  1. i recently bought a mazda bt50 and im thinking about putting it on 20 inch alloys and semi low profiles (not sure about actual size yet) ive been quoted 40000 baht for a set of four whitch with new tyres seem quite cheap (maxis tyres) what im trying to find out is will it make for a better ride as i have to travel to khon kaen every month so id like to get readers opinions.

  2. i wrote on here before that i had decided to buy a ranger wildtrak but for various reasons i did'nt go ahead with the purchase, ive now bought a mazda bt50 2.2 4 door 2 wheel drive its secondhand 2012 with 38000 klms on the clock, it was more than 300,000 baht cheaper than the new ranger but its in good nick and i think it will do me nicely as we say in yorkshire im fair suited, anyway thank you all for your interest and imput.

  3. i recently went to several new car dealers to trade in my top of the range fiesta sports against a new pick up and the most i was offered was 325000 baht, my fiesta is only 2and a half years old with 30000 klms on the clock, in my opinion this is'nt a very good price at all and i was wondering if anybody else has had similar experiences, by the way still have fiesta if anyone is interested in buying it.

  4. im thinking of buying new pick up and i would like to get as much imput as possible, my new purchase is between a ford ranger 2.2 2wheel drive and a toyota 2.5 2 wheel drive both 4 doors with possible mazda 2.2 virtually the same as the ranger they are all around 800,000 baht. im open to all suggestions and advice. thank in advance for all replies.

  5. when i first came to pattaya many years ago there were'nt any issan girls they mostly came from rayong and i thought (and still do) they were better girls, more trustworthy and not as greedy, alas i forgot myself and married an issan girl (my own fault).

  6. i highly reccomend numchai for new or used bikes and accessories, also about dogs ive never been bitten by a dog in my life, i do a lot of klms every week sometimes dogs bark and chase you a little bit but no worse than that but some people thais and farangs antagonise the dogs by carrying sticks catapults and other weapons dogs are'nt stupid and they see you are armed it makes them aggresive so my advise is to behave normally and they will leave you alone.

  7. im in my 70s and i cycle regularly sometimes as much as 100klms per day dont drink (used to) and dont eat meat and i still find if i have a few days off cycling i put a couple of kilos on, anyway i find you have to work at it to keep healthy and fairly fit.

  9. about 3yrs ago i had my left eye done at pattaya hospital bph because my sight had got too bad for night driving it cost 43000 baht and i can see perfectly now, before the operation i tried other cheaper goverment hospitals but i suffer from white coat syndrome my blood pressure go up when i go to hospitals or a doctor so i could'nt get the op done at a goverment hospital i went to bph and explained to the lady doctor and she said that she understood and i needed to be relaxed before they took my bp anyway they let me relax till my bp was normal then i had the op whitch seemed to go perfectly well and ive had no problems since and my eyesight is very good now. if my bp had been normal i could have got it done cheaper but im now very satisfied with the service i received at bph.
