Funnily enough I never get the morning afterburner with Thai food even if it's way hotter than Indian curries. I guess it's due to the use of fresh chillies.

That's correct scea, works a treat, top and tails them, crush with the knife or wooden statula (or even your hand if it's a big clove) and easy peasy, skin all comes off. You can then chop it if required.

I must say though, I always have a jar of 'lazy garlic' for emergencies. Can you get lazy garlic in Thailand?

I told him i thought it was a Suicidal idea but he wouldn't listen, i rememberbered his face ever since..

You're right, he did set up a PI company but agreed that it was suicidal and gave it up aout 5 years ago. Since then he did TEFL and about 3 years ago open Sloneys. As for seeing him in Chaweng, I heard he was now in Cambodia. Don't know if this is true though...

I just went into the bank and asked 'may I open an account?' and they said yes. Bank Ayudha is the one I went to cos it was nearest to where I lived. They gave me an account and a ATM card right away.

I actually voted Italian as I could not do without it - my red pasta dishes are my favourite! However, it's a tough poll as I couldn't live without Thai food. My diet is equally spread between Italian and Thai with an occasional 'meat and 3 veg'.
