WHAT
Fluidfusion 27/3 Refused SELF EMPLOYED
TickTock 30/3 Granted but refused at first SELF EMPLOYED
George & Dragon 30/03 Refused 26/06 SELF EMPLOYED
Pingit ????? SELF EMPLOYED
looks like you where all in the same box, If the ECO's are given 32 applications at a time
does it mention the officer on the refusal ??
Chewy ???? SELF EMPLOYED
and all march, I am self employed but just in April pheww! someone has it in for the self employed or clearly doesn't understand the concept of self employed, I wait anticipating the worst,
-
what happened to George & Dragon? we know about Chewy, so I must be next along with mrburb, god I am nervous, reading about Fluidfusion, as made it worse, I am also self employed, changed accountants 2yrs ago and he doesent give me a balance sheet at the end of the year, but he did write a profit and loss sheet detailing sales gross income profit etc.. which was printed on his letterheaded paper he signed a dated them, also have a friend who uses the same accountant did the same thing for him and he got a settlement visa for his Thai wife but that was a year or so ago. anyway I fly out to Thailand on Sunday to wait for the visa, and have already booked the wife on the return leg along with my baby son, so I need the visa before 16th July.
Good luck Fluidfusion & Chewy
-

OMG this is really devastating news, 1st we have a massive high but now an even bigger low, something very wrong here more incompitance from the Embassy, I for one feel for you Tick Tock, I am sure you can turn this round, but again it takes time, it certanley has me worried although I thought I had a water tight application, I have always thought it rather strange we have had no interviews or refusals could this be the start of a growing trend? I hope not
-
I just love this topic, everytime I check it there is at least 5 or more members checking it also 555555555! it doesn't matter what time of day or night either, the offices are closed now and still checking for updates, I think i've lost the plot, anyone else suffer from checksettlementpostiitis

Are you 100% sure about this ?? buying a ticket for your missus in the UK ? I was allways told this was not possible and she had to buy the ticket in Thailand . Have you actually done this ?? or are you assuming this ? I would be keen to know the facts about this . I sent the money over to mine and she booked over there.
I have bought tickets for flights already couldn't resist them, they were cheap, but my wife is still waiting for the visa.
booked through expedia flying from Manchester with Eitihad, 28th June, my flight cost £381.00 return & the wife & baby's £430.00 for a single combined baby to sit on lap, think the itemised bill showed £29.00 for the baby, 2hrs in Abu Dahbi for both flights, fly back 16th July, fingers crossed she gets her visa
so yes 100% you can book from the UK
-
Congratulations to those who have so far had success. I hope the wait isn't too long for the rest in the queue...
Just a quick question: How many waiting here have a joint child (Thai/Brit) who will also travel to the UK if the mother is granted a visa?
Hi Spot, yeah I have a son 50/50 10mnth old now not seen him for 8wks, he has dual passports British/Thai, it really pisses me off that I have not yet been able to bond with my son due to this waiting game we are all enduring,
good luck for today chaps!
congrates K&K you lucky so & so
-
Hi its been 10wks today since my application went in
I have booked my flight back to thailand for the 28th June return back to the UK with the wife & baby son on the 16th July hopefully visa should be granted before then, 16wks should be enough time for us all to wait, anyway the flights were a bargain booked them through Expedia my flight £381.00rtn & the wifes & babys £430.00sng combined, Flying with Eithiad to & from Manchester short stay in Abu Dhabi 2hrs excellent if it all comes off
Hope I get an answer before I fly out on the 28th June then I can have a family holiday with no stress
(RTD 14/6) can someone update me on the list please
Good luck everyone above me on the list I now feel I have no right to get my visa before any of you or before the 12wk timescale, after that I am going to get angrey-er

You pay £500+ & a 10 week wait to be shafted with incompetent staff, it's just amazing things like this can happen, but this is Thailand, "Mai pen rai" our lives are in their hands , if it happened to me I'd kick someones door off it's hinges, Brandx good luck mate think you should be able to turn this round as a misscaraige seems to have taken place here, hope its is obvious to the people you have to deal with, keep us posted
