  1. Hello all, I entered Thailand on 7 December 2022 on the 45 day visa, followed by a 30 day extension. At the end of that, I flew to Vientiane and back in one day and repeated the above. Got my extension last week at CW. My question is, will I be ok to fly out and back again when this current extension runs out? Or is 3 back-to-back entries not allowed and I should apply for an SETV somewhere before trying to re-enter? I’m also aware that the 45 day entry is now back down to 30.
  2. Probably
  3. Thanks! Yep, VFS gave me the embassy letter when I picked up the new one. Hopefully it wont cost much, if anything, and I will post my experience for future reference. Going on Sunday from DMK to Vientiane and then straight back again.
  4. Thanks! That's what I'd hoped. I guess it's the same at Don Mueang too? That's where I'm flying out of.
  5. I think it will do but I think they take you to a different booth to transfer the extension stamp, and then you can go through to departures, but I've only heard of people doing at Suvarnibum or DM, never done it myself.
  6. Yes, this is what I thought, and I've seen some threads on this site discussing it, with most saying they have gone to their local IO and got it done and some who have just had it done at the airport before flying
  7. Oh ok, I was under the impression that any stamps in the old passport would be considered null and void after the new one was issued. This is why I understood that people go to immigration offices to have their stamps transferred from old to new passports before flying anywhere. So, what you're saying in a nutshell is I have no reason to so any of that, just show up at the airport with both old and new passports and and they will be ok with that? And coming back in, same thing?
  8. ooops, sorry, it's actually the 30 day extension I need to transfer
  9. Just as an alternative to having to go up to CW to do it. I've heard of people who instead of going to CW have gone to the airport with both old and new PPs and the IOs have done the transfer there quite quickly before the scheduled flight
  10. Hello all, does anyone know whether it is still possible to get a visa extension stamp (from a 45 day on arrival) transferred from an old UK passport to a new one at Suvarnabhumi or DMK when flying out. As much as I adore trips to CW, I would prefer to just deal with it at the airport when I'm due to fly out, if possible. Thanks in advance.
  11. BTW< yesterday I did get the landlord to fill out a tm30 too and got copies of IDs etc
  12. Hey Brian, thanks, and thanks to all other respondents, much appreciated. I meant "now gotten him". It was at IT Square when it happened. Perhaps it would help if I got the landlord to write a letter to take with me saying that up until now I have been staying as their guest rather than a tenant? I'm not sure it would make any difference.
  13. Hi all, I recently returned to Thailand after being away for a few years. I came with VOA (45 days) and on Friday I had to go to IT Square to get the 30 day extension, however I was told when I was there that I needed some kind of proof of where I was staying from my landlord or they couldn't do it. I've known my landlord for 15 years and his whole family (they live in the same small building) and last time I stayed here and this time, they have not been charging me rent so there is no contract. I have no gotten him to write one up and provide copies of the other documentation so I can at least show something when I return on Monday but due to the requirement (at least as I understand it) for me to have been registered within 24 hours of arrival, the landlord has dated out contract for Sunday, the day before I return. The snag here is that when I was there on Friday, the official told me I had to prove where I had been since arriving in Bangkok. Can anyone shed any light? I'm worried I might have to fly out now if the reject it.
