I presume, she's a working girl, 7x30x1000= 200k+, plus she has maybe missed the opportunity to meet the knight on the white horse during that period. Yes I know, you have paid for her 35 baht meals and maybe even given her a little spending money, but in her mind, now being dumped, it has been time wasted.

I passed by there last night at the time that the police and rescue services had just arrived. The body was still laying in the midddle of the road, but covered already.

What I found strange however was that the were looking around with flash lights, as it was dark already, searching for in the banks of the road distances away from the body.

This was probably where they found the bank book. But what would indicate that there was a need to search the road banks 50 -100 meters away from the body?

Maybe the suspicious dead body in the middle of the road ??

We stayed at Seminyak, nice area. Villas easy to find, we did not bother with hotels and kids club stuff, but plenty about.

We flew airasia direct and with good times and cheaper quite a bit than Thai.

As for passport, always best to get the Thai one if convenient, but if not dont bother as sure other ops will pop up to get it. My son does not have one and overstay is not an issue for the young.....but is best to get.

Air Asia looks it....but need to return on monday and no flights according to them......could go with them and return with emirates perhaps...

Also hotel...had recommendations, but all seem rather exy.

Want central area, view would be sweet, but can go without that if problem.....convenient for getting around to most spots.

Hotels exy, tried airbnb, but they are slow and most that suit seem to be booked.

Need for 3 people......under $200 for 4 nights......so big bed and one extra bed would suffice.....but all hotels look to be charging 2000b plus for xtra bed.....on top of circa 5k for loom

Many cultures have the children raised by the grandparents as the parents are busy in hunting or gathering or out making money. In my experience children raised by grandparents were far better adjusted and had a happier childhood because the older folks had more time to spend with them. In my own case my grandfather was a retired professional athlete and taught me the skills of his sport and never missed one of my games.

I live in an area where there are lots of very large trees...unfortunately development is now rampant and a lot are being lost, thoroughly disgusting what these people do in their backyard.....I had thought of a tree id plan.....same same the heritage type of arrangement and seeing if it could be listed with the government for special and significant trees...age and size etc....and then some protection of sorts and embarrassment for those that do not take care of them for the future.

When is mid-life? I'm mid 40s and thinking of building a swimming pool, learning the guitar and stone sculpture.

Its when you start to feel inadequate with your lifes achievements and you get depressed.....yell at everyone....sulk a lot and generally feel cheated.

A lot just come to thailand and then go home and pack their bags and return for as long as it lasts.
