9th floor shells probably sold for less than 2MB back then so you are likely ahead of the game.
Not mine. The owner bought 7 or 8 years ago and fitted the room with individual contractors. It turned out nice.
Also I can see the ship channel. Nice view.

So, no list. Apparently no 5 year old condo dumps are being bulldozed. Whew!
Ha Ha! When I came in this time 4 weeks ago I noticed there was two lights out in my hallway outside my room. I thought maybe it(VT5C) was starting to slide on maintenance. Two days later the lights were replaced as usual. lol! No bulldozers today.

I think there might be some low floor shells still available at 5C and possibly even some high floor shells at the back of 5D. I think foreign quota is gone at both. When we bought around 4 or 5 years ago the studio 48sqm shells were around 2.1 or 2.2MB in foreign name. Not sure what they are going for now. Sales office is right across the street.
Yea New. My room is for sale right now. 9th Floor facing Pattaya. Really nice inside. 2.5m THB. So if it cost you Less than $10,000 for finish your condo you are probably at even money if you sell. Not bad during the "Collaspe" of condo values. lol!

Nice to read a good outcome. I think some big Bangkok public construction companies such as Lumpini and Sansiri do a pretty good job of managing their condos. When you're dealing with a small, private developer and, possibly, unsold units the developer controls, you can get a situation like you had with the developer calling all the shots. Great the residents got organized and took control.
Veiw Talay has done well in Jomtien. Light Bulbs that go out in the hallway are relaced within a day or two. Pool is well maintained, etc. Good management can happen.

FWIW. I bought an Omron meter in Thailand. The company is from Japan. It really matches up with the Drs. meter in the US and Thailand.

this is one of the nicest ones I've seen
http://www.lazada.co.th/lodge-l12sk3-pre-seasoned-cast-iron-skillet-25-inch-intl-8056439.html
but 6130 baht??? (whew)...
but now that I've seen it available I won't be able to sleep until I have one...absolutely perfect fer a lot of things that I make...and a perfect griddle fer my flatbread...
and I am retired on a small pension and I have a broken leg!...a curse upon those who provoked me to investigate this item...
btw...ye gots to consider that the heat inertia for cast iron is a lot greater than for the heavy bottomed aluminum saute pan that I presently use and would not respond as quickly to a desired cooking temperature adjustment...and the aluminum pan has a 'cool' handle...
but who cares...
Lodge is the #1 brand of cast iron cookware in America. In the US this pan would cost about 1,000THB.

Maybe so. The side effects are scary.
So far today, I have:
Locked myself out of my condo,
Forgotten my helmet when going out to my scooter, and ( this one I can't believe )
Gone into 7/11 to get Sheryl's recommendation. Walked halfway back to my condo with my shopping in one hand, and an empty 7/11
basket in the other. Our security guy nearly pissed himself laughing when he saw me.
It is no doubt very powerful.

The Gulf of Thailand averages only 80 meters in depth. Unbelieveable.

Pattaya tunnel: Thais fed up of waiting as opening still unannounced

You said it. It's a battle of wills on who is going to finish and pay for the Pedestrian Walkway and the final paving, etc.
What lanes have been paved? I haven't seen any pics showing the tunnel lanes as finished paved.
I will be back to Jomtien in a week or so. Just wondering.
