Maybe I am a bit out of touch, but I thought that the job of a union was to advocate for the wellbeing of the members. Issues of pay, safety, working conditions, that kind of thing.  Why are they suddenly getting involved in political disputes happening thousands of miles away?  Not their business IMHO.

Free speech and expressing your own opinion for ongoing historical conflicts through any newspaper union is actually on topic and can't be dismissed by the management...

A speech from Haley a few years ago on her first meeting at the UN Security Council. Damning indictment of The UN's anti Israel bias and a clear indication of the Security Councils failure to address the issues of Hezbollah's build up of rockets and Iran.

"U.S. is determined to stand up to the UN’s anti-Israel bias" - Nikki Haley

Haley always opposed against any UN resolution to restrict, punish and/or limit Israel's occupation on Palestine.

My intellectual honesty tells me that she's also responsible for what happened since 7th of October...

Do you have any evidence for your numbers? Evidence as in factual or verifiable information.

As per today : some 17.500 Palestinians died through mass bombing in Gaza.

Some +/- 1/3 victims (+/- 6.000) needs to be added that could not be found under the collapsed buildings.

Some +/- 3x more victims (+/- 50.000) are in need of medical care.

Exact numbers are impossible at this chaotic stage.

Would using a double brick (standard and cheap) with a foam fill work just as effective?

    In general for Thailand :

Double (AAC) brick + foam = humidity + moisture

Double (AAC) brick + air = ants

Ask your architect the thermal efficiency of AAC blocks of 20 cm thickness (maximum size available in Thailand) and if it's smart to install these only one row at the sun side (budget-wise). This question should be for free before starting your project.

For knowing better AAC blocks : check Ytong or Xella blocks on European sites. They provide free installation manuals for specific construction application for brick-to-concrete-column, windows, roofs, doors, reinforcements, humidity, etc.

Not so long ago the Hamas supporters here were praising how well Hamas were looking after the hostages after a few staged releases with smiles under duress. Remember @Neeranam

I presume they've now read the latest statement from Hamas, they will kill all remaining hostages unless all their demands are met..........

A reminder of these barbarians below................

Wouldn't know that he's an 'official' anything. He's a Likud party member, not on the parliament, and don't think he holds a government position. Other than that, it actually was posted on here, but deleted as it's an RT piece.

Nothing much to do with the topic at hand.

    You're grasping at straws.

    Off topic ?

Yemen has very good relationships with Russia and Yemen has mainly Russian missiles. Russia can do the same with Yemen in terms of funding and re-arming Yemen like the US and EU did with Ukraine.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russia–Yemen_relations#:~:text=Russia and Yemen enjoy both, both countries maintain close ties.

Majority of oil traded in the world passes through or via :

    1. The Strait of Ormuz - close to Iran

    2. Red Sea entrance - close to Yemen

Majority of oil delivered in Israel comes from Azerbaijan through Turkey. Today's Israeli relationship with Turkey (Erdogan) is not optimum as this war takes too long (many civil causalities on both sides) and too many unnecessary third party countries like involving Russia Amir Whitman's war provocation.

As a long time stamp collector I remember stamps of the Protectorate of Aden, a crown colony of Great Britain.  I recall stamps with King George VI and Queen Elizabeth on them.  Some time in the 1960's, Aden gained independence and changed its name to Yemen.  For some reason I never collected stamps from Yemen.

Out of curiosity I did a search on the history of Yemen.  Like much of the Middle East it has a very ancient and complicated history.

According to Wikipedia, the country has changed hands a few times by different warring factions.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Yemen

Sorry, a protectorate is not a colony. The protectorate with Great Britain was created to counter the Ottoman Empire who wanted to expand both in that region.

    Quote from source :

A colony is a region owned by a country but does not form part of the country. A protectorate is a nation in itself that is governed by a government but relies entirely on another country for protection against invasion from some other country.

It is interesting to note that a protectorate is characterized by autonomy.

    Interesting development.

Netanyahu has just announced Israel will take on the Houthis in Yemen if the U.S. doesn't.  Anyone care to comment?

