  1. Has anyone ever gone earlier than the 30 day under consideration date? I booked a couple of nights in hua hin and just realized my checkout date is the date I need to go to immigration. Alternatively, what's the latest you can go to immigration ( nonthaburi) to do this. Closing time is 4.30 but I know for original applications the latest is 3pm. Cheers.
  2. They're changing their pay system by the end of the month because of the thailand paypal situation. I'm getting between 45 to 48 hours a week on it teaching ielts, job interview practice and a little general conversation. All regular students. Once you're up and running and get yourself a good teacher rating, you'll get plenty of students. Pay isn't that good, but for sitting on your <deleted> and talking it's money for nothing.
  3. Cheers, they also said they would be paying us a visit
  4. Is it normal for immigration to require a neighbor come to immigration to confirm your id for first marriage non o. It happened to me yesterday at nonthaburi immigration. I also had to photocopy every single document I gave them, including 2 of the receipt. Is this also normal?
  5. Asking questions at Nonthaburi Immigration too. Asked me for exact reasons for not being able to travel, and after some debate with 4 junior officers I asked to speak to their boss, who proceeded to tell me it was his boss requesting this information. He pretty much told me I'd have to leave after this one, although I need to go back in 2 weeks for the decision. Luckily I now have enough money for the marriage visa, just need that extra time in my account. But yes, Asking questions everywhere it seems.
  6. Does this mean for example, we could in theory go to Malaysia from Thailand and get a marriage mult entry visa, and not have to stay there for 21 days, and come back here with just 1 nights quarantine? Am I understanding it correctly? Not sure of Malaysian quarantine procedures though.
  7. I sometimes find myself flabbergasted with the sheer lack of sympathy and empathy shown on here by some members. We haven't all been blessed with good fortune or bestowed with untold wealth, so some of us have to do this kind of work. Regardless, for some of you more comfortably off, it seems that anytime a misfortune or difficult situation occurs you simply can't wait to throw in a knife and give a twist. For some it seems, even our tax and immigration status also seems of interest. There are some academics, Sam Harris, Lawrence Krauss, Richard Dawkins for example, who refer to free speech as not being the entitlement of everyone, if what the person says is utter garbage. I used to disagree, but I think my mind is slowly changing on this. Seriously though, get off your high horses and give some thought to others less fortunate than yourselves.
