What political resolution do they think will work. The only political resolution ISIS will accept is total worldwide capitulation and acceptance of Sharia. The keyword is COULD not WOULD and they wont. It is cheaper for Australians to fly and holiday in Bali than it is to drive and holiday in Australia. I come from Perth in the Southwest of Australia and I can tell you that one long weekend in the wine growing, touristy spots further south costs more than an all in weeks holiday in Bali.

New insurance cover for the over 70's not available in Thailand, I tried to get cover and I worked in insurance in Thailand for many years. A Danish company will offer world wide cover at about 500 USD per month???

Then you should check out Pattaya Expats club. I pay 29,000 baht per year for reasonable cover.

Why not go with travelers insurance. Thailand TAT has info on a reasonable policy.

At least the Republicans are addressing the problem as it is today. Obama is trying to draw a moral equivalence to something that happened almost a thousand years ago and ignoring the fact that the crusades were sparked by Islam's own actions: Muslims were invading Christian lands to convert the inhabitants and assume control in the name of Islam. The president's ideology of appeasement is not helping the situation. His weakness is making things worse and worse.

And 8 Muslim Brotherhood supporters as advisors in the white house doesn't help a lot.