Yemenites were never conquered and defeated in human history. Same same as the Taliban...

An Israeli official Amir Wetmann (Russia Will Pay a High Price for Killing Israelis’ )also made a claim to handle Russia for what(ever) they did...this was not reported here on AN.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iX30OQobMXk

Looks like Netanyahu is forcing his near future political departure party by inviting his friends from Palestine, Lebanon (Hezbollah), Syria, Yemen, Russia and why not Iran...

There's something that bothers me about the story. I don't want to blame the victim, but was there any forensic evidence when it happened in seawater? Or any other evidence? Or was it just an accusation?

There are nuts out there who make things up. Not sure what happened here. Sounds true just from listening to her on the tape. The next question is what do you do if it happens in an isolated spot and you can't prove anything, just believe the first person to say something? What if they are contradicting each other?

Forensic research of any rape inside water is very difficult, not to say impossible.

I think he just picked a shape and went for the troll.

    Could have been octagonal....

He's still right because he said :

bricks + round shape = Hamas DIY tunnel made for military operations

casted concrete + square shape = civil engineering design for underground reservoirs and hospital services (laundry, MRI's etc.)

The one in the footage is casted concrete + square shape + bonus : one elevator

Let's wait for the conclusive findings of Israeli General Hagari.

He's very strong in finding corroborative war crime evidences...worldwide.

In it's current form, the party is 11 strong in a 64 seat coalition. That would imply circa 300,000 voters (for comparison, Likud got something like 1,100,000).

    Your post is irrelevant.

300.000 ultra orthodox voters is still a minority in Israel (7.145.000 Jews).

Even more tiny minority within +/- 15.200.000 world Jewry society.

Thanks. You made my point with figures.

Quote from your Twitter source : "Hamas - More Jihadis captured by the IDF. I say "captured" they actually surrendered" by a certain "RonEnglish"...

Is this an official news source as per forum rules? "RonEnglish" = Mainly upload videos relating to pro native interests & security matters.

These Palestinian men from Gaza were arrested in Northern Gaza and brought into Israel for further interrogations to check any affiliation of Hamas. This is the official narrative.

    https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/hamas-condemns-israel-over-images-showing-semi-naked-palestinian-prisoners-2023-12-08/

Their only crime (according to Israel) is that they were remaining in Gaza city and are treated like Hamas militants.

To know that some 30% of Gaza causalities are still under the destroyed buildings and many objects that remained in the north after evacuation could be used to survive in the South of Gaza.

    Quote from source:

"We are talking about individuals who are apprehended in Jabalia and Shejaia (in Gaza city), Hamas strongholds and centres of gravity," Israeli government spokesperson Eylon Levy told a briefing when asked about the images.

"We are talking about military-age men who were discovered in areas that civilians were supposed to have evacuated weeks ago."

You are aware that the parties representing them are part of Netnayahu's coalition, right?

Some ultra orthodox Jews that live in Israel are indeed in the coalition of Netanyahu. But that's a minority and are religious radicals with ultra right nationalist inspirations as Bibi and other ultra right settler franchise.

The non-ultra orthodox world Jewry (mostly outside Israel) is against the Zionist project as they follow the Torah and the Talmud(s) without concessions.

Both groups are not the same.

  15. More here : https://www.reddit.com/r/Thailand/comments/1352485/thai_passport_renewal_now_requires_thai_id_card/

"They will ask why it took you so long to apply, and why you're applying now or something along those lines. I just said something very general, like that my parents never did it for me, I was studying and working in the UK and that I now want to work and live in Thailand and learn thai (this was all translated by my neighbor).

The whole process took about 2-3 hours. Just be very respectful and look smart, especially since our Thai is bad. I was lucky to have a good guy in charge of my application - from what I saw whoever is looking after your application can just deny you if they can't be bothered to really go through it. So very important to have someone who can speak Thai.

Feel free to ask me anymore questions or send me a DM, I know how frustrating this thing is but once you get it is SUCH a relief! Thailand opens up so much more once you have it, I literally landed a job on the evening I got my ID card."
