Diagnosing this problem properly can be involved as could be anything from Neuropathy, various kinds of Arthritic or Rheumatic problems, Circulation etc. There are some excellent Orthopedics in BPH or in BKK General in BKK. But even those might have to consult abd or run extra tests if the diagnosis is not plein obvious. I consider myself quite medically savvy, but have learned to be careful with self diagnosis and or treatment. The internet still does not make us Dr.s and replace years of studies and experience. Might wanna write to SHERRYL for a recommendation, she knows most good specialists and is very helpful. Good luck and pain-free weekend. MS>

The "not-so-news" supposedly is: If on retirement-extension no need to re-register every time after travelling in Pattaya, unless your address has changed. This is what I and several friends have been told, after going there within 24 hours after any local or international trip. However this seems to be dependant on the immigration office. Phuket, we can read, still asks for re-registering the TM-30 after every short leave from the island. Or at least that was the last we heard. Anyway, immigration office is now less crowded and officers are fast & friendly. Did my retirement in 3 min. in/out. Good night. MS>

Any Recommendations? I am getting almost identical quotations from Pattaya and BKK companies from 580 to 600 per sqm, with varying thickness and explanations. 2 inch or 1 inch must make some kind of difference? If not in insulation effectiveness than at least I would expect a lower sqm price? Any feedback appreciated. MS>

It is not all that complicated to do.
If you are attending a language school that is considered a informal school your extensions of stay will be only be for 90 day which means your family's extensions would also only be for 90 day each time.
Your family members will need to leave the country to get single entry non-o visas to apply for the extensions. They could get the non-o visa at the same you get your non-ed visas.
If your 4 and 6 year old children will be attending school they could get a non-ed visa and extensions of stay of their own.
You will need your marriage certificate and the children's birth certificates legalized before applying for the extensions.
Dear Joe
Thank you.
Is there any 1 yr. schools, which could get my friend an 1 yr. extension. He is school project manager and builds up schools in 3rd. world countries, also a licensed college teacher. He wants to be fluent in Thai, so would need more than 3 months. His plan is taking over father Thai business in 1 yr. and need to bridge that period. Sorry for the questions, I know you are the expert.
BTW, at the moment they are homeschooling their already multilingual kids....Thank you very much. MS>

Europeans, father 33 yrs. old, wife 32 yrs., 3 kids 2/4/6 yrs. All on tourist status, not expired. Have already investment in TH business and the father of the father is running business with WP. Son-father wants learn TH language before starting work actively with WP for 1 yr. etc. etc.
How would the proper procedure be to get legal ED status for all family? Should a visa-agent be involved? Thank you kindly for advise. MS>

Well done. Takes courage, which few have these days in Pattaya. Typical TH situation and police hardly intervenes ever. I remember the exact same situation on Second Rd. many years back. Nobody moved to help the girl being kicked on the ground outside her massage place. I stepped
in and grabbed the slimy little bastard. Opppsssss...Not a second later I got grabbed and pushed aside with firm grip and 4 huge black dressed
Swat guys in a blacked out van, that were stuck in traffic right next to us, gave the bastard a bit of his own medicine, before they cuffed him and threw him in the van. Quite a show. But appalling how hardly anybody helps in most emergency cases. So much better in the Western world.

Sorry, big fingers on small phone....:-) 280 Baht at old rate or 460 Baht at new rate. Why the Pattaya Forum produces the most unasked- for-answers or feedback of any of the TV forums, BTW??
Certainly a restaurant can hardly sell a product that costs him close to 70 Baht at 90 Baht??? Just in case anybody has some prices to compare thank you. MS>
