    Nothing is so bad that cannot be overcome... and the only thing to fear is fear itself.

    If you have an illness (even HIV or Cancer) there is some help available.. sometimes it would be best to go home to your country for the support you need

    Just DO NOT leave this... sort it out, whatever it is ASAP - then you will feel alot better within yourself..

    When my staff comes in the morning everyone wais, when they leave the same.

    Unless I have the coffee in the hand I wai back like everyone other does.

    I have one Thai customer who always greets me with "Heil Hitler" crazy.gif.pagespeed.ce.dzDUUqYcHZ.gif instead of Wai

    "500 Baht to attract quality tourists" - they might want to start of with "quality policing & quality immigration services"

    100 000 illegal foreigners in Thailand, does that include the Cambodians they use in their fishing trade and other hard labour work or is that just under a different heading of "slavery"

    If they know there are more than 100 000 illegal foreigners, they must have the figure from somewhere, so why havnt they follwed the lead and do something about it !!

    I think we just get frustrated at times because the way Thai's are. We need to remember we are foreigners here. Also need to remember this country has never had colonization - sometimes good or bad comes from this. (Maybe a pride that they grow up with)

    Thai's are great to socialize with, party and have lots of fun... friendly until pushed too far or misunderstood (language issues)

    Thai's to work with is a nightmare !! Terrible compared to other asian countries

    Thai insensitivity continues..

    Things to remember:

    1) Don't make issues with locals - we are all outsiders no matter what our circumsatances are here

    2) Ignore what they say - less issues in the long run

    3) Remember they are a "simple" people, most are still in some rural rice area and they don't know better - they are primitive and one has to remember this

    4) They are rather childish and know only Thailand as their little world - they are not used to the BIGGER picture in life

    5) You cannot reason with Thai's - they mostly think they are right and even when wrong or proven wrong, they still wont admit it - to save their "face"
