If this is true then it's a scandal. 5000 CAD is 133k baht. Suddenly upping the requirement to 7000 CAD on a whim is suspicious, much like this post. Can you post some pictures to show where you are being held?
Up to you me i was scare they take my money for any f&?%$$ reason.........

Have you read the terms? No protection whatsoever like with real credit card.
How do you top up the card? Is it cash only?
I have a mastercard from my own country which gives me all protection plus 4.5% cash back on all foreign currency purchases.
Yes i read it but i want feedback not questions........

No one here have tried that card ?

In Canada the honorary consulates can still issue a non-o visa for being 50 or over. The embassy in DC took that away from them in the states a few years.
Ubonjoe you're right for the issue, but they do ask for the RCMP clearance...

I suggest you get the pardon, you don't know the future requirement can change and Thailand is good for that...

The problem is a hotel will file a new TM30 notifying he's in Bangkok.
The question is, does his local IO require a new TM30 when returning.
Under the current climate, I'd suggest he's safer to refile when arriving home.
What if he go for dinner time and come back early morning so let's say 14 hours, and he can prove it with ?...

When i open the account the teller ask me how much I want per day,I said the maximum but I don't know how much it is,but when I go to the atm I always withdraw 20k baths...

Interesting subject in Canada my Thai wife will be eligible to receive 3 pensions even if she never work;
1-My retirement job when i die she will receive 70%
2-Provincial pension when she hit 60 y.o plus 50% of mine when i die
3-Canada pension plan when she 65 y.o
Because i'm married in Canada it's the opposite i receive more money for my pension....

No one mentioned Pattaya nice beach and clean ocean water, katoys aggressions, taxi with no meter, restaurants that overbilling, nice big green parks....and the kindness of Thai drivers when you cross the street ???? I've been to Pattaya one time and it was enough for me,but I can understand single men that are going but even if I was single I would go somewhere else.....

After she accepted and she come to Canada, first thing you do is get a SSN and medical service card of your province, then the year after you could put her on your tax...
-
If she never been to Canada i don't think so,because she don't have a SSN.....

Thx for the info. Yes, she has a business in Bangkok so hopefully that would be enough to convince.
Kind regards
Ed
She need to show that she have to come back for her business, and if she own a house or a condo it's even better, and take all the paper to show that she have a good living in Thailand...

A re-entry permit is until the permit to stay it issued for ends. For example if you apply for a one year extension of stay a re-entry permit would be valid to the it ends. A single re-entry permit would no longer be valid for entry after it is used. A multiple re-entry allows ulimit entries up to the date it expires.
Unless you plan a on traveling during the year your extension of stay (it is not a visa) it is valid you do not need one.
I assume you are not applying for a multiple entry visa at a embassy or consulate since you do not need a re-entry permit for it since it allows unlimited entries up to the date it expires.
Thanks Ubon for your answer but let me clear my situation....
This year is different because my brother coming to visit me and we will go travel together.....Usually i stay in Thailand five months i do one 90 days report,so evey year i go make a new married visa in Canada,so my question is if i make a re-entry permit and i come back before my visa is finnish i don't need to pay for the visa in Canada?
-
How long the re-entry permit is effective?
Example i go in Los the first december with a married visa i get out 10 january for a trip to Taiwan come back 3 weeks later around first february, then go back to Canada after songkran 20 april..... i guess i need to come back before the first december of the following year to continue on the same visa?
I've nerver ask for a re-entry permit before,i renew my visa every year so i guess i paid for nothing am i right?
