  1. I will be back in Thailand Tuesday. I will enter Visa Exempt.

Have they been asking to see 20,000 THB and the proof of a flight out? I can have USD easy. It's just the airport exchange rates sucks.

Also, I plan to extend for thirty days. That will put me out of the country. Can I just make a run to the Trat land border and reenter Visa Exempt? I will need about 21 more days after my 60 days is up.

  2. Great advice guys. That's what I was wondering exactly. So I went to YouTube and just likeKevc said. I give it the royal treatment. I separated the case and give the buttons and case a soapy. I cleaned the circuit board with a rubber gently in an up and down fashion. It works like a new one.

I would have bought the factory original also if I had to. Thanks Topt.

Anyone that know's the procedure with the soapies and the rubbers would be a hero in most bars. I couldn't help notice the remote in a bar this afternoon was disgusting.

            Thanks Everyone.

    but 6130 baht??? (whew)...

but now that I've seen it available I won't be able to sleep until I have one...absolutely perfect fer a lot of things that I make...and a perfect griddle fer my flatbread...

and I am retired on a small pension and I have a broken leg!...a curse upon those who provoked me to investigate this item...

btw...ye gots to consider that the heat inertia for cast iron is a lot greater than for the heavy bottomed aluminum saute pan that I presently use and would not respond as quickly to a desired cooking temperature adjustment...and the aluminum pan has a 'cool' handle...

    but who cares...

Lodge is the #1 brand of cast iron cookware in America. In the US this pan would cost about 1,000THB.

  4. Having had various types over the years, my personal recommendation would be to use the Gas for just the burners.

If you want a decent oven use the Microwave size/design type that sit on the work service, more energy efficient as heating a smaller space.

Capable of handling most domestic size items and generally easier to use being at a higher operating level, easier to clean etc.

I also found these to be more accurate in terms of temperature etc.

Only my opinion based on my experience.

  5. I doubt that picture is untouched.

From that image's website source: This has been photoshopped, no doubt, but it gives an idea

I thought it may have something to do with the reference made to the American Bison. Bison can stand 6 foot tall and weigh 2000 lbs.

  6. We had about an hours rain in Jomtien this morning. It is still overcast so maybe some more later. Great comments so far. I think normal rain may return soon. Good Luck up North. I have heard they need it.

  7. Maybe.....it just seems hotter...for longer. The other day it got down to about 33 degrees here and it felt like heavan!

Sorry! I didn't realise you were just looking for a chat & forgive me for providing a link which answered your question laugh.png

(recorded 51 last week here, but only 10% humidity, in the shade, 48 & 30% humidity today, not even summer yet, can we switch places?)

Sounds like you might be in Bagdad?

  8. It's raining in Ubon and a decent chance of rain all this week! Please tell me that's a sign of things to come in Jomtien?????

So 31 degrees is too hot for you (temp in Jomtein). ....then you're definitely in the wrong place!blink.png

Stay inside and turn on your air condition cheesy.gifcoffee1.gif

Shove it! We are just trying to have a good time here.
