I prefer you to leave me alone. I'm afraid that if i say "Hello" back to you, then you will feel encouraged to regale me of tales of your days in the SAS, SBS, MI5, MI6, Navy Seals, NSA, NASA, FBI.......Ad-Infinitum... ETC

There's no wonder that half of the posters on TVF have problems, it's their attitude. Who cares that the table is an upturned cement bucket, who cares that the champagne is low quality, Having lived in mud huts in an African Jungle, and in Siberia, sometimes these (moments) have to be taken, in the moment, and just because i have a broken old cycle ( instead of my Mercedes) and my whisky is Muhammad Ali( yes really, and comes in small plastic bags) instead of Glennfiddick and my food doesn't come from Asda's Farm Produce department, you just accept it. GET A LIFE,, Coupla Russkies, doing it their way, That's their decision. The article was about them being attacked , and all you TVF members can do is belittle their romantic evening. Hope you are proud of yourselves

"After pushing the button at one of Pattaya's pedestrian controlled panda crossings do not expect it to work."
Same in NYC and most cities in America. It's only there as a "placebo" to give you a feeling of power & control.
If those buttons actually worked in pedestrian-dense Midtown Manhattan, cars would never get a green light...
Back in my Uni days, we were given tthe circuit diagram of what is called ( in the UK) a Pelican crossing. It's a fact, that at certain (busy) times of the day, a timer circuit kicks in and pressing the button only lights up the console ( It absolutely does bugger all else). So, yes, i can confirm that placebo.

8am is when the Thai national anthem ( or whatever it is), is played. Every TV channel and most schools play it.

No insurance, ok error.....it's times like these I would like to see the British government step in and help one of our own for once!
As if that's likely to happen.

You did meet her in the mental department of Hua Hin hospital right ?

Little buggers used to bother me all the time. Now i close the screens at 5pm and (on a friends advice), i shower with Lemon scented soap. I may have the occasional, persistent one now ( which i play tennis with and I always win), but they hardly bother me at all, these days

I had only been living here a few months when i locked myself out. My neighbour came over and opened my door within seconds, using a small, flathead screwdriver. I bought padlocks the same day.

I would have called all my friends from the Norwegian MC club and invited them all for a beer on the beach.

So an unauthorised flight on an unauthorised route and not a single Air Traffic Controller/ Radar, spotted it ?. Sounds like someone is attempting to limit their blame here. On another report i read, the pilot had asked for a change of route, due to adverse weather, and was refused. But as with most tabloids these days, only 1 percent of the story is the truth.

I have the distinct feeling that you folks must bring this abuse on yourselves. My missus's family have stayed with us on several occasions and bring food, cookware, whisky and smokes. They ask for nothing but a floor to sleep on and cartoons on the tv for the kids. they are respectful, clean and share everything that they bring with them, offen being slightly offended when i refuse a tenth whisky or another huge helping of food. A few days later they are gone without trace and i confess that my home feels a little lonelier without all the activity. This only happens a few times a year and brings my missus happiness, a few days of what can hardly be describe as inconvenience is nothing to grumble about.

He was a rapist and a murderer. So he suffered during a botched death sentence,,,,Good. Maybe he felt some of the suffering he caused others. No sympathy.

My 3bb in Hua Hin, goes down around 20 times a day for a few minutes. I've had the engineers out several times but they just say it's a server bottleneck ( it isn't because i can see the signal dropout). 12 hours is a long time though, maybe there's a server being upgraded.

My first ever meal on my first visit to Thailand was a Yam Woon Sen, loved it

Why does Thaivisa show as a top result in your Thai Google search. Even a simpleton would know the answer, cookies. As for the NSA/CIA owning Google, well, yes, i know all about that. I was told by Elvis Presley, who is still alive and is flipping burgers as a street vendor in Hua Hin. He is there on a secret mission for MI5 and awaiting the second coming of Jesus Christ, apparently.

I get so sick and tired of the mac/Windows arguments, usually carried out by users who are barely qualified to switch on a lightbulb. I use all 3 operating systems. My mac is a good all-rounder that is fast and reliable. My Windows machine in un-surpassable when it comes to games, audio/video editing and the availability of software for almost any purpose, just can't be beat. My Linux machine, has security and reliability built in, This machine of mine is used for all my office work and my web-server, You could literally drop a bomb on it and it would still function.
So you see, all machines/operating systems have their own strengths and are designed for their own particular purposes. All you Windows (fools), Mac (fools) and Linux (fools) need to check and use these systems before you proclaim to know anything about them.
Nuff said.

Actually, i had a student very similar to this, I made sure he was involved in every lesson, gave him the homework to distrbute and used him as the ( whiteboard writer), Had him wipe the ( windows10 screens) and used him as a demonstration model when i was teaching body parts and/ or names of clothing....It worked brilliantly. Children are empty vessels that need to be filled with knowledge and there are many ways to achieve that goal. Sometimes it may be left side or out of the box, but so what ?, use what works

Thrills and agony of Suvarnabhumi Airport captured in BBC trailer (VIDEO)

I haven't seen this one yet. But, i remember when the BBC did a documentary about Nigeria, called "Welcome To Lagos" and i fully expected it to focus on the 419 scams and fake princes ETC. How wrong i was. I was living on a ship ( berthed in Kiri Kiri, Lagos) at the time, and they actually showed Lagos, how it really is, and the reality of the daily life of the people there. I had heard all the stories ( mostly scary) about Nigeria before i sailed, but the reality ( that i witnessed) and the media's portrayal of Nigeria, was so different. Excellent documentary
