Soi 4 Rachada a good night out and just a short stagger after to the late night places, think a lot of the RCA crowd went there coz RCA pretty quiet now isn't it? 

Or have the new clubs there made it a good place for a night out again? must have been at least a year sinced I went there.

There's this club called 'Slim' which is cracking. You may like it or not, but its so packed that we will all be dead if there's a fire accident.

But the prospect of pulling fit girls is too temping !

No.1 night out in Bangkok at the moment IMO if yer into deep underground house, a lot of people who used to go out down soi thong lor have jumped ships back to RCA now

The only other big no no I comited here as a newbie was sitting next to a monk on a bus! Luckily a guy got up and offered to swap seats with me, and I did, finding out later what it was all about!

What is it all about?... I was on the skytrain once, in what I now know to be the monks "seat", a monk got on and gestured me to move, as the skytrain wasnt busy and the monk was a big guy I moved 2 down rather than only to the next one along. He started patting on the one next to him gesturing me to sit there?

2am is true for most places down RCA. The 6am bit is a load of sh1t though, its 1am last orders im afraid!

I think there trying to get the POP3 working properly first

you may need to be careful with the use of proxys depending on what yer using it for, the one above for instance could land u in a spot of bother as it will report itself as an anon proxy to the client yer connecting to.

certain websites will put a block on your account due to this

sounds like the proxy IP yer using doesnt work.. Try a few more, and one should work

I have just picked up a new passport from my embassy, I fly to udon today and am then getting a taxi to the laos border and i'm planning on entering laos.

At the embassy they told me I had to go to the immigration office in bangkok to get stamps moved across, when I told them I was flying today they said get in touch with the boarder to ask as the immigration offices are closed today.

I still have my old passport with the corners cut off, and a valid 30 day visa within it.

Is it going to be plane sailing? or is there going to be a lot of hassle when I get there?

Also, what is the latest time you can have a laos visa issued @ the boarder?

The swimming pool is nice but thats about it.. If u only need one bedroom and dont like studio apparments coz there too small the next one up works out @ over 30k a month for an appartment twice the size you'd need..

For that 30k U could get somewhere new, more than big enough, with a pool, gym, that was furnished in the last 30 years

skype works on a peer 2 peer basis which means that the more people using the program world wide the better and faster your connection. 6 months ago it was pretty unreliable, but has been gaining a lot of ground. Should be improving more as more people start using it.
