Microsleep again! Thai driver on way home does this to his van
Lazybones replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
That happened to me in a taxi from Bangkok to Phetchabun, 370km. After skulling 4 red bulls, the driver said he couldn't drive and I drove from Sara Buri to home, about 280km. -
90 Day reporting online perseverance
Lazybones replied to kidneyw's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I did two reports on line and got a 'summission registered' message or words to that effect. For my third report I decided to go to the immigration office only to be told that the first two online attempts had not been recorded and was stung bt4,000 for not registering so be careful. -

Understanding Immigration Question
Lazybones replied to problemfarang's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Went to immigration last week to get requirements for non o extension based on marriage. Given two forms, English and Thai. The English one made no mention of the bank statement and manager letter requirements but the Thai did. Both clearly stated the other requirements including photos required. I followed the Thai listed requirements, went yesterday to immigration for the extension and they were very helpful. I think it depends on the particular office, in this case, Phetchabun. The lady took copies of the photos that she wanted directly from my phone. They are very concerned that everything is done properly before submitting it to Chiang Mai for approval. Mind you the wrist gets sore from all the signing! -
When I applied to return to Thailand last year there was a company mentioned on the forum that provided insurance only for covid 19. Can anyone tell me if this is still available and the company's name please?

When I queried this with my hotel they said that the arrival day is day 0. So the 5th day test occurs in day 4. Go figure.

Thai Pass quandary
Lazybones replied to Will B Good's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I am arriving on 4th Dec and did the same. I booked the 7 day quarantine. I queried my hotel and they offered me either day 1 only, days 1 and 5, or all 5 days, which was, surprisingly, their recommendation so I 'could enjoy the sites and benefits of Bangkok' (and catch covid while doing so!). As I live 380km away with no AQ facility in site I'm going to go home and get tested PCR at the local hospital on day 5 and send the results to the consular. Stupid requirements for day 5 yes? -

Sorry mate. I looked for it but couldn't find it. Maybe seniors moment. There was an American from Loei saying he was after it but couldn't get it. Could be what I saw. Cheers

You need to look through the Asian now post as that is where I saw it. About 2 weeks ago and I think it was through expatvax.
