I have not been to either Palestine or Israel and certainly wouldn't want to go there now. I have no "first-hand knowledge" of any of this conflict. All my knowledge has been accumulated by reading history books and reports on current events.

This is the basis for all the opinions I express here on AseanNow and elsewhere.

then you would know that Israel claim to the land predates Palestine by 1000 years but dont let the truth get in the way of your "opinion", anyone that reads & understands history knows the truth of the matter but then again some ignore the truth to push their own biased BS  to suit their agenda

No, and that is why I was very proactive getting the meter reader back out to my house.

I then had the PEA cable installer visit, then my own in house electrician to re-wire everything only to find the fault was on the PEA pole.

The fault was 99% probably due to sloppy works carried out at the top of the pole by PEA engineers previously,

when we built our new house the pea pole was placed outside our fenceline on the road side with the meter then the pea had to place a pole near our house  and set the power line to it as well, our electrician then wired everything from that pole, we had to pay the pea extra for them to do this as well as for the poles to our land. If your house is wired from the opposite side of the road to a pole near your house then it is more than likely the pea were the ones that ran the wires to it before the electricians ran wires to your house, in this case it should be a pea problem if they did wire to the pole in front of your house from the other side of the road, doesnt matter where the meter is as they are the ones that did the wiring that is leaking.

  3. big difference between Israel and the terrorists is that idf isnt hiding behind the civillian population while attacking anyone, these terrorists are basically cowards, they try to avoid being injured/killed by attacking  unarmed civillians then proclaiming how great they are to kill children, women and old people. The when the idf goes after them they hide behind non combatants while shooting  at the idf, then they claim the idf is killing the civillians that they are using as shields when returning fire, maybe if these gutless terrorists actually fought without using their own people as shields there would be a lot less deaths but they refuse to do so, instead they use schools & hospitals as their bases, the money sent by the rest of the world that is supposed to be used for their people is instead used to make their tunnels and buy weapons. The land has always been Israels for centuries as well so trying to claim it as theirs has been showe time & again as being total BS. The problem is based on their own religious beliefs that promotes exactly what they are doing, raping and killing, while I may not like the idea of so many dying it falls directly at the terrorists feet, if they were "real" men they would not be acting as cowardly as they are, these people are beneath contempt and I hope hamas is totally destroyed along with the other muslim terrorsit groups that use any possible reason to rape and kill  so they can get their jollies and show everyone how big they think their appendage is, "look mum & dad, I killed these unarmed  women & children after rapiong them, arent I great"

  4. around the top of internal walls where they meet the grprock/dry wall ceilings you will generally get cracks appear because the plaster mix they use to fill the gap between the wall and ceiling dries  hard so will naturally crack with heat expansion. Also as most of the ones that do the filling overlap down the wall a bit the cracks can be slightly lower than the actual corners in places, using an acrylic filler with these cracks is better as it can expand & contract where the hard plaster cannot, remove this overlap plaster by running  the edge of a blade in the corner all the way along the wall/ceiling join then fill with an acrylic filler.

I have recently had a fairly sizeable order of frozen foods delivered.

By sheer chance, I happened to be in the lobby when the condo manager was still working, and she told me there was a package for me.

Otherwise, the goods would have thawed out overnight.

I had no contact from the delivery company that day, or on any other day.

I have pointed out to the supplier their delivery company could be costing them repeat business.

I have lost 2 frozen deliveries, one was  just left on top of my gate post in the middle of the day, no call or anything and we were away from the house, by the time we got home it was thawed. The other took them 5 days to deliver(they had sent it to a totaly different area and it sat there for a couple of days) and when it arrived it was in the back of a normal delivery truck, appears  the companies/drivers just do what ever they please

  6. I have been chasing star pickets for over 10 years in Thailand, the best way to get them I have found is to have them imported from Australia as I am unable to find any thai suppliers, I want them for fencing as well as to support trees  so a couple of different heights are required. I have found a business that will import them (Bunnasia) as well as a supplier in Australia but it does run up costs, a thai supplier would be better if I could find one and a star picket driver is necessary.

Looks like it was a pricing error.

    Oops! We Made A Mistake…

Hey there, friends! We've got some news to share with our amazing Thailand customers. We're always striving to do our best, but sometimes, we admit, we can make mistakes. And boy, did we have a little hiccup with the preorder prices of our famous dim sims and Chiko rolls on our website for our Thailand based customers.

We want to be completely transparent with you all because we value your trust in us. Due to a glitch, the prices displayed were higher than what they should have been. Yikes! 😱 But here's the good news: we have already fixed the issue and you can now find the correct, lower prices on Bunnasia.com.

To all the wonderful Thailand based customers who have already placed orders with the incorrect prices, please accept our sincerest apologies. We're truly sorry for any inconvenience caused. But fear not, because we are committed to making things right for you.

In the next couple of days, we will be reaching out to you personally to rectify the situation. We want to ensure that you are completely happy with your order and that you receive the best price possible. We truly appreciate your support and want to make sure you feel valued as part of our Bunnasia family.

