I have been here 13 years and have wanted a 5 or 10 year Visa ever since I went to get the extension the first, what a pain in the rear end every year. Now at 81 I can get one and have a reason to live 5 more years so I can extend again.

I am retired USAF and they cover my Insurance up to 75%. My Thailand wife's Insurance is 28,000THB a year, plus my USAF covers her too.

Encroachment is epidemic in Thailand, only thing worse is dumping everything they do not want on whoever's property is closest. There must be a million tons of trash, ole signs,junk or whatever everywhere. Even the Klongs are fail game for dumping.

In our neighborhood the owners continue to build stuff out into the street or have plants in the common area and the streets.

They have little or no respect for other peoples rights !!

My son is in his Senior Year at. Technical University makes A's in English and can hardly speak the language. I gave up beating over not improving, he will soon have N Electrical Engineer Degrees an can get him to understand the need. Even told him if you do not want to speak English, study a German or Japanese as that is where most of the Electical aequipmet comes from.

i taught English here a little while and find the Thai Students resist speaking English, even though they can write and spell correctly.
