  1. I have been here 13 years and have wanted a 5 or 10 year Visa ever since I went to get the extension the first, what a pain in the rear end every year. Now at 81 I can get one and have a reason to live 5 more years so I can extend again.

I want them to get into the 21Century an get rid of the stupid 90 Report for those who have property/wife's property.

I am retired USAF and they cover my Insurance up to 75%. My Thailand wife's Insurance is 28,000THB a year, plus my USAF covers her too.

Happy Thanksgiving to all the "Yanks" out there !!

  2. Encroachment is epidemic in Thailand, only thing worse is dumping everything they do not want on whoever's property is closest. There must be a million tons of trash, ole signs, junk or whatever everywhere. Even the Klongs are fail game for dumping.

In our neighborhood the owners continue to build stuff out into the street or have plants in the common area and the streets.

They have little or no respect for other peoples rights !!

Hmmm, you take everything the RTP say at face value?  The offside tyres are intact and the car looks level to me.  The other photo in Manager ONline seems to show the nearside rear still inflated as well.

This is typical of the Thai Police who overreact (as unprofessional as they are) and then make up stories to match their version of events (Koh Tao anyone?).

How about a non-lethal takedown?  The car had obviously been rear ended (by the RTP?) and looked to be leaking fluids.  Perhaps they could have been waited out.

I don't believe for a moment anything the BiB, mafia that they are, says in connection with their duties.

Seems pretty simple to me, You shoot at me expect me to return the favor, of course in LOS I do not have my weapons, Damn !!

Currently, about 35 percent of Thai students are enrolled in vocational institutions, and of this group, a large number of graduates were not ready for industry, the study found. This suggested a need to improve the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) education, especially in the face of a cultural bias against the field.

Can't agree more. Our son, studying electronics in one of the superficial "technical colleges" in his third year, knows almost nothing about his field of study. It' s really a shame.

My son is in his Senior Year at. Technical University makes A's in English and can hardly speak the language. I gave up beating over not improving, he will soon have N Electrical Engineer Degrees an can get him to understand the need. Even told him if you do not want to speak English, study a German or Japanese as that is where most of the Electical aequipmet comes from.

i taught English here a little while and find the Thai Students resist speaking English, even though they can write and spell correctly.

Where do you get the 6.5% stat??? Unbelievable. Why do people make such stuff up or repeat it uncritically?? Just consider that the literacy rate in the nation with the most Muslims in the world, Indonesia, is 94%. Pakistan, the next largest, has a 60% literacy rate. Bangladesh is about the same. Egypt is 75%. Starts to look impossible for the rate to be down at 6.5%, doesn't it? Literacy is, in very broad-brush terms, an issue in the Muslim world, but let's not exaggerate/fabricate the stats...

There are several websites you can go to and get stats some Muslim some Non-Muslim. Most report over 800 million out of 1,4 Billion are illiterate.

When you have a culture does not allow Free Will in their lives and denies Woman equal treatment, it is best to keep them semi literate.
