Internal knowledge is a subjective concept in my opinion,  impossible to be measured concretely.

Hence each one in particular, is free to give his own value to it.

    Right presumption, wrong conclusion.

Of course it's a subjective concept and can not be measured like an external knowledge.
That doesn't mean it can't be evaluated using other parameters.
The fact that you can't see those parameters or don't understand them, says absolutely nothing about the value in the words of those masters.
If you consider your opinion of the same value of i.e. Buddha's teaching....well, I'm sorry, but then I won't waste any more of my time discussing this with you.

    Apparently without success for everyone,

I always stated that opinions have more value than others, if they are expressed by specialist in the matter,

specialist consider as such by everyone,

not by one himself, or a few dealing his opinion.

You mean a specialist you can agree to be a specialist, even though you don't have the knowledge to judge if he's a specialist or not?

"Everyone" will never ever agree on everything, especially things like God, coz they are subjective.

Basically you're saying you're willing to believe whatever the majority of people believes. Who cares if its true or not.... >>>???? ???????????????? ????????????

  3. Hello all

I'm thinking about getting a second hand car. Something small and under 400k.
I've been looking at the Mazda 2 and 3 hatchbacks and I really like the design and interior finish. I have some doubts about their reliability though as I heard that many of the Mazdas have issues with the fuel pump (or cooling pump?). Does anyone of you have more info or real life experience with the Mazda 2 or 3?

Also, perhaps you can recommend another similar car?

    Thank you

If the earth is millions of years old, there would be standing room only.  Please do the math starting with Adam and Eve.  Then start over after the flood.  This requires a little thought on your part.  Don't rely on some imbecile who works for the American Museum of Natural History.

  5. I use those rubber coated textile gloves when I have a very dirty or messy job to do. For example, when restoring an old Kawa AR80, the amount of decades old dirt and grease made wearing those gloves a welcomed necessity.
During welding jobs I wear thick leather gloves.

    and you understood it?

Ok so the you also believe that Meditation makes you a better human "evolved" being and as such your beliefs must be correct. they don't need to be replicable and No peer review necessary?

I think I did and I agree with sunmaster.
Did you read what I wrote about meditation?? I clearly stated that what you encounter on the inner journey is replicable and that the peer review is done by other practitioners and especially teachers.
If that weren't the case, there would be no yoga system at all, but just a formless blob of individual experiences with nothing in common.

" Another highly effective way is to follow a meditative practice. "

How does the meditative practice verifies the validity of one's beliefs ?

    Good question.

First of all, let me clarify that meditative practice doesn't only refer to sitting in meditation, but it's a way of life that includes right nutrition, physical health, leading a highly moral life and a constant effort to  improve the mind. Leading such a focused life greatly accelerates your evolution.
It's not possible to make good progress if you meditate 20 minutes a day, but still indulge in mind numbing and immoral activities.

When you start on that path, you follow the directions of those who have navigated the inner landscape before you and you can first-hand explore and verify if what they said is true or not. That way your beliefs may change, not because someone or a book told you so, but they will automatically change and adapt based on your own experience and new data.
The individual experiences can not be dismissed as random "feelings" or "visions". They have common grounds in all practitioners and are thus verifiable by other peers. That's why an experienced teacher can give you advice and support your progress, in the same way a music teacher can help you to become a proficient musician.

That's the point. FREE CHOICE??? Where's the 'free choice'? Where's these murdered people's god-given free will? Where's the children born with brain cancer or leukemia's free will or choice? Or the kidnapped child that is raped, tortured and brutally murdered? Where's their god-given free will? Or the thousands of children that die from malnutrition on a daily basis?

    FREE CHOICE?!?

Or are you saying only the monsters have the 'free choice'? Not the victims? ONLY The monsters...just like the monsters that are all the non-existent deities. Christian, Muslim and Jewish and many of the others.

Day to day life is dangerous. Disease, famine, natural weather events. Crossing the street, driving, selfies! Wild animals, insects, and the most dangerous wild animal of them all...Humans. Imperfect, many cruel and mentally damaged, jealous, mean, vengeful, prideful and out of control.

Wake up and smell the BS!

I understand what you're saying and I see why you would think the whole "system" is unfair.

It depends on the point of view I think. If you consider humans to be victims of circumstances, of their environment where they randomly happen to grow up, of the social and financial status of their families and more importantly, victims of the limited time they are allowed to exist.....then your reasoning is very justified.

On the other hand, if we assume we have a soul or eternal consciousness that is only bound by time for a very short period while incarnated, then we gain a much wider perspective of our life (or lives).

Like Shakespeare said "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages."

We are like actors who chose to play a role for a limited time on earth, forgetting that we are actors. When the curtain falls, we awaken from the dream. We may have played the roles of enemies on stage, but behind it, we turn back to be best friends, because we know it was all a play.
All the suffering, the struggles and heartaches will drop away just like a nightmare dissolves quickly upon waking up.

You say life is dangerous, it sure is. But it's also amazingly beautiful, full of adventures and things to learn.
You say there are terrible people out there, absolutely true. But the vast majority of people are just like you and me, struggling to live this life the best way we can, with our ups and downs, stumbling sometimes, making mistakes, but still going forward.

You have the free choice to change your point of view if you want to. Isn't that amazing?

  9. They say God has created man in his image, when in truth it's the other way around.
We have personified God in our image.

And to answer the post above. There is only one way to prove the existence of Spirit, but you have to do it on your own. You can't rely on a book or on a belief system (aka BS). Some people might steer you in the right direction, but it's you who has to make the first step, wrestle with your own shadow, peel the onion layers until you find who you truly are. Once you know that, you'll know what "God" is.

I honestly don't understand why so many people are content with "believing" when there are so many ways to "knowing". I guess it's just easier.

  10. I know I'm reviving a very old thread, but since I am considering getting one of these mini vans, I was wondering if there are any new experiences you'd like to share.

People here seem to range from "absolute rubbish" to "cheap and well worth it".
Price and size would fit my needs perfectly as I would only use it for a very short daily distance to the post office and maybe an occasional trip to the race track with a bike in the back.
Another option for me would be the Toyota Hiace (similar price and size, but about 17 years older).
    Any ideas?
