^^ Do none of you read the actual posts ??. Equalizer was referring to a guy who accidentally walked into the wrong home ( albeit whilst drunk) and ate ice cream. NOT the security guard who assaulted the woman. Try and read the posts next time before asserting your stupid opinions.

I have seen them twice and they are pretty good, although my favourite Thai band has to be Slur ( Indie band from BKK, first saw them in Germany). I guess their music just relates to the ol punk rocker in me more than Carabou

Why would I leave when I can sit at home with a crate of Chang and a constant supply of movies ?

A quick Google showed plenty of instructional videos, if that helps.

If my missus saw me being chatted up by a ladyboy, she would be far too busy laughing to cause an argument.

Well, for your sake, let's hope that the local Police or your village elder doesn't read TVF. There's an admission of guilt right there " Ive killed a dog", Maybe that should read, "I've been accused of killing a dog". Otherwise, you have just admitted your guilt on a popular, Thailand internet forum,,,,,,,really smart move.

Sorry folks, had to add to the original OP
Yes, my Thai wife makes "stinky" food also. ( Are you stupid), This is the PERFECT time that we Farangs can go to the bar, until the smell clears, Mai Pen Rai

I can't advise on Stocks or Bonds, but i paid into the NI for 35 years. I'm from the UK). It means nothing !!!. I worked for the UK ( Government) and now I'm retired ( well, that's another Joke/Story. According to the UK government, my pension is "delayed" somewhere in-between Limbo and buried, under another file, in a dimensional timewarp, caused by the Tardis( Don't ask lol )). Good planning for your future though, you seem like a smart fella, I wish you luck

I came here after hearing all the horror stories from the guys in my local (UK) bars. I found it almost the complete opposite and instantly loved it here. I know that they came here for the bars and girls, so i suppose that their viewpoint was a lot different than the views of Thailand that i experienced. Skip forward ( 12 visits later and i now live here), i still get the same guys messaging me on FB wanting to "catch up" ( Translate as, " they are coming back to Thailand and want somewhere to stay for free, along with a local tour guide")

let me get this straight. You married a Thai lady and took her back to the UK to live with your parents, and now you have lost your job because you had a extended holiday ?. I have to ask, are you even man enough to be wearing long trousers yet,,, i wonder.

Well if you have to count your money when on holiday in reality you shouldn't go. However you could possibly find a way to augment your meager finances!!.
This guy has recently been pictured in the Phillipines, so for a skint, bankrupt, poor beggar, he certainly earns some Air Miles

I would say it's pretty easy to do. When i first worked here i lived on half that ( accomodation was paid for). So i just bought food and cheap whisky ( when i wanted a drink). I occasionally spent less than 500Baht per day. As long as you stay away from bars (and girls) it is possible.
P.S If you are really here for the girls ( and your OP makes me suspect that you are) then maybe 10,000Baht a day is probably nearer the mark, have fun

I did my AIS and True sims on saturday. Just walked into the shop and asked to register. They asked for my passport and i showed them the picture of it on my phone. No problem, takes around 2 minutes.

Went diving a few months ago and saw a bloom of jellyfish that turned out to be around 50 plastic bags. Spent the rest of the dive collecting them

I'm guessing that you have never had a car with a on board computer ( aka , fuel management system) , this will be the problem. Had this myself several times ( last one was a Jaguar) Display reported several faults, engine not idling correctly, air con not working, temp too high after just starting car from cold ETC ( there was none) , Jaguar (UK) replaced the computer, problem solved.
Also had this on a Honda, Merc and a Kawasaki motorcycle.

Cashed several with Krung Thai and BKK Bank, Charged around 150-180 baht , They were US Dollars but issued from a UK bank ( long story lol) but no problem

Floating homes ? In the UK we call them narrowboats and i have several friends who have lived on them for years. I think the designs have already been proven practical over the several hundred years that they have been making them.
Lads go for a pint and end up 7,000 miles away in Thailand

Good for them. The furthest that i ever ended up, after a session, was France. Still, I wouldn't want to be in their shoes when they get home to their wives and girlfirends
