are worth remembering in my opinion, so easy to confuse one crook for another.

  4. A buddy of mine had the same story in the same area around 12AM. He's an amateur weight lifter, do when the taxi started going weird routes and trying to raise the price by going the long way, my buddy simply got our and walked away at Asoke. The driver chased him down the road and pulled out a sword. Different ways to deal with different people.

  5. I can completely understand this. I've seen tutors, families, people just sitting around doing nothing. I've seen it in Starbucks too. I go to work and see a group of students with one cup of coffee or one small french fries, come out on break see the same group with one empty cup or one empty french fries bag.

Any other business would kick out non paying customers, McD's is no different and should be able to do the same. It is definitely an instance of Thai people taking a mile when given an inch.

I think they will handle it well, ever tried to stay in a buffet for longer than an hour (Oishi, Shabushi)........they're quick to get the next paying customer in, and not polite about it!