So hang tight, folks! We're on it and will make sure everything is sorted out for you. Thank you for your understanding, your loyalty, and for giving us the chance to fix our little oopsie!

Stay fabulous and keep on enjoying the deliciousness of Bunnasia.

They only dropped the price 95 baht to 1115 baht, 315 baht more than 2 months ago and only after I had a go at them.

  8. Two months ago I bought frozen dim sims(an aussie favourite) at 800 baht( around$34) for 30, they sold out in just a couple of days, yesterday I got an email from the importer saying they had another shipment coming in shortly and we can pre order to make sure we get what we want so I went in to do so.

Problem is they have upped the price almost 60% in the last 2 months with the same bags now costing 1250 baht(around $54), they have not had a price rise in Australia, in Australia they currently cost $9.50 from their supplier(Coles, a couple of dollars more from other sellers) so even paying $34 last time was high but to raise the current price to just over $54 for them is a real stretch.

I realize that for someone to import frozen food from Australia it does require them to raise prices but to raise them so much in just 2 months is very suspect especially knowing that aussie expats will try to get their favourite food and pay a bit more for it to do so.  I have been using this business for around 12 months and liked what they did but after this I will no longer support them, I understand the required profit margins needed to import but to push them up this much in 2 months is way over the top

  9. have been  hit on the head a few times over the years, you can either watch your feet so you dont go down open drains or fall over over broken/missing sections or watch out for head high signs and I am under 6' tall so they are low. The fact that footpaths are not taken care of or maintained doesnt help at all nor does the fact they make signage way too low as well as the low hanging wires but doing everything as cheap as possible to make more profit is the real fault as those in charge are more concerned with how much they can pocket by ignoring repairs etc like many other people in Thailand, money is more important than the people.

  10. here we go, another russia collusion  pushed by a  left leaning publication, how dare hotels and buildings accept people paying to stay in/use their facilities, shows how pathetic the dems are trying to make this out as anythng more than the normal business of these buildings(that was ongoing prior to his election) especially when biden & his family have been actually shown to have taken a hell of a lot more for access to biden himself. No surprise this garbage was allowed in here when it is pushed by the dems and their pathetic supporters that are all sh*t scared trump will be the next president, all the crap they are desperately throwing at him is falling down around them. I find US politics one huge laugh as the ones bitching lack the inteliigence to research the truth in most matters and only accept the innuendo from their biased propaganderist news sites/publications, hahahahahahaha, I have had one rusted on dem trying to say that 5 cops were killed during jan 6, they refuse to believe the truth, only what they have been told by other leftist idiots

  11. the problem lies with Australia post, they do not track the package once it arrives in Australia, I send packages there a few times a year and the tracking stops once they leave Suvarnabhumi airport. In Australia the post offices rarely help when you try to find out where they are, I have had them tell the person it has not left Thailand but was delivered the next day, had packages sit in the PO for several weeks, had them moved between several different PO's etc, aussie post has become pathetic and you can only find the package if you are able to get someone in aussie post to actually enter the tracking number and tell you where it it, the problem is solely aussie post as they do not enter the tracking when they arrive in the country, it is a money saver for them to not honour trackng from other countries

I just used my foreign USAA debit card for charge of 1,782 baht at 0941 today with Lazada with completely normal approval process taking several seconds.  My sign in was via Google.  Immediate email receipt.  Are you using Thai card as OP?

yes, Bangkok Bank, still waiting for a reply to my email to them as to what is going on

  13. started happening to me also but only a few days before I was able to order and pay Lazada with the same card. My card is still working  everywhere else just not Lazada so it is obviously a problem with Lazada as I tried buying from 2 different sellers and both failed, had to cancel both, have contacted the bank and waiting for a reply as to why my card is no longer able to work with Lazada but do not expect a reply anytime soon. Will have to try another way to buy as it is treats I get for our dogs and a great quality that the dogs really like.

  14. we were almost in accidents with motorbikes twice yesterday, both times it was an idiot rider that didnt bother to look and almost smashed into us, thing is it happens virtually everytime we are on the road. Unfortunately many thais switch off their thinking when they get in a car or on a bike, for some reason bike riders (and some car drivers) seem to think they can do as they please and road regulations etc do not apply to them, they can go through red lights, turn across the front of you when you are going straight ahead, come around corners without looking, pull out onto the road without checking and allowing young kids to ride bikes and of course ignore stop signs/lines, thai thinking leaves a lot to be desired as does their abilities on ther road

An excellent online reference. Of course, always best to talk to the neighbours first, but if it's a rubber plantation, I don't see any problems in doing it yourself willy nilly.

this is very informative and actually helps with another problem of a neighbour near our other block that built their land up around 50cm higher from  being lower and now floods our land everytime it rains(slowly killing our plumeria/frangipani), by these regs is appears they have to rectify he problem, these regs also appear to show that the over hanging trees can be cut back,

Thanks everyone for your replies it is greatly appreciated, have attached a pic to show what I mean, this is right along a 40 metre fence line as well as palm oil tree fronds along a 40 metre fencline on another block and overhaning several metres as well that drop and break the branches off our trees.
