Silly question about moving a bank account
It won't be 'transferred'; each province acts independently. Just choose your branch and go in with your passport and existing bank book.

Farage's Breakthrough: Reform UK Makes Waves with Four Parliamentary Seats
I understand exactly how it is played - and have long been an advocate of PR. Labour's seat tally was only so high because of the appalling performance by the Conservatives.........voters didn't want Labour in...............they wanted the Tories out.

Farage's Breakthrough: Reform UK Makes Waves with Four Parliamentary Seats
You are joking......................right? In increased voting share of 0.7 percentage points on 2019. A stunning performance. Almost as many votes received as Reform.

You have obviously never been on a Thai train! Try Kanchanaburi, Death Railway, no doors - you used to be able to sit on the footplate.

David Cameron Warns of National Security Risks Under Keir Starmer's Leadership
Only a fool would think that the Great British electorate would be swayed by what ANY party says they have to offer. The electorate will judge on past performance and that, as we all know, is why the Tories will be heavily defeated. As @JonnyF said there is no indication that Starmer' Labour party will perform any better; that is not the point - the Tories have fcked up sufficiently to give Starmer a free pass. Managing the impact of BREXIT, COVID and the Russia/Ukraine conflict was a very tall and the Tories were not up to it. I have little confidence in Starmer, and his party, but I will be the first to applaud him if he can tackle illegal immigration, manage existing immigration rules correctly, ensure adequate policing and be able to take advantage of the inevitable upturn in economic conditions and a lowering of interest rates.

NHS Treatment
I was disappointed too because the whole process had been so smooth....whether mesh was not used? I don't know. I had quotations from Surin hospital around 80,000 Baht (2016) but I chose Bangkok Hospital Korat partly on the advice of Sheryl who recommended a larger facility in the event of any complications arising.
-
NHS Treatment
No, I wasn't returning. I had the hernia op in Korat (an excellent recommendation from Sheryl), first class treatment - unfortunately it didn't work and I wasn't going to pay another 205,000 Baht. I timed a holiday visit to enable me to see the local GP in the knowledge that the op date should fall into my Christmas visit. I had to make one extra visit for the hospital consultation but managed to do the pre-op stuff remotely.

NHS Treatment
I returned for a hernia op and had no issues. The key for me was still being registered with my doctor. He examined the hernia and made the referral.

Claim or Delay UK pension
I admit, I made my claim as early as possible - fortunately did not experience the delays you have suffered. Do you have contact with IPC, Newcastle ? They are said to be very helpful.

Claim or Delay UK pension
I suggest that you may be a little tardy in your communications. Due in March (and these things are like clockwork) I would have been in touch in March - and every week since until the money was in my bank account.

Advice needed post extension retirement funds
Yes. I also agree with you about waiting until a month before expiry and applying as if nothing has happened. Obviously, make sure the account is above 800k twp months before. Worse case scenario it costs 8,500 Baht (6,600 Baht net of the extension fee) to use an agent. Wordt worse case is do a border bounce without reentry permit and start from scratch with a visa exempt.... or take a bit longer away and enter on a Non-Imm 'O'.

Advice needed post extension retirement funds
Personally, I don't think it is Jomtien. I have only been asked for 12 months statements when I have used the income method.
-
Advice needed post extension retirement funds
I am not wrong.....it happened to me 2 years ago at Jomtien - they only focussed on not dropping under 400k. Nobody I know of bothers to attend the 3 month appointment. I doubt that it is the Jomtien office he deals with (the lady said keep above 400k and there was no mention of a 3 month appointment). Even better.
-
Claim or Delay UK pension
It isn't - the time taken to recover 'lost' income is almost 10 years
-
Advice needed post extension retirement funds
No it isn't a bad situation; even Jomtien don't bother checking the 3 month rule, despite giving you an appointment notice. He just needs to keep above 400k.

Corbyn Would Have Made a Better Prime Minister Than Johnson Says Starmer
For that you blame the Tories? No wonder Scotland will not see independence in your lifetime.
-
Advice needed post extension retirement funds
800K should indeed remain for 3 months after approval. That is the Immigration rule. Not many Immigration offices check. They will check for dropping below 400k. I doubt that it will cause your friend any issues....just tell him to keep above 400k.

Thailand Prepares for Casino Boom Amid Economic Hopes
No change there. It has been happening for decades and I doubt the casinos will bring a halt to the 'village casinos' where they play hi-lo etc.

Reform UK Overtakes Tories in Polls for the First Time
When Cameron (the only statesman the Tories had) stepped aside, Farage should have been given an 'honorary role, to implement BREXIT. The Tories would at least have someone to blame - and it would have provided a much better bas s for BREXIT to be implemented.
