ok I will take the bait.....?? Change money where....??
-
I'm watching this share as well and after a week of consolidation with a new base of around 3.1p established 3 reports are due this week and dont rule out a rns at 0700 uk time today......am expecting it to reach 4p-4.2p this weeks close. Shorters seem (for now) to have moved elsewhere. Personally believe it should be banned on AIM
Mid price currently 3.225p

So is the OP detained somewhere during this farce against his will ?? I'd refuse that no question and leave on first available flight

Actually they (NW Group) were quite low key up to last year, then the head guy (Bryan Flowers) starts really being vocal and up front on all social media (including posts of taking care of the police). His so called managers (sic) also started adding stuff online which must upset the authorities also, so I believe this has also played into the hands of City Hall, to not shut the soi down, but to hamstring it's operation and profits severely. Time will tell, but these guys should cool it for a while, as nobody really cares who owns what, just that there are nice women to hook up with.
NOTE: I am also a person that enjoyed Soi 6 in the afternoons, so the afternoon hiatus is also the shits for me personally.
Hope saner heads prevail.
Yes am afraid that flowers fella really is somewhat deluded with his posting on facebook. I deleted him when the idiot was boasting on his facebook about breaking someone out of jail kenny or something similar. Wanted no further connection the guy is very very naive

He's 25 years older. That a lot of years. He doesn't have the sex drive he once had and he's getting old. Instead of dealing with that, he's trying to blame the place where he lives for his aging blues.
Yep 25 years older and I'll not blow too much smoke up my arse but hardly look any different to then. In fact I'd say I look better as fitter and slimmer. Few lines on face but very little else. Exercise and diet the key.
Nor did I say in OP I lived here albeit 5-6 months of the year

So if it's an English mobile no. and it's in England they don't get charged any more for taking the call than if it was another caller from next door in England ... Are you sure? Please confirm Thanks
Sent from my CUBOT_NOTE_S using Tapatalk
Confirmed....I'm incurring the cost using Thai Sim.
Out of interest I just used in the end the 006 normal True Prefix that I normally use for landlines. To the mobile in uk it looks as if it was around 8 baht a minute from deducted balance

But won't the receiver of the call get hammered for taking an international call?
Sent from my CUBOT_NOTE_S using Tapatalk
No only if the receiving phone was roaming. English number within England
-
Guys If I call UK landlines using the 00600 prefix it charges me 1 baht a minute (plus vat)
If I want to call mobile and am going to have to and its going to be a long call is there a code I can use to lower the costs ?? So True Move to UK mobile
Thanks

And eat outside the bars from food carts.
This merely means that impecunious old pensioners believe they are in deep doo doo. Pattaya isn't at all but is continuing expansion yet adjusting to changing conditions. Latest big infrastructure project is the tunnel.
Absurd idea conceived mainly for the convenience of the great Golden Egg Layers staying in flophouses around Soi Buakhao. No, they rightly aren't a priority in Pattaya development schemes by the sensible city council. Last I heard some more upscale hotels (relatively) are being planned for Buakhao. Just another reason to stay in Pattaya, right? Trouble is, them arrogant hotel clerks!
That said, I do think it's high time for a stop light at the intersection of Soi Diana and Buakhao. Perhaps they'll get around to that someday.
But you see the OP isn't concerned with infrastructure, traffic, sidewalks, or THE PROMENADE!!! Soi Buakhao wasn't mentioned among his woes as it is yours. His issues are merely that
(1) as a hansum man, he now feels an intolerable lack of fawning attention from beautiful women--'cause there aren't any. He actually doesn't care about sex, however, and so even all them old, ugly, fat ladies have probably figured out he's not paying any bar fines. He also
(2) needs to feel part of a crowd to be happy, but he's not finding crowded streets & bars like he used to 25 years ago when Pattaya had about a fourth of the number of bars it does now. Gotta be streets with bars--I mean, Central's been pretty crowded this high season after all. Some, now, find this a blessing, as I do; and of course many a bar is in fact well patronized most of the time. The final issue is
(3) that of bigotry as he disdains some of the tourist groups now in Pattaya and is utterly helpless to find any means of avoiding them. His sense of aesthetics and proper manners have been affronted.
That's IT; nothing else matters.
Hence, OP has no choice but to leave. Seems wise. Bon voyage, OP. Let us know when you've found a place to meet the above requirements. Me, I think I shall be bothered to visit Soi 6 this afternoon.
As far from the truth it would be harder to get....

Certainly wont be covered by Insurance in the hold nailed on

I half expected to be slated for the OP but surprisingly not so. Certainly in 2018 am going Greece again even if its only for a 2-3 weeker
-
As Greece has been mentioned several times I took one of the Boys to one of the Greek islands in 2015.....It was the first time I had been anywhere but Thailand in 23 years. I had forgotten what it was like. Absolutely loved it
Lovely people, clean and Bouzouki music instead of that Issan garbage.

