  1. Noooo.....I always stick the Aircon on in these situations. I think the username "Sticky" was already taken.
  2. In my case it covered processing the extension application with me evidencing the financial requirements. This year I want to do it without my funds so it will be 12,500 Baht.
  3. It's no bother, really.
  4. Interesting. My experience, over 19 years, has been somewhat different in that I can only recall 4 people in that time who gave up on Thailand. Two went 'home' to die, one was skint and the other chose Cambodia after a business failure here.
  5. Not quite. Whilst you will no doubt be able to satisfy the requirements for the 'new' extension based on marriage, your problem is not being able to evidence adherence to the terms of approval LAST year....ie 800k 2 month prior to approval, 800k for 3 months after approval and then not falling below 400k. I think that it would do no harm to talk to your local IO as practices do vary from office to office.
  6. Unfreezing is not going to happen under ANY government. There is little national sympathy for our situation ("you chose to live there etc....") and there is certainly no motivation for the politicians to change anything.
  7. The issue is that only retirement extensions can be approved locally, at the discretion of the IO - marriage extensions are sent up the line for sign off. Coupled with fact that you first have to evidence adherence to the last terms of approval (you can't) it forces you back to the agent. I imagine that the only way you could do this is to let the current approval lapse and then start over again, on a marriage basis, with 400k in your bank.
  8. So it was a desk top review - you haven't actually been there and experienced it?
  9. I am guessing that the bike is around 6 years old? Have you advertised it on local forums?
  10. Did you monitor the air quality on Koh Chang....................or from your room in the Netherlands?
  11. Large volume in a short space of time usually equals "w4nker".
  12. What? You want to save Thailand from corruption? I think that you might have missed the bus on that one.
  13. I am glad I paid 8,000 Baht for the relief of not standing in line.
  14. At that time Immigration controls were significantly tightened as it was believed that the perpetrators entered through Poipet.
  15. Not by self combustion, usually as a result of hitting a hard, static object.
