Quote 'city police will face transfer for negligence of duty, he said' - this is the problem in the Land of Smiles - there is no deterrent in the form of punishment of Police for neglect of duty nor worthwhile deterrent for law breakers. Inactive posts appear to be positions in the RTP as very few take any action of consequence. Having said that, I live here of my own volition and accept that Thailand is different; why should I criticise a country where I pay no taxes, have no mandate and enjoy the climate, the food and the relative peace.

So the 7% we all pay is really not a Tax ??

    Transgender thing?

Ain't going nowhere any time soon, honey bun.

Sheboy, shegirl, transgender, what ever, time to wake up it's the 21st century. People change, evolve with them and lose the attitude, Purrrrr.

I am too ole  and brought up in almost another Century to allow a small percentage of the population dictate what I have to like !! I do however tolerate and allow a higher authority to judge.

This post was about the errors of an educational institution and not a opening for discussions on sexual preferences or moral issues.

  3. Some of the post are right, the problem with the mini vans are the drivers more than anything else. Yes, minimum equipment is required. But, that will not fix, speeding, reckless driving, alcohol, habanero an extreme impatience as well as "The get the hell out my way attitude" !!

I think no notice check rides by undercover authorities might help, as well as a "Hot line to report speeding and reckless driving".

As always with Thai officials,  all talk no do. Always has been and always will be until the public are empowered to vote for those who care enough about their people and country rather than their own pockets.

And that is not going to happen anytime soon with the regime's focus of reverting to the feudal system of undemocratic governance coupled with, and this is the biggest problem,  ensuring that Thai children receive a woefully depleted educational curriculum more geared to brainwashing than educational enlightenment.

I have been here 13 years and have not seen good results in the election, only more of the same corruption, sometimes new faces, same ole corruption.

    Good luck next time !!!!!

  5. The Criminal Code in most Countries does not include, in Assault and/or Battery Code, any word relieving a spouse or ex-spouse from prosecution.

The ex had no right to take on someone defending his ex wife, except to defend him self.

Having said all that, don;t get in if you are fit and prepared to defend yourself, if he comes at you with a knife a Bar Stool or Chair will usually equalize some what !!

  6. When I was 12 I received a 22 Caliber Single shot rifle and was taught by my Grandfather to you it. In the military I was trained on many small arms weapons.

To date I have not killed anyone, although there were many in my life time I would love to have dispatched to judgement. I have the self discipline not to unless self defense would require it.

There in lies the problem, too many have neither self discipline or respect for humane life.

Bottom line let the children have their day and it up to the parent to decide, not some media nut who is a liberal mouth piece !!

  7. SOUNDS GOOD TO ME,  China has been a Big Bully for too long, it is time to open a can of "Ass Whip" !!

Really want to hurt them, quit buying their stuff for about 6 months and go back to the table and talk !!

Taiwan should be independent, they pulled themselves up from almost nothing after WWII and Japanese occupation. The Culture and people at totally different from most Mainland people I have done business with.

Mao was glad to get rid of Chiang-Kai-Shek and the KMT in 1950, oh but wait, they are worth a lot now, so they are ours !!

  8. Who do they plan to fight with ??

i wonder how many of the experts posting about aircraft have actually served, flew or maintained a military aircraft?

Me, 26 years, fighter and bomber aircraft maintenance, USAF and the problem with all the engagements since WWII have been screwed with by politicians.

The Pattaya bar busts have always claimed that  the presence of unused condoms is proof of prostitution taking place. I mean, what else are they going to be used for?

Working in China, we had big issues with Chinese-made dynamite disintegrating when left too long in waterlogged shot holes. So we bought thousands of local condoms, wrapped the charges in them before loading the hole. They were good for at least 24-hours.

Unfortunately, the Chief Driller forgot to empty his bag properly before flying back to Oz to see his wife on R&R. The fact that the condoms she found were cavernous enough for the average schlong made his claims'Honest Narelle, they're for me job' a real hard sell.

    Water Bombs !!

I'm trying to say, that Taiwan is getting a huge benefit from Beijing, by being allowed to export to China with minimal taxes. At the same time, there's people in Taiwan who want to anger Beijing by talking about an eventual declaration of independance.

If Taiwan carries on hinting and implying moves for independance, well, they should realise that such actions will probably cause Beijing to remove this huge benefit. For myself, I'ill have a smirk on my face if this benefit is removed, which will cripple Taiwan's economy.
China should be allowed to impose taxes on all goods from all countries if Beijing wants to. Consistency demands taxes on Taiwanese goods, IF Taiwan really does reckon it's not part of the Peoples' Republic of China.

Well, do you know what percent of Taiwan's GDP is based on exports to Mainland China ?

I have read about the "Ole Common Law" theory of seven years adverse possession allows ownership to transfer, so maybe Taiwan is already Independent, you know since 1950 when Chiang Kai-Shek moved the KMT to Formosa (Taiwan).

Actually, China took the island by invasion to start with. Before that there were and are Aboriginals, then Portuguese and Dutch invaders too !!

I love the people and culture of Taiwan an believe they should be independent if they want to be !!

  11. I have had this same BS, there should be a published rate for flying and hotels an should remain regardless of supply and demand. Examples, Singapore, I was and had be en this hotel over 35 days on business, a convention came to to wn and they wanted to raise the rate for next five days by $125.00 a day.

SFO a one of my favorite hotel chains, five days at $105.00, then they wanted $195.00 for next three days, moved to another hotel.

The "Ole Stick it to them trick" !

Yes, greed is a World Wide problem !!