Which would be nonsense, as in most cases those rude tourists are Russians, Indians, Middle Eastern and Chinese Mainlanders, who rarely frequent what you call the "Bar scene"
Have to say I wouldnt put Russians in that group. Always seem polite to me. The other 3 groups yes especially the first !!

OP it seems you are bothered by the type of foreign tourists and perhaps expats that are predominate in Pattaya which are people from GB without beating around the bush. You are encountering smelly, baht pinching, tattooed everywhere, singlet wearing drunks around places you remembered having less of that from your post. You also comment on the girl scene not being nearly the same and also you not wanting that scene as much. I think you should just try out Hua Hin for awhile the tourists there are mainly from Norway, Sweden, some Danish and a nice mix of other Euros, Americans and Canadians etc. Things are quieter but there is a bar area and a little girlie bar area. The beach is cleaner and you can swim in it and a little farther away are even cleaner beaches, there are supermarkets, malls and theaters and tons of restaurants etc. It's really not bad and much more peaceful that Pats. The crowd would be much more to your liking. It's still Thailand too and you can easily take a train to BKK or a boat every once in awhile back to Pattaya. I would go there and if I were you I would skip the Spanish coast based on your comments but maybe try Greece. Good luck. Change is good ?
The tatt brigade are all from the UK as you say. Indulge me if you're a Brit and reading and your arms are painted green and black. When you see these sleeve tattoos on an A4 sheet does it enter your head that a third party when viewing it "in situ" sees only around 140/150 degrees of it at best ?? Inotherwards its looks a blob of nothing lol
I will say now I have 3 Tatts myself all high up on arms and back before someone says I'm tatt bashing
Actually the tourists that I mentioned are from what I call the sub continent. Am not naming them outright but certainly not Chinese......Disgusting cheap charlie animals and thats pretty polite

Went out last night after giving myself a good slapping and did what I do best...... Smile, joke with the Girls as if its your first trip and this morning I've woken up with a creature that is quite delightful (and not joking very pretty). I vaguely remember BFing for 2 nights.... Said she was 24 but looks about 14 so had to ger her ID card out which proves the former.
All is good with the World again.....
Nothing to see here lol
-
Think one or two misunderstood my post (my fault)
Am not looking at other areas in Pattaya per se. Have just got bored of the bar scene and if you wanted to tip me over the edge lol telling me to go New Plaza drinking will do it nicely. You need vaccinations before making incursions into that area
Snooky and Bali mentioned. Doesnt anyone else in middle age feel that the vibe has changed (not overnight) but the very essence of Boy meets Girl of late 80,s early 90's has long gone as it was. Internet of course huge part to play. Theres a nationality of people here that are quite frankly disgusting in manners, appearance, incapable of washing and God knows what else.
Hordes of them all over the beach concession lady for Coconuts today with her politely saying they are 50 Baht each with them time after time saying 3 for 100.....in the end I stood up and politely said to them they are 50 Baht EACH either buy them or go somewhere else...... Good 12 of them now handing over their 50 Bahts. Embarrassing for all around. Italian guy besides me said well done mate.

Changed beyond all recognition in last 25 years. Yes Ive got older but as far as Girls go I'm still a handsome man on the basis the quality of guys left is close to appalling. What are here have a fascination in making themselves look as ugly as possible with shaven polls and arms painted green and black.
Its not even fun any more in the main. Spend a lot of nights in Hotel now just watch decent movie and go Beach or Swimming Pool during day which I certainly enjoy.... Point in question I could do that in Spain or Greece.
Soi's 6, 7 and 8 and changed beyond belief and North Pattaya a Ghost town. Soi 6 in particular always a good laugh is a dying shell of what it was and getting worse. walked it yesterday about 5pm shall not bother again deserted
Frankly I cant be arsed with it anymore !! If you're not coming here for sex (and I can completely take or leave it) then why am I coming. Shocking Exchange rates for Brits not helping
Maybe a change of location in Thailand ?? Pleased if others would input on that

The SEX industry of Pattaya is going to carry on, as it does all over
Thailand , and has done for year before we all turned up.
Maybe we can have the old Tea houses of Thailand back again.
Any one for a cuppa , nudge nudge, wink wink.
Well lets agree to disagree. A lot of changes are coming I have no doubt but will I guess take at least 5 years plus before its really noticed. Cretins putting "no underwear party" and similar on Facebook do none of us any favours

Is this the bloke one of the mysteriously referenced 'British businessmen' by some other government mouthpiece wringing his hands about Pattaya being 'outed'?
Almost certainly. I doubt there is another individual foreign businessman with more bars. Wont end well but clearly others have told him to slow down but he takes no notice.

Business as usual after the 'international' attention is gone. What are the brown clowns going to survive on without the tea money from the bar owners and such? They can't, and are completely incapable of, doing any real work to earn anything. Give it a few more weeks, me thinks.
Those days are over and limited. Police are NO longer in control. What is about some of you who cannot grasp that simple fact. There are no elections on any horizon. This is a miltary state for years to come. Accept it rather than burying your heads
