  1. No need to go back and forth on the pay or not pay for it. We all pay for it....not disputing that, but good sex doesn't mean a good relationship. A lady, who would like to work wth me in the RE business would be nice......

So, what are you after? Good sex or good relationship? If you want a lady who would like to work with you, go hang around universities and colleges. But don't be a freak (or the one that begins with 'p').

    Good luck.

  2. Just a suggestion, and please don't take offence.

Your well written post would be 1,000% more 'reader-friendly' if you broke it down into several paragraphs.

That huge bloock of text puts most people off reading it.

    Mobi

    Second that.

    Nicely written though. :)

  3. I have one topic about how much RAM and I think I go with 4 or 8 GB, but which RAM (speed, brand, etc) would you recommend for a new Ivy bridge Z77 based computer?

I don't need to max out the best possible speed, but of course don't want to slow down the system as well. But I want stable and long living RAM.....

Windows or linux? 32 or 64 bit operating system? What are you using your machine for?

    Win 7

32 or 64 bit I have not decided yet

90 % heavy duty office work (2 monitor, 2x excel and 10+ sheets open, 1x word, firefox, Thunderbird with a 10 GB emailfolder, etc etc).

    10 % movies and games

if it is working stable it will be an office file server a couple of years later.

Most of the time I let the computer run over night...say 140 hours per week on.

Or in other words, I use the office as excuse to buy myself a nice toy :-))) but still the office is the main purpose.

    Ivy Bridge i5-3570K, P8Z77-V PRO

Sure after some time I'll overclock it, I read already the guides on how to de-lid the CPU laugh.png

But I try to restrict myself to not doing it immediately....

That is a lot of tasks. Since ram comes cheap, go for 8 gb, provided you install win 7 x64 so you don't feel, if only i got 8 gb of ram, when system slows down in the middle of doing something important.

    Cheers

I think he means popular thai channels, the likes of ch 3, 5,7, etc. It receives some 100 odd channels, mostly thai.

Edit: there is a thread on ipm http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?/topic/384371-Ipm Satellite

  6. All the Macs are nice, but lower Intel Cores, (i5? max), and of course they're pricier.

Nope. available with i7 2.5Ghz Quad Cores.

Right on, but 13 in macbook pro available in i7 dual core only, while 15/17 in comes with i7 quad core. iMacs available in i5 quad core.

  7. I shall be arriving in Bangkok in early October, after arranging a 1st class flight. I need detail on best accomodation and transport. I seek information based on personal experience, not a keyboard egomaniac. I demand the best.

    Regards

    Yes, Master...

  8. Recently been hunting for undies, shirts and shoes at the outlet Mall

I am six foot, 100Kg fella, fairly normal/large foreigner

XL-Shop had no XL stuff at all! I was told only have M/L

    Export shop the same story

    Shoe sizes were a problem

surely this place is geared up for tourists!?!? and they wonder why it's quiet.........

Try Export Shop @seacon square, ground and 1st floor towards Robinson.

  9. Well thanks everyone. In the end I bought the HP Pavilion dv7-6b06TX, more for the screen size (17.3") vs. the dv6. It has Intel Core i7 and 8GB. About to set it up, so doubtless I shall be lost in that twilight zone for a few hours. None of the items on the HP Laptop website were available (with AMD Dual Core), but I think what I bought should be more than adequate. I wanted the bigger screen because I'm used to 21" with my desktop. All the Macs are nice, but lower Intel Cores, (i5? max), and of course they're pricier.

    How much did you pay?
