One thing that really makes no sense is the fact that the career military officer now the defense minister would go public and state that the military is corrupt.

I am in the same boat but with Tanachart Bank.

Firstly took me 4 days of everyday calling to get someone to answer a simple question about early payout.

When i eventually got the "account manager" or whatever the hell she was, that woman had no idea at all what principle, interest, residual or anything else was in both languages English and Thai.

Cut the story short, after 2 hours and me pretty much getting hysterical, because the nonsense and stupidity that came out of her mouth could not possibly be real.

I kind of understood, that no matter if you pay out early, you still have to pay the interest, however early payout they give 50% discount on the interest.

It still though unclear how they calculate the interest and how much of monthly payment is principle and how much is interest.

In my case, i have owned the car for 1 year, the payout figure is the same amount i borrowed, so either it means for first year i was only paying the interest

or (i have no idea) and for some crazy reason even with 50% discount on interest the payout figure after 1 year of payment is the same amount as i initially

borrowed.

Sorry to steal the thread, but if someone understands what i posted, please explain to me, because i am lost of words and worried if i call again, i may end up going on a shooting sphree

I have paid off 2 car loans with Thannachart twice now, 4 year loans paid off in 2, no discount.

May be you got another "qualified" account manager to do your settlements.

DO not know about other people experiences, but i honestly can not believe my experience where bank employee, supposedly account manager has no clue about loan structures, the terms and how the system works.

Nothing was explained initially, no statements are sent out with the balance after each payment and no explanations of any kind.

TO make matters worse, only selected people are allowed to discuss the matter with a client and even those do not seem to have a clue.

Makes one wonder, how exactly banks here operate and make money if the staff do not understand basic banking principles

Really easy, all the time you pay the same amount of interest and principal. Example: borrowed 500,000 Baht over 5 years @ 2,45% = 61,250 Baht interest. 500,000 + 61,250 = 561,250 Baht. 561,250 divided by 5 = 112,250 Baht payable per year or 9,354 per month.

do you know anything about the blood lines of both male and female? If not, don't breed! A dog that appears healthy, doesn't necessarily mean it is. How do you know if along the line there aren't hereditary problems in the dog?

Well, I do see a problem with this kind of breeding. It's called back yard breeding.

And that doesn't mean all back yard breeders have bad intentions.

Not knowing about the genetics of this dog and/ or the female dog can put pups in this world with physical and mental faults. The future of the breed and the pups is often not taken into consideration.

Some pet owners love their dog very much and do take very well care of it. They may think that their dog is most healthy with a wonderful sound temperament, and hope by breeding their dog they will get similar puppies. More often than not the reality is quite different and many pups end up in shelters, or worse. Back yard breeding is one of the leading causes for shelter over-population in the West.

There are also back yard breeders who are considerate about the breed and the pups, but are just not interested in competing with their dogs.

And, there are pet owners who actually primarily breed for financial gain, without taking any consideration about the future of the breed and the pups, and regardless whether they take good care of their dog (and pups) or not.

Furthermore, there is a general believe that every dog needs to mate or produce at least one litter in their lifetime to truly feel fulfilled. This is a myth.

Many backyard breeders have only the best of intentions, but do not realize that by putting just a male and a female together, without any knowledge about the genetics and history of the sire and dam, they can do more harm than good to both the breed in general and to the pups.

Responsible breeding also includes starting up with the socialization process of the puppies, which involves a lot of time, effort and money.

Ok, the next time i see soi dogs going at it, i will call the "breeding" police to ensure the pair will get health checks first

One of my dogs (boy) is a soi dog, he had his fun with a few girls from the street, and i was left with the mess of 11 pups(all now rehomed together with moms)so he is now a post op ladyboy
