  1. I'd be very happy to demonstrate ugly aggression on him, just for your education of course.
  2. The 'owner', if Chinese, will be looking at a long term investment. When the lion is old/big enough it will be slaughtered and the bones used in Chinese traditional medicines.
  3. I fully agree, look what happened the last time they tried that between 2016 and 2020!
  4. It does not codify allowing 5000 illegal entries per day, it sets an obligation to the Govt for it to shut down the border if there are 5,000 per day rolling average over a week or 8500 in one day. Senate Border Security Bill Text Explained—Five Key Takeaways (newsweek.com)
  5. Whilst I agree that the causal relationship between celibacy and child abuse is not proven, I cannot agree with your claim - 'There are just as many pedophiles per capita out in the public sector'. Research in Australia suggests otherwise - Are Catholic Clergy more Likely to Be Paedophiles than the General Public? Redux - BishopAccountability.org (bishop-accountability.org) This research suggests that 10% of Catholic priests may be pedophiles; 20 to 200 times more than the incidence in the general population. The question to be asked is why do so many people 'apparently' volunteer for a life of celibacy? Do they have ulterior motives to get close to the more vulnerable members of society?
  6. The worst cases of man-eating leopards were in India where bodies were dumped in the jungle during an epidemic rather than buried. One in Panar was credited with over 400 kills and one in Rudrapayag got over 125. Colonel Jim Corbett managed to eventually kill both of them at the cost of lots of grey hair and wrinkles. Both seem to have got used to the taste after feasting on decomposing epidemic victims rather than due to age or infirmity. Generally, they will stay well clear of humans but seem to be quite keen on dogs and other small animals. Human flesh seems to be an 'acquired' taste but once tried they become quite addicted to it. Beautiful creatures. One walked past my side of the car in Kruger National Park; the window motor, unlike my heart rate, seemed very slow that day!
  7. Your interpretation of this statement -The proposed Senate immigration bill includes new limits on asylum at the border, including an expulsion power that allows rapid return of migrants to Mexico if encounters surpass certain thresholds. The expulsion authority would become mandatory if encounters exceed 5,000 per day. - is incorrect. 5,000 per day is a 'trigger' number that brings the expulsion power into force immediately when numbers exceed 5,000 in any one day. To extrapolate that to an annual number is simply misleading as the expulsion power comes into effect way before annual numbers can reach your calculated figure. Your posit is like saying, 'if I put on 5 kilos in a week that means I will gain 260 kilos in a year. As you start your diet immediately after gaining 5 kilos you will never gain the extra 260 kilos.
  8. And, depending on your belief system, arrest the God who created it in the first place?
  9. No, Democrats can't vote in New Hampshire's GOP primary | Fact check (usatoday.com)
  10. Exactly! The links have long since been posted, and therefore difficult to locate. If you so strongly believe in their veracity post them again for everyone's enlightenment. UN expenditure may very well be audited, but I suggested/speculated it may not have been properly accounted for. As it seems the construction of such an extensive network of tunnels would require huge volumes of concrete I suggested a survey of amounts of concrete used compared to above ground construction may prove enlightening. I have no intention of harassing you over links long since posted, simply a desire to be more widely informed. The choice is yours.
  11. I would be happy to read any and all of the links you refer to, less happy to try and find them with no prior knowledge of them. If you wish to educate me it would simpler for you to post the links as you know what and where they are.
  12. The UN has spent billions on the development of Gaza. It would have been good if they had paid attention to where the money was being spent. Extensive tunnel networks like that require specialist materials and equipment; a regular check on the construction expenditure would have shown disproportionate amounts being spent on 'foundations'. There is probably less concrete above ground than below it!
  13. And you are surprised? Have you seen the 'tofu dreg' construction of high-rise buildings?
  14. 45 - the man who said that Presidents should have immunity; and that he would indict Joe Biden when he retakes the White House. Unless of course Joe Biden goes for the option of sending Seal Team 6 to assassinate 45 whose legal team has said that it is ok for a President to do so with immunity.
  15. Dim sum is Chinese cuisine and literally means 'touch the heart'. There are many choices of steamed and fried food and even different regions of China have different specialities for that region. Unless you say where you ate the food the review is not much use to us. Have you ever tried Thai food in UK or USA for example? Quite often nothing like the variety and flavour you get in Thailand, even when the restaurant owners are Thai as they often respond to customer complaints and 'dumb' down their food. I presume the bland hot water you are referring to is the Chinese tea? Again, numerous different types and flavours from the quite earthy 'boh lei' to the fragrant and perfumed 'heung pin'. Chinese tea shops in Singapore Airport have around 100 different types! Proper Dim Sum restaurants do also have a wide variety of desserts.
  16. I'm sure police will address the problem of public transportation service operators drinking on duty and carrying offensive weapons. (making an assumption the weapon was being carried and not picked up from nearby).
  17. Apart from the long metal stick that you can see being held by the police officer in the first picture.
  18. Interesting, but apologies are not necessary. Your generous correction of my grammar is a little misguided, as I was using the exact words that you used in response to Gweiloman at 6:13 p.m. Do try to keep up!
  19. Totally agree - The statistics on the sexual abuse of children are staggering. Some estimates place the incidence as high as 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 6 boys are sexually abused before their 18th birthday (Aust. Institute of Criminology, 1993). And these are only the reported cases. Children who live with a single parent that has a live-in partner are at the highest risk of sexual abuse: they are 20 times more likely to be victims of sexual abuse than children living with both biological parents (Sedlack et al, 2010).
  20. I'm thinking - 'Did you post to inform or spew non-essential invective?'
  21. I believe my reference was to believing in a 'God' not religion per se. Santa has been linked to various historical figures, many of them pagan. There may indeed be a link to religions, but it is to several. These include the 'mainstream' religions of modern times and the more ancient pagan and nature beliefs of longer ago.
