  1. Where from ? From what I have seen, embassies are only issuing a single entry Non-Imm 'O' based on retirement.
  2. False statement. I have at least 2 friends who 'qualify' but choose to engage an agent so as to avoid having to deal with Immigration. In both cases, their extension of stay stamp is as valid as yours and mine.
  3. ....but agents remain a practical route for those who choose to use them.
  4. Don't comment then. Are you with Jomtien? If so, you need a CURRENT TM30 recept before you do the next 90 day report in person.
  5. Correct. I returned in July and when Jomtien introduced the new requirement I got my resort manager to resubmit a TM30 for me. He spoke with Immigration who told him that I should go to the Immigration office (with a printout of the TM30 submission) to get a new TM30 receipt to insert in my passport. That is what I did, no fine. I leave next week (on a re-entry permit) to spend Xmas in the UK. I return on 30th December. I will get the resort manager to submit a TM30 again and I will go to Jomtien shortly afterwards. I need to get another reentry permit so I will attempt to get that at the same time.
  6. Jomtien require a new TM30 receipt dated after your last entry if you are doing 'any business' with them..........................via an agent, or direct.
  7. ...I bet you have heard that a few times....................................
  8. ....and you can't say that about many Geordies! I don't think Thailand/Thai politics is ready (or has room) for an Abhisit Vejjajiva at the moment. It is a shame because his broader based approach makes him a valuable counsellor for younger Democrats.
  9. Perhaps you could post a list of all the other parties and what they stand for.
  10. He may be getting confused with the Prachuap Kiri Khan bus accident..... ....or he may just be confused!
  11. Just delete the post. Few people will bother to remember you.
  12. This post smacks of envy... Anyone who is impressed by somebody else, taking a penthouse, is some kind of jerk.
  13. 2,100 baht for me. At this point I try to avoid saying "it's less than 50 Quid" (+1,100 Baht for the Isaaan house).
  14. When you are retired, every day is a Sunday.
  15. That reporter wouldn't last 10 minutes in Pattaya.
  16. No one said it would be easy............................
  17. That is my day job............................comedians are not just for Xmas!
  18. Are you talking about America?......or somewhere in Europe?
