Do i interpret correctly that 'stament' is buying the beer in order to attract TV members?
-
Was to Amerika recently and marveled at the selection of domestic and imported beers. And cost up to US$15 per six-pack of 12oz bottles. Sure, Blatz cheaper.
-
Well, Crossy (and others) i will consider a photo or 2 but don't be surprised if what is shown does not seem normal. Certainly it is jury-rigged.
-
In one of those photos i saw a table with only 4 folks sitting around. The table is big enough for 8 surely.
Plz owners, give hungry people a chance to eat and eat and eat.
-
All done. Works perfectly and free of added cost. I simply followed the diagram in reply #4 and bingo!
Thanks to all.

Commercial cigarettes are mankind's ugliest habit. The common plastic tip fouls the environment underfoot for hundreds of years=ugly. The smokers puffing away like Tiny_Tim up the hill completely ruin the air of life=uglyuglyugly. Even when finished and disgarded, the eternal stink remains=ugly.

Someone here spoke of 'monetization' of effort=work as defined by the Thai authority. So if i offered some totally free service, would that be 'non work', and thus permitted?
That's right, i want to offer my valuable service to all mankind, with never a thought of payment from any recipient.
How could that ever be 'work'? Sounds more like some personal emotion or corruption.
PM me for details.
-
Do i give a sharp stick what the Thai people think of me? Oh, most certainly.
My habit is simply to treat each person with respect and dignity; i smile, wave, wai as often as possible to every person i meet. I practice the local thought as related to the Buddha, namely: the cultivation, that is the mental growing daily, of these sublime states of mind; Loving Kindness towards all living beings, Compassion, Sympathetic Joy and Equanimity.
When our moment together ends i would wish the Thai person i just left regards me as a honest and caring fellow soul. The name he calls me is insignificant. The adjective attached is highly important: a swell farang.
-
You know it just might be that those old farangs, sitting around on their smartphones, are keeping the place open.
And let me ask please if all dishes were labeled as to calorie content?

Forget the payment. And no photo available coz i cut the bakelight female connector to bits looking for the ends and direction of the wires. I could not find any evidence that (diagram above, post #4) wires from wall plug went anywhere BUT to connector pin #1: both Line and Neutral.
I'll use the diagram to sort out and test the functions. And i'll wear rubber gloves = the safety net of all sparkys.

I'm only a step above ignorant re electricity but think i have learned that putting the two wires, as from an electric cord, together will cause some problem (a short circuit?). But this is precisely what i have been instructed to do, (i think).
My sewing machine was fitted with a separate motor and speed pedal. To disconnect the power from the machine pull off the Singer 3 prong plug; one prong to the mains the other 2 towards the foot pedal or lost into the bottom of the machine. I needed to replace the 3 prong male plug as it was often slipping out of connection. The prongs were simple, not like an audio plug with + and - separate. There was no indication that the 2 wires leading from the mains plug-in were separated at the prong on the machine. Seemed to me entirely wrong, but i could be mistaken.
The bottom line: can we ever connect the so-called hot and neutral wires together?

Instructive to ask yourself 'why' you do wear underwear in the tropics? Mostly i think from convention, 'mum always told me to wear unders', so even now in my old age i continue to wear unders.
My advice: go commando. But must also learn to use the bum gun effectively. I much prefer commando, except when bicycle riding.

I've been going to Grace Dental, NimmanHaeman area, very near Green Palace hotel. Excellent service for 3 yrs. No complaints. English spoken, western trained.

Downhill to the dirt. Take the OP's advice and close this thread. No social redeeming value, only humor.

"these animals are forced to cross the crocodile-infested Mara River. "
Darwin forcing these animals to cross there? NO. Only a 2 million years of survival dictate that is the best place to cross. A few zebras feed the crocs, the rest cross easily. The gene pool lives on.
And on the topic of police, crossings and Thai car drivers i'd say that in daily life the ordinary thai male feels pretty powerless, so once in the mighty steed, on they power with 100s of horses under their command, driving to victory. Childish to be sure.

Chaing Mai Ram hospital offers a Dermatology Clinic with specialized care, including the Dr. V, as recommended. And please stop using the word 'expensive' as medcare here is probably 1/3 of what you will pay back home.
If you must get cheaper, go to China and accept the medcare offered there.

There is only group of people who are permitted to benefit from the natural goodies of Thailand. Guess who?
Except, of course, for the female goodies.

Contrary to the many rumors, there are no reliable, unfortified plant sources of vitamin B12, including tempeh, seaweeds, and organic produce.
From this website http://veganhealth.org/articles/vitaminb12
Vegans need to either take a vitamin D supplement or drink soy milk fortified with vitamin D. Most vegans need to take a vitamin B-12 supplement to get 2.4 micrograms per day since the vitamin is mainly found in animal products. Some soy milk and breakfast cereals are fortified with B-12.
From http://www.livestrong.com/article/482780-disadvantages-of-being-vegan/
Spirulina does not contain vitamin B12 naturally (see table), and spirulina supplements are not considered to be a reliable source of vitamin B12, as they contain predominantly pseudovitamin B12, which is biologically inactive in humans.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spirulina_(dietary_supplement)
So, if living on plant juices alone then vitamin deficiencies will be in your future. Cure: Eat some animal foods, take a vitamin pill, or buy foods supplemented with needed vitamins.
And the benefits of wheatgrass juice are nothing but hearsay wrapped in a green leaf. I'm not saying it's bad but nor is it especially beneficial. Mostly is hyper-advertising and gullible consumers.

You won't get all the vitamins your body needs from fruits and veg alone. Drop into your blender some red meat, eggs, fish, etc. Even nutritional yeast may work...but do check it out.
I'm not kidding.

Ya' got me. The 12% Bear Beer costs HK$10.90 per 500 and the 8% alcohol beer costs HK$8.90 per. But when i shop in store often the promotion lists both the same.
Really though 12% beer will drop you fast. 8% good enough.
But hey, check it out here http://www.parknshop.com/Product-BEAR/Bear-Beer-Strong-Lager/p/BP_321728

I liked Yachats, Oregon when i lived nearby. I mean the closet road was 5000 km away, to the west, so the air was pretty good. Lots of cloud and foggy/rain during the cold winter so some wood smoke but that too was blown away towards the east.
