  1. Done my 3 months money in account this morning. Incl. 90 day reporting total 5 min.

No number needed this morning for showing bankbook at 1 yr ext. counter. Fixed deposit, updated this morning. Needed... The reminder they give you at extension day, signed once more. Main page bankbook, updated page amount, main page passport, ext. page. The friendly lady took all, handed back the bankbook and told me. All finished. Thank you.

Easy, fast, efficient. Jomtien must be one of the best offices. MS>

  2. My 90 days coincides with the date to show proof of having 800 K in the bank after 3 months.

    90 days procedure is clear....THX.

800 K procedure, anybody who has done it already in Jomtien? Details?

    I assume:

    - Update book again on the same day.

    - Copy book main and showing 800 K page, fixed deposit.

    - Copy main page passport and retirement ext. page?

Anybody can add to this? Do we get a receipt for having been

there in time to show the proof of funds?

Thanks and you all have  a great evening.     MS>

Cannabis cures cancer? Obviously not just TH health officials being totally ignorant, but plenty of Westerners alike. Don't know how many links about this miraculous cancer

cure I have been sent by "good-meaning" people to help save me from what is coming...The internet is a breeding ground for fake cancer cures and scams and it can become pretty annoying being confronted with all the "Instant-Dr.s" & their deep knowledge of how to cure cancer on the fast & cheap and all the ridiculous conspiracy theories involving big pharma. I am alive into year 5 of stage IV cancer  thanks to real Dr.'s and big pharma. Wait until it hits you and you will cure yourself with baking-soda, herbal teas, microwaves & laser-beams or just holy water. Ridiculous and ignorant. Many thousands of dedicated & highly adulated people are working on cancer-cures & treatment 24/7 and have some limited  success. Read up on proper sites and get a first idea how complex and complicated this subject is, before spreading more rubbish.   MS>

  5. Had a friend in the same situation. The arguments went on for a long-time. At the end some cash to the "bg."-mother and she handed over the daughter, don't know all details, but family court or such signed off on it and the girl lives in Europe with her father. Mother back in the bar.  But definitely get a good lawyer involved, I prefer local lawyers, where the case is taking place, as they know the relevant local authorities. MS>

  6. Support her dream and see what comes out of it and your personal relationship. You are young and will get over it, when it does not work out.

You can follow her to the US, even with "little" money. You might make it big there. I left for the US from Europe with 28 and the only regret I have, is not having stayed

there and ending up in TH. Made it in both places, but am missing the American way very much. Best of luck to both of you.  MS>

That is only your opinion and some immigration offices and officers. Others state it is only needed if you change addresses which in my opinion is correct.

The only reason temporary permission to stay is mentioned in the section 38 is because it only applies to those with one it does not mean anything more than that.

Section 38 only states the report is needed when arriving at the residence. If you never move from the residence another report should not be needed.

You only mentioned leaving and reentering the country. What about the other offices that are wrongly stating a new one is needed if you stay at a hotel and such.

Jomtien told me clearly 9 months ago. No need come back unless adress changes as long as you are on retirement extension. Have not read anything to the contrary yet. MS>

Hi I see a few people twitchy or not understanding the rules. (Including me).

So if like me and  in Thailand on a Retirement Visa, own my own condo ( Same one for 6 years) go back to UK typ 3 times per year for 10-20 days each time (Savarnabhumi to Heathrow..direct). Will I be fined on 90 day reports for either:-

    1) Not doing a TM30 just after each re-entry...or..

    2) Staying in a 4-5 star hotel at any point ( Say for 4 nights) in Thailand?

So far never been fined/questioned during my 90 day reports at JOMTIEN. Never done a TM30 as far as I can remember. I have house blue book which I supply copy's of each time I do new retirement visa + 800k + updated bank book+ bank letter btw....that's it...again no problems here either.

Answers from people please who have EXPERIENCE (either way)  with a similar situation to mine. ..thanks

More interested in experience at Jomtien more than what the rules actually state.

I was told very friendly at my 3rd. showing in Jomtien office for TM30 in 2 months after short trips to BKK. You only need to come and report again, when you change your address, as you are on retirement extension. That was more than a year ago and never any issues. Regards. MS>
