Indonesia, one of the largest populations in the world only has 1000 more cases than here.
Again, absolutely nothing compared to other countries in the west.
lets talk again in a few weeks

Thanks for the response.
I guess time will tell, however there is absolutely no evidence to suggest Thailand, or any other country in this region, is on course for an Italy or USA type outbreak. Therefore, that is good news for all of us.
I suggest you look at Indonesia

Again, good news. No exponential increases like other countries have seen. Yesterday's increase was solely down to the 40 - 50 of the cases returning from Indonesia.
As long as there isn't another explosion of related cases like the Lumpini Boxing Stadium then this is seeming to be controllable at the moment.
Nonsense

Tomorrow I need to get my prescription ( not for that virus ) as you know every body
in the west get a flu shot, and yes I can get this a t local chemist but I need the
prescription from the doctor for other things. so I have to go and wait at the surgery
for a bit.

I went to the supermarket today nobody worn a face mask of course
Asians, the government and doctors tell you not to wear one and our
infection rate goes down. Why is that? Sorry I did not mention I live in OZ.

Yes that is correct the PR last for 5 years ? But you only need to get a new one if
you travel overseas.

Hmm, my sister, from Scotland is an Oz citizen.
Can Permanent Residents vote?
you have to be citizen to vote but apart from that you have the same
rights. A friend of mine is from England and lives her most of his life
has his own house,business.

20% of immigrants worldwide are citizens. How can you tell which ones are and which ones aren't?
I would be put in jail if I went to the Indian corner shop and told the family that they are only guests and I have "all the right in the world" to complain about something they are doing.
Try Australia, most British living here are not citizen they are just permanent residents,
they have the same rights as Australian citizens.

Turns out there's a very fast and easy way to reduce new cases to zero. Just stop testing.

I'd like to see you try to throw a dollop of butter that has been sitting on the counter at 35 degrees for 10 minutes at me. The point of the post is that this is why the numbers are lower here in Thailand than in Europe or USA, where is is still cold outside. Obviously it is transmittable from human to human.
It hasn't been cold in Australia we just getting over summer well maybe in Tassie in WA we still have
33 to 35 forecast and still getting infections (most of them from the cruise ships and visitors)

True, Australia started social distancing and then lockdown pretty quickly and the rate of new infections and deaths has been quite low.
Only 34 total deaths nationally to date.
Five have been from one old people nursing home where initially they didn't follow the distancing directives and eight have come from cruise ships which did a poor job of hygiene etc.
34 less 13 = just 21 deaths nationally. Social distancing and lockdown works (but of course people (preferably only one person per household can go out to buy groceries, medicines, etc.).
And yes 84% are imported from overseas travels or cruise ships

Oz government let 2700 off one ship, now that’s stupid!
Wrong, not the government the captain lied and reported no ill people with symptoms
the Australian government is taking criminal action against that company.
