This is not the ULED Modell, careful. 65M7030UW................http://www.hisense.co.th/products/tvs/65-uhd-smart-m7030.html
Also cheaper Hisense are quite good, I looked at them. But the ULED Series 7, new 2018 now in TH
IMO is fantastic. Super easy Remote with great picture & Sound. Check out at Power-Buy and then do price
search on https://www.priceza.com/ & Lazada.

Helping a friend to find some materials for his house. We are aware of most sources, also online. He is looking to find a real life sample of a well done Red Brick Wall in industrial style to show his contractor around Pattaya. The ones around in mall shops, restaurants etc. look mostly fake or are fake. Anybody knows about a sample of a job well done, where we could have a look.
Also looking for natural stone as on picture number 2.
Been up and down Shukumvit without much luck.
Thanks much for any pointers. MS>

I have a subscription to Which? in the UK and their tests don't come out well, under a 50% satisfaction rating on their 42 and 49 inch models - poor contrast and juddery motion seem to be the main problems. The 60 inch model scores higher at 60% but that's well below the 70%+ needed to qualify as a best buy.
I am looking at their TH topmodel. This has done quite well in reviews.

Have used Daikin, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy and Slim. LG. PANASONIC and others. Lately, the last 2 years, I have switched to Central Air. Inverter and Non-Inverter. Could not be happier. Modern units. Small and quiet in and out. Don't get dirty as fast as most others. Very affordable... Good features and Zero problems so far. Also impressed with Panasonic, which I use for 4 years in my house. Nice day. MS>

If you drive along Pattaya's main roads and bigger Sois, there must be an average of every third shop closed and a huge number of what seem shut down, neglected shop houses. But there are ever more taxi and tour selling make shift shops on sidewalks. Food stands, coffee stands etc. How they all make a living is beyond me. It looks real messy. Thai business friends mostly complain badly. MS>

Hisense seems to be a Chinese brand to be reckoned with. Found lots of good info on YouTube. They seem to sell more advanced models in Australia. But will check with Power Buy today. Regards. MS>

Anybody with personal experience? Looking at the 65" ULED. Looks quite good at Power-Buy. But they also got some very good deals on LG's 4 K.
HS seems to be quite popular in Australia??? THX. MS

Anybody knows about a prof. setup, preferably a bank, that rents safety boxes, to store some important documents during a stay out of the country?
Happy to rent long-term. THX. MS>

Hi
A friend is looking for a recommendation for a dog-hotel, where he could leave his young bull-terrier while he has to fly home for an emergency for some weeks.
He would like the dog, now 5 months old, getting some basic obedience training during his stay. Preferably Pattaya area, but willing to travel.
Thanks. MS>

Hundreds of "little & big" factors, i.e.like this Thai-environmental-disrespect" adding up to fewer and fewer quality Western tourist, a void which seems to be more filled with Chinese & Indians, whose countries are in even worse conditions and they happily enjoy their swim in Pattaya bay.....Still so much better than the polluted rivers in China or the Ganges in India. They don't care about pollution, smoking cars & buses, trash on very corner, the smell of sewage. They happily have every little item triple-wrapped at 7/11...................................................................Thailand-Paradise gone.....Wake up! It would have to start with education at home and we certainly will not see any changes for the better....MS>

I need to find a small portable compressed air bottle / tank, where I can store compressed air with my compressor. Needs to be light and portable. Maybe 1/2 or 1/3 size of a regular dive tank. Any feedback much appreciated. MS>

A prof. outfit / contractor will charge from 1'200 - 2'500. Door needs to come off and be prepared, sanded and varnished. Fair enough 2'000.--
Prices here have a wide range. O.c. their handyman could do for next to nothing, but he is on a salary, too. MS>

+ 1 Glue-board, the square ones are best, cheap, fast and effective. Put out a bunch of them along!!! walls corners etc. Rats & mice usually go along walls. Not pleasant to collect the other day, but very quick. Don't touch the glue or get on your shirts....Messy....
Good luck. MS>

Change of heart @moonseeker ?
The big issue with any of these treatments is simply that, once it's on, it's on for good. It's very difficult to find leaks and even more difficult to fix them.
The jury is still out on whether insulting under the tiles is better than insulating on top of the ceiling and ventilating the attic space, we have attic ventilation with insulating batts on the ceilings.
Will probably do foam and Shera ceiling. Annoying to have leaks in a new home. Cost seems to be pretty uniform and Marc came across a really nice contractor even so he is out of town and I might get a slightly better deal locally. Thx. and regards. MS

I am talking about this......http://www.sprayfoamthailand.com/ Not insulation panels or such.
Marc, so far seem the nicest contact I had and his price is in line with others, also does Marc talk about 2-inch, others offer less thickness.
Will have to decide soon, as construction moving....MS>

I don't drink so can not judge any type of alcohol quality or taste. It all is vinegar for me. It seems that Montclair and similar is sold in many places and obviously people drink it. How would you describe the difference between a grape only wine? If it is as bad as many say, why is is consumed in such amounts and such a big deal that prices went up? Is it also popular in other countries? Just curious... MS>
