I remember seeing you mention HSBC earlier, not sure if anyone mentioned it yet but HSBC has closed their doors here for personal accounts and no longer offer that for personal accounts I beleive they only do company accounts now.

the U.S. can see (since many years) any account and its details of any national if that account is with a financial institution located in the U.S.

interesting is also the fact that the U.S. can see (in details) any transfer denominated in U.S. Dollars if this transfer is done from one bank in Singapore to another bank in Singapore even if these two banks are located in the same building.

But that is because the money actaully travels via a couple or 3 designated banks located in NYC isn't it.

That is what I thought so to hide the transfer could you hand walk a cashiers check over or would that go via NYC as well? Only other way to do it is take a loss and trade to SGD and back again at the bank it is going too.

I still think there is more to this story but it would seem the Swedish govt is awfully quiet about it, I suspect the Swedish govt already knew where she was but did not want to persue her thus the people above reporting this story has gotten invovled to put pressure on the govt? I had a great thorough examination a a doctor at Mt. Elizabeth in Singapore 6 years ago and got the prescription filled at one of those walk in places in Isetan mall. Nothing special but those glasses lasted me a good 5 years, excelllent but as time does my eyes needed new glasses last year. I went to highly recommended guy in Jakarta andI never really fel these glasses were spot on and already these glasses are giving me problems and it is not my eyes it is definitely the glasses. I am goign through Singers in a couple of months and will see the same woman in Mt. E and let her give me another thorough exam.

Well we are talking Indonesian water that is being filtered since I am still in Indonesia but learning here since I will be coming sooner rather than later. But the thing I forgot to mention which I should have was that I had a kidney transplant in Singapore in 2007 so I do take meds to reduce my immune system so my body does not reject my 3rd kidney and that is probably why I had the problems I did but still the water should be totally clean of everything so I really do not know, I am 56 on meds to reduce my immune system, I stick to the bottled water and the bottled Corona.

Over the past 27 years I have only lived in 2 places, BKK and Jakarta so brushing my teeth and taking a shower with the local water has never been a problem. I do remember back 28 years I and crew members were in PNG and staying at the best hotel in Port Moresby but all still had problems with that hotel water, probably something in the pipes.

The owner of the uninsured, untaxed m/c with a rider who had no licence was made to pay full restitution. All negotiations took place by my then girlfriend who was a passenger in the car at the time of the accident and I was never once asked anything at all.

They are on the streets in Bangkok. The machine takes water right out of the air and filters it continuesly . I remember in the US a good machine will set you back $1200.

Dancer, We bought one of those for a kitchen counter, takes the water and filters the microbes out it then gives it a reverse osmosis treatment. Odd though and it is probably me but if I drank that water out fo that machine I got the runs a few days afterwards but my wife, our daughter and our 2 sevants have never had a problem. I had to go back to the 17 gallon jugs of purified water we bought from Aqua while they stuck with the filtered stuff. My doctor in Singapore said it was due to a lack of minerals in the water. Hi Midas, no I don't know Stark (I try to ignore most politicians as much as I can besides I am from the other coast, the Old Dominion to be exact) but I will make it point to Google him via Youtube tomorrow and check him out. I assume the Obama administration made the overture for gun reform was to try and quell the outrage over the slaughter of the 20 kids and 8 adults at the Connecticut elementary school. As usual they did not expect that outrage over the gun reform would over power the quell from the shooting. Speaking of vigilante justice I can see that happening, more and more people unemployed and no jobs to really work and make a decent living, the US is only a service industry now and has been one since the last 4 years of Bush's tenure. Jim Rogers, for those that do not know, was George Soros partner when they both became billiionaires. Rogers also saw the writing on the wall and in 2011/2012 changed his primary residence from NYC to Singapore. Anyway Faber and Rogers have been talking Doom & Gloom since 2005/2006 it happened in 2008 and still no let up, they are still talking doom and gloom which I agree with but it seems that it never comes.

What you said is not exactly right, i understand why you think that, but that is the mainstream media opinion, if you dig deeper you will see that Marc Faber is very bullish sometimes and at other times negative. For example in March 2009 he was bullish.

The media love putting a spin on anyone that get's close to the truth, if you don't beieve me go through all his youtube video's and you will see that he does not deserve the name dr doom. All he is doing is stating the truth about the large western type country's. For exapme he has been very upbeat on emerging markets for a long time, so this does on qualify him as being negative all the time on everything. I agree with his long term opinion about money printing, that's just pure common sense. You can see it happening in real time. For example America, UK are moving from first world to 2nd world countrys, the change is slow that's why it's hard to notice. Just look at the UK pound against the thai baht.
