Same as 2016.  Americans won’t so much vote for Trump.  They will vote against Biden, like they voted against Hillary.

"They will vote against Biden, like they voted against Hillary"....Hilary won the popular vote by not far 3,000,000 voters

Two million tourists would only equate to about 4% of the yearly take, so it's a good starting point. Even though I'm not sure why you think one tourist will feed one normal poor Thai. I didn't know it was that symmetrical.

I never said what you seem to want me to say, all I was saying in response is that if the goal is to get out of the misery millions of Thais it is not a few thousand or ten thousand tourists who will solve the problem.

Another rich <deleted>, sitting in his office on a nice salary.

It is not about big businesses making money, it's about getting millions of normal Thais out of poverty, and able to put food on the table for their families.

So if I understand you correctly they should let in millions of tourist?

As I said-We (thai girlfriend and me) spent a lot of time with the immigration officer, taking notes and making sure we understood the renewal guidelines. Unfortunately, they didn’t include the 3 months after in their written guidelines. As for not knowing because it was posted so many times thai visa forum-I generally get some snarky, unhelpful comment, like your comment, which makes me want to steer clear of asking any questions or reading tv.

"Unfortunately, they didn’t include the 3 months after in their written guidelines"

    Bad luck really!

But if anyone here asks a question about anything concerning the visas, 99,9% of the time, among many answers by some members you'll find an answer of the moderator ubonjoe his answers are precise and correct 100% of the time, I am sorry for what happened to you, unfortunately I guess you did not know.

And is it to help us travel in the country more easily that us retirees have ฿800,000 blocked for 5 months instead of 3 months and ฿400,000 blocked ad vitam æternam in a Thai bank?

When it started I thought it was a guarantee because some expats have supposedly not pay their hospital's bill. Now we are insured for ฿400,000  but the ฿400,000 are still blocked for life

It is very difficult to understand why these cancer causing chemicals had not been banned years ago already as in many other countries .

The only explanation for this seem to be a complete disregard for the health of the consumers by the Thai government .

40000 people should consider to take legal action against the government ...

------> One survey found that 2.65 million households used chemicals, while 677,522 used agricultural chemicals. The other found that household members suffered from symptoms or illnesses related to pesticide poisoning. Of the respondents, 12,554 suffered from shaky hands or walking problems, 79,645 suffered from numbness in hands or feet, 22,569 had developed dermatitis, 641 suffered necrotising fasciitis, 370 developed leukaemia, 922 were lymphoma patients, 1,132 developed mental problems while 2,349 required haemodialysis. <-----

Pesticide poisoning does not only affect the ecosystems , it makes people sick , too .

Is that really so hard to understand ...?

Glyphosate the worst of all is a Monsanto product and it is used ALL OVER THE WORLD,

A study published Tuesday in the journal Environmental Sciences Europe reveals that Americans have applied 1.8 million tons of glyphosate since its introduction in 1974. Worldwide, 9.4 million tons of the chemical have been sprayed onto fields.  It's enough to spray nearly half a pound of Round-up on every cultivated acre of land in the world.

And it's troubling, considering that in March 2015 the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer unanimously determined that glyphosate is "probably carcinogenic to humans,"

Winning hearts and minds by attacking Rand Paul and his wife? The intolerance on display is quite staggering, this is fascism in action. Lucky the police haven't been totally defunded and were there to protect the couple from the leftist mob. I don't suppose this violence and intimidation will impress the average voter. Hope they find out who paid for this and take drastic action to stop this disgraceful behaviour.

In my opinion they are not paid by anyone But why not then be paid by Trump's friends, so he can add another layer?

Imagine If every country called for such a forceful display, with so many officials including a lot of high ranking officers holding a press conference, detailed explanations with a bunch of photos spreads out on a large board as if they finally had got their hands on the most dangerous serial killer of the century, all this unpacking for a man with no visa how on earth they do not realize it really lacks seriousness.

I take back what I said ! There is no longer a single tourist they are on the verge of depression, they put on this little comedy to boost the morale of the troops
