Had the same issue about a year ago... also ED visa. I was allowed to travel back to Singapore, where I flew from. I did not have to fly "home"
The stamp they put in my passport was all in Thai. I asked the official to tell me what it said but he ignored it.
I then asked the woman at the Thai Air office when I did the rebooking back to Singapore, what the stamp said - she said "insufficient funds to enter Thailand" - I was amazed as at that time I owned a condo (which I recently sold) - Also I have a bank acc in Thai & Singapore - where I could of showed my funds, probably more than the official earns in a year.
Then the other thing they never asked what I was studying, never spoke to me in Thai - just said visa not valid... I called my visa agent who spoke to the official, still no help. I returned to Thailand the following day, my agent had arranged an official to meet me off the plane.... he then saw me thru immigration, as my visa WAS valid.. and OF COURSE I had to give the official some money... nice !
After that I used the same visa 3 times in and out of Thailand without issues... it then cancelled and I will not renew or apply for another visa. Basically Thai immigration do as they want - when they want and they dont care at all !!

Locked Up Abroad - at least she has an opportunity to sell her story when she gets out of prison in about 12 years.
12 yrs?? Last year one woman was found with 1.5 kgs in her deadlock hair - she got a huge fine pluss 15 yrs !! 7 kgs would be a much LONGER sentence surely?

Could that have been because money problems? No more money? Thai wife get up and leave, man kill self...
Why do people assume that all Thai women marry a man for money? just because a few deluded fools fall for some bar girl who sees money as no 1, i know a guy who is very ill and has little money ,but his wife has nursed and cared for the poor sod for years and will be devastated when he finally goes ,he is her life and she is Thai and from a poor familly.
Very well put. Some people seem to put everyone in the same classification. Many, and I mean many, Thai women actually do not get married to a foreigner just for money. Everyone who thinks they do must have a very sad life
Quite agree - but unfortunately Thai's have the reputation of been "gold digger's"

I just read this on the other world feeds and had a bit of a chuckle. Here it is, 10 days since the disappearance of MH370 and the Thai military just now release their radar traces. When asked why they just released them now, their response was that no one had asked them. Priceless.
EDIT: As you would expect, the western media is now ripping Thailand a new one for taking so long to release this data.
Oh come on they have been busy with the passport thing and it just slipped their mind. No one asked them if they knew anything and they didn't think it was important.
Thailand's military says its radar detected a plane that may have been Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 just minutes after the jetliner's communications went down.
It also says it didn't share the information with Malaysia earlier because it wasn't specifically asked for it.

They did not have to be "asked for it" - they have been involved in the search from practically day ONE - !!

Just read that 2 ONE-WAY tickets in the named of the stolen passports were issues by a travel agency in Pattaya.
yes it was on channel news asia yesterday - two consecutive ticket numbers also. So why have the Malaysian Authorities not yet published the photos of these passport holders yet??!!
Why has THAIVISA not yet zoned in on this news - like contact the travel agency or wherever the tickets were bought, in Pattaya - that is what any good news agency would do !!

Time to check all pictures on the passports of the passenger’s and compare with the CCTV and see who not fit in.
Then publish the pictures in media and find out the name of the 2 ghosts.
After that I think we can have an idea if they are false immigrants or terrorists

Also as the passports were stolen in Thailand (Phuket) - why not have more emphasis on the Thai side of this news... like "channel news asia" even reported that the airtickets of the two false passport holders, were bought in Pattaya and are consecutive numbers !!
Thaivisa news reports need to be more accurate and give more information as well as follow up on stories !
