No. I never said that THIS time that it worked. My only error was replying to your nonsensical comments

90% of the rejections while others are successful are due to incorrect data input. So try a new approach, stop blaming the system, figure out how to make it work, stop telling yourself you are doing it right and doing the same thing over and over and over, look for where you can do it differently and test. 10 to 1 you have been making an input error.
vpn off?
Look at your <deleted>. “90 percent rejections” and “10 to 1 “ reveals you did not read my details nor have ANY factual info to substantiate your “data”. Just shut up

I got that message because I tried to do it a day too early. Suggest trying again tomorrow if you're aiming for 15 days in advance.
Started the online day 10 days before renewal date...won't work after 3 straight days of trying.

Is Promenada processing 90 day reports - simple yes or no please. Thanks
I asked because in trying to process my 90 days reporting on line the dreaded “report to IMM “ popped up. Don’t understand why as I last entered Thailand in April 2020 and have been able to do online reporting the last 2 times without any problems

So in summation:
Extension fee 1,900THB
Mandatory Covid-19 test 2,700-5,000 THB
(Unclear whether waived if previously received covid-19 vaccine)
1 year LMG Thai health insurance coverage 9,000-11,500 THB
(no withstanding cost of additional health insurance that will actually cover all in-out patient services sans LMG's high deductible and noninsuranable exceptions)
Maybe 15,000-/+THB total cost to extend visa.
Extensions of Stay based on marriage do NOT require insurance. As already stated in other posts, insurance only for extensions of stay based on retirement when having entered Thailand with O-A (Not O) Visa

John Drake- I had not found any reference to a temporary increase to SS from a multitude of articles when I searched on Friday. Your WP is the first I’ve seen. Thanks

Google or any other search engine doesn’t provide any results about a SS temp increase either. So what is the source of your factual info?
-
I haven’t come across any information that Biden has proposed any SS increase as part of his COVID stimulus plan once he takes office.

Do you have any pictures of crack lines?
I did but concluded pics weren’t going to realize a finding without a physical investigation of the damage. Having said that, I don’t observe cracks in posts or load bearing columns so I’m going to postpone the search for a structural engineer to come to my home and do an investigation. Thanks.

I arrived back in CM at 1930 on the Thai Smile flight...only 16 passengers. At the baggage claim there was a large group of Chinese who had arrived before my flight. To exit the terminal you had to either have downloaded the CM Chana app or fill out a form very similar to the TM6 Arrival/Departure card that is required for international arrivals- flight number, where you travelled from, other foreign countries visited, address in CM, etc. and it had a series of health questions to answer yes or no- do you have a fever, coughing, etc....I could not successfully download the app so I was directed to a table to go pick up the form and fill it out...there were no forms so I had to go back to the attendant who then went and got me the form...I filled it out and tried to understand if there was a que to exit but it was very disorderly...I just walked straight to the attendant and handed him the form which he quickly examined and waved me out the door....the font size of the form is so small to read....
In Bangkok, at my departure gate, there were posting of the QR code for downloading the CM Chana app and at the gate I was asked if I had done that...but my phone battery was almost spent so I told the gate agent that I would wait until I got to CM to try then...
So no quarantine or any questions as to where in Bangkok I had spent my day....

I have to fly to Bangkok on Monday morning, returning the same day in the evening.
Bangkok is one of the government declared "maximum control zones".
Does any know- or can point me to the most up-to-date resource- what I can expect upon my return to the CM airport Monday evening? I have heard news of possibly must be tested and and/or enter into a self-imposed 14-day quarantine.

Yes but be sure the power is off to that line before you try to cut. No neon signal. Else you will find out what a short circuit is.
Always off when I’m handling electricity. Thanks for your kind advice and support.

Thanks. I should have made clear I confirmed that only the red wire was hot via a neon tester so it goes to the new light’s brown. The previous light’s blue wire mated to my home’s white wire which now goes to the new light’s blue wire as its installation instructions says the new lights blue wire is neutral. That leaves my home’s black wire which did not register as live using the neon tester and in the old light installation it connected to the old light’s yellow/green ground
Ok. Hooked the wires as I described and the light works fine. Now I need to complete the wiring with butt splices or Wago connector types as others recommended.
I want to remove the nut adapter that still affixed to the end of my power line used for the old light. Can I just cut the whole piece off and peel the outer jacket to get to my 3 wires I need to strip and splice to the new light (I hope my Q makes sense)?(And in my pic I have, for now, disconnected the red hot wire from the light’s brown wire awaiting my final splicing).

" I now conclude my home power is:
Red= Hot
White= Neutral
Black= Earth/Ground"
Going forward, don't assume this to be true at other locations in the house. The odds aren't good.
Good point and I already felt this location is probably not indicative of how the rest of the home is wired as this was an added line installed after my house was originally built and wired. I’ll be opening up some electrical plugs to check what those look like later.

A very hard fault to detect is if the earth and neutral are reversed,seriously be carefull,did you buy the unit in uk? that would explain the wiring colours but seriously would ask your mates if any of them are clued up.
I purchased the light from home pro here in Thailand. It was manufactured in Israel and is a Philips brand

The wiring colours appear to be british,with all due respect don,t see how a multi tester will help you asertain which cable is connected to which feed,a neon tester will tell which feed wire is live,but seriously as the risk of electrocution could be fatal would advise to get someone in who knows what they,re doing.
I used a neon tester. Only the red wire returned a live indication

Ah, 4 wires to the old light. I wonder what the 4th one was for (could be a switch output to control other lights).
OK, really the safest thing for you to do is to go shopping and get a neon-screwdriver and a cheapo multimeter (you can get both at Tesco).
Identify which wires are "live/hot" (if you don't know how to use a neon, please let us know) and connect the brown from your new light to one of those. The chances are good that the white is neutral (if it's not live), so put the blue from the light on that and see if it works.
Edit - Did the old light have brown, blue, red and green/yellow? If so just hook the new light colours the same and ignore where the red went. I'd leave the green/yellow off until you know if that black wire really is earth.
" Did the old light have brown, blue, red and green/yellow?" Yes
Just checked my home power....only the Red wire is hot. I now conclude my home power is:
Red= Hot
White= Neutral
Black= Earth/Ground
I should connect the new light's Brown to Home Red; new light's Blue to Home White; and new light's Green/Yellow to Home Black.

Or, is the braided wire jumping the red and blue? Very strange.
It's jumping the old light's Blue wire only

I don't like that green/yellow connected to the black, leave the ground off for now.
The two white braided wires went to the old light?
If so just connect brown and blue to the same places.
There's only one braided wire. Looking at this pic again, the left side are the 4-colored wires that are from the old light fixture and the right side are the 3-colored wires from my home power. This single braided wire definitely was/is not part of my home power and the electrician who installed the old light inserted it into the top slot on the right side and connected the other end into the same slot as the old light fixtures blue wire.
So, left (old light fixture) to right (home power) and top (#1) to bottom (#4), it had been wired:
#1- Red wire opposite braided White
#2- Brown wire opposite Red
#3- Braided white and blue wire opposite White
#4- Yellow/Green opposite Black

Why is the marriage extension so difficult ?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
Medical insurance only required for O-A visa entry extensions based on retirement Can do OA extensions based on marriage and no insurance is required even when your original OA visa was based on retirement. I switched my extensions basis from retirement to marriage last year to avoid the medical insurance.
