Anybody watched John Wick 4? I tried last night but the picture first couple of minutes just seemed off.......

Initially on Kodi and then downloaded from PB. I only watched about the first 5 minutes due to the, to me, perceived quality issue and both sources had irritating french subs.

    Is it just me?

It hasn't been digitally released yet...

There is some truth to this but on another thread, I showed that there were some timing differences between the "burning season" in Thailand and surrounding countries. I noted Thai officials being relatively happy in March to refer to these NASA heat maps and conveniently not doing so in February when the majority of the Thai burning was going on.

My feeling is that there is certainly much that can be done in Thailand and shrugging the shoulders and blaming the neighbours is a cop out. And indeed, if one of the solutions is to propose reducing/stopping burning to the neighbours, you don't have much credibility if you are doing it yourselves, do you ?

Below are heat maps from 14/2, 28/2 and 27/3.

Not fair to blame Thailand's neighbours at all... the wind direction at this time of year is predominantly from the South-West, so CR residents should be blaming the rest of Thailand, not the neighbouring countries.

Windy is also a good source of information:

  3. Lowering excess sodium from your diet can reduce blood pressure, which can reduce your risk of hypertension and, consequently, as the American Heart Association points out, heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, and more.

A salt substitute, also known as low-sodium salt, is a low-sodium alternative to edible salt (table salt) marketed to circumvent the risk of high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease associated with a high intake of sodium chloride while maintaining a similar taste.

I use this product which can be found in most supermarkets including Makro:

Does this mean the support of this site will help us to remove all the ads?

Or should the support talk with the site owners or management that maybe they should think about making the situation better. Because if it gets worse than probably more and more members will move away. It seems many did that already.

I am simply bringing this topic to the attention of the Forum Support personnel.

It is an aspect of the Forum that neither I nor other Moderators have any control over.

And... before anyone gets carried away... from the Forum Rules:

Using KDMC at movie played well, easy to raise and lower sound. User friendly-ish. Thanks NextG.

If you are using KDMC (which was based on Kodi version 17.6) you might find this topic useful... Kodi® for Dummies

I kept the topic up to date and pinned until version 19 of Kodi was released, because Kodi addons became Python based and there were a lot of changes to how the program looked and operated, also many menu interfaces changed, so I un-pinned the topic and stopped updating it.

Most of the information in that topic would be valid for your KDMC version though... you might find some of it useful.

But as NextG has already suggested, you might be better off uninstalling KDMC from your box, and doing a fresh install of the latest version of Kodi (available here).

How do I navigate the screen? My new remote has batteries. On its back there are instructions re: using blue buttons. The front of the remote doesn’t have blue buttons. I can turn on a red light but can’t control the screen.

Does the remote look like this?

If so, you navigate through the menu items using the arrow directional buttons in the middle of the remote then select by pressing the OK button.

No harm will be done playing around with the remote control buttons... always remember there is a Home key which should take you to the top menu level (usually looks like a little house), and a Go Back key (which looks like a Return key), so you can explore all your menu options to see what they do.

A menu came up on the tv. Bluetooth logo, broom logo, time and date amd these logos: Play Store, YouTube, File, Apps, Kdmc, Firefox, Wallpaper, Settings. At the bottom of the screen, a green A, Prime Video, red play button, white Plus sign.

KDMC is probably a fork of Kodi, which started off life as XBMC which was initially created as the Xbox Media Center from Microsoft.

It's been pre-loaded onto your box by the supplier, so may have some streaming sources already configured.

I'd recommend to start playing around with something simple and familiar like YouTube first, and familiarize yourself with the functions of the remote control.

How do I connect to the internet? On the tv it says run an ethernet cable to the router which is far away. Will I have to keep that cable plugged in? Do I connect it to the new box or to the tv?

To get the best possible streaming connectivity you should run a Cat 6  ethernet cable from the RJ45 port on your Android box to a spare RJ45 LAN port on your router.

Alternatively, you can connect the box to your wifi by using the Settings menu options, and connect to your wifi using the network name and password.

Streaming connections via wifi is sometimes a bit dodgy however, and you can experience signal loss due to packet loss.

A hard-wired (ethernet cable) connection is best for streaming.

I see that one of your menu options is the Google Play Store.

If you select that you can set up your google account so you can download and install apps like VLC (which you are already familiar with) so you can access your movies etc on an external USB drive.
