  1. Any way you want to look at it Spurs will be Ground Sharing and the two boards are related by marriage

My money is still on OS with WHU it actually made sense for them to do that from the off set but they are all pig headed - it would have given them both better financial clout

  2. How do the Spurs fans feel about Ground Sharing with West Ham (for maybe one season) whilst their stadium is being finished?

Do you honestly believe thats ever going to happen?!!

Have you read the minutes from the latest meeting between the Spurs Supporters Trust and the Spurs Board?

You will be ground sharing - period! - where exactly do you expect you will be going

Especially after Spurs made all that fuss about the Olympic Stadium in the first place and wanting to go there

Or perhaps ground share with Orient - or even Arsenal

    Already organised innit.

  4. And of course Real Madrid might be after a manager if they don't win at the weekend.

Whats that got to do with Spurs ? now if you'd said "Ancelotti might be available after this weekend, now that would have made sense" !

Especially as Spurs fans are deluded enough to think he will join them even if he is available

  5. Well its been confirmed on another thread

You CANNOT send Sterling to Thailand and convert at the other end - they send over what they call "GBP equivalent" - the guy sent over £4500 and the difference was about 6000 baht (on what it would have been sending Sterling) - taking into account the £4 to send, the intermediary rate and receiving rate - that still makes it an awful way to send money

I knew they would never reduce the cost of transfers to £4 for no reason

  6. People keep saying that we wasted 100m on the magnificent seven, implying we wouldn't get anything get anything for them if we sold them now, so how much are the seven actually worth now ?

Paulinho £17,000,000 Nacer Chadli £7,000,000 Roberto Soldado £25,800,000 Etienne Capoue £8,600,000 Christian Eriksen £11,000,000 Erik Lamela £25,800,000 Vlad Chiriches £8,500,000

Paulinho and Eriksen will be the only 2 to make any real profit

Soldado and Lamela will offset the increases on any of the rest

  7. I have sat back and read everyones advice so far

Here is my take on things

I would definitely be buying an asset in UK - its never going to go down in price over the long term and can always be cashed in at some point

I would look to buy a Commercial Property with a nice long lease and a good covenant

The main advantages are it will be on a FRI - Full Insuring and Repairing Lease - this means you will have nothing to do apart from collect rents

It can be purchased by an offshore company giving all sorts of tax benefits with a Trust set up behind it - as long as you remain overseas and do not visit the UK for more than 180 days over any 4 consecutive years you will be fine

Naturally you will pay 20% Tax - of which you can offset all expenses but the property will be devoid of any inheritance tax

Also - which is the most important thing to me is that it can be protected from any money hungry people that come along in the future - no-one knows who their kids are going to marry - so it can be set up to merely produce an income but cannot be sold or form any part of a divorce settlement

Once you have rent money this can then be appropriated as you wish via all the other options and opinions given by others

These properties can be bought outside of London and could be a small Bank Branch or a Bookies or small supermarket etc etc - and it is possible to achieve 8% plus - under that yield it is not worth doing

  8.

On another thread - there are 3 individuals that are claiming that their regular transfers from HSBC to Thailand leave in Sterling and the conversion takes place in Thailand

Do we have any official link that can confirm one way or the other

its standard banking practice, its your instructions they operate by,you make a request in black and white, they confirm,to your instructions, the rate you recieve is the daily rate issued by the thai bank on there web site,no big deal just one of a million transactions done by banks world wide on a daily basis.

I think you have the wrong end of the stick

A few BM's here have stated you CANNOT send Sterling online to your Thai Bank from HSBC and you can only send Baht

BM's on another site are saying you can send either

I was merely looking for clarification

if you ask to send sterling hsbc will,if you dont hsbc will send baht,i have done generally one transfer a year for last numerous years and have always had sterling transfered no proplem.

Do you not think I know that?

I was just wondering why HSBC would reduce the price of a service from £17 to £4 if there was no gain in it - and that there might be a catch

Others stated that they could not send Sterling - so once again I was seeking clarification from someone who has performed a transfer online since the price reduction - do you fall in to that category?

  10. Anyway back to the real story

    4 wins in a row!

    One goal conceded!

Keep up the good work lads - you are being paid well to do it!

Any coincidence that things clicked when Morrison was out of the team......

  11. This comes from a very very reliable source

The reason behind Morrison wanting to leave West Ham:

Prior to this saga of him wanting to join Fulham etc there was a Training Ground bust up between Morrison (M) and Noble (N)

The story goes that a ball went out of play and N asked/told M to get it - M took offence and words were exchanged - it got more heated and N knocked M to the floor with a single punch

The players jumped in and separated them - M vowed that to FS that he wanted a transfer and in any case could not play as he has a niggling groin strain

M is very unpopular at WHU even Nolan who was told to keep an eye on him has washed his hands of him

So expect him to be sold at the end of the season

  12. Reading between the lines - I am confident that the OP has paid for everything - its just that having to admit to that as well as the fact that she has vanished would have brought a tidal wave of criticism

The OP is mistaken if he believes she has used the visa to go to another country - she cannot it is only for entry to the UK

My opinion is she was not prepared to follow through and there is the trust issue raised by the OP mentioning the possibility of another boyfriend

    Another lesson learnt....

  13. Not sure if The Loaf has been mentioned - Soi Lengkee just near to intersection with Buakhao

It used to do great Pizzas - I was there in October and they possibly have a new chef and the base is now paper thin

Their buffet night is by far the best value Pizza in town anywhere - as much as you can eat for 285 baht and they keep the hot pizzas coming

Wasn't it B225 before and are they still doing the pizza buffet on Wednesday?

Not sure which night it is but it is 285 but you can buy a discount voucher which gives you 15% discount i.e 850 buys you a voucher is 1000 baht worth of spend on food and drink
