My friend needs to attend a real Thai culture course as soon as possible so that he can extend his extension past September. As far as I have read everything about culture courses and TCT tests have stopped but Immigration are still wanting this paper work. Any info would be great as not even immigration dont know but are following the law.

This never came up with my application. On my first application we were informed that we would have a house visit and have 2 witness. Plus that we had 3000 baht ready for the immigration chaps when they showed up. All done, now on my second extension and none of the bother from the first year.

Today I just went to Nan for my visa extension stamp. Well the roads are still being widen, and it is alittle bumpy in some places just becareful as parts between Phrea and Nan they have cut across the road to put drainage pipes in and they have only filled it with gravel so it can be alittle rough if you hit them too fast. Apart from that it was a breeze and I will not have to go and see until next year, hopefully the roads will be finished by then.

Even going to the toilet and taking a poop and then cleaning your own ass is classed as work here, as there is a Thai person who can be paid by you to do it for you..............insane Thailand laws.

No mention of hours of teaching / salery or housing? Not a great advertising scheme you run. What about work permits / visas?

These protestors are just showing what morons they are. Is it not warm enough in Thailand, so they light a fire. Is it not light enough for them that they seek to light a fire. I hope they inhale the smoke and choke on it.

You only have to look at England now and see "autonomy" of the Muslims in full action.They have their own rules and laws, how does a country work that way? A country has laws and guides lines to follow set by the natives of that land. If I want to live in a different country I have have to follow it; regardless of beliefs. Autonomy sounds the same to me as "MAFIA". Our rule or you die!

It makes sense to do this. Every province should have its own immigration office just like they have their own police stations as this is what they are calling themselves. If it saves a 7-8 hour round trip it once or even twice a year it can only be a good thing.

Well here comes 1997 again. The baht will crash if it doesn't I do not understand why it hasn't happened. If a new government comes into power they will have to try and repay back this loan from the bank. Thailand is sinking as quickly as the Titanic...........very sad to see this happening. If there is not some serious investigation of certain politicians accounts as to where money has gone and to whom in the last 4 years this country will be totally bankrupt and no one will want to deal with them as long as this scam/corruption continues.

There is no reason for this apart from once they are in their property they feel that nothing outside of it matters. This could be playing loud music, do construction at anytime of the day or shouting at their other half at high volume when they are drunk. Not alot can be done, even telling the police is useless, unless you actually know one with some authority. I find the advertising pick-ups one of the most annoying noise pollution making problems here in Thailand.

Why has she told Mr. Somsak to talk to the police? What the hell have they got to do with the ministry of tourism and sport? Is she really on the same planet as the rest of us or has she started taking Charlems ear medicine as well to stop weird voices coming from Dubai?

So Thai time. "We maybe disclose the details tomorrow or sometime when we can be arsed". These people in a government position are so full of crap when it comes to trying to look big but afraid to look small. The reason being they have no CLUE what they are supposed to do!

When I have applied for my non O extension of marriage, apart from a map to where I live plus pics; never have I needed a copy of rental/lease agreements or my land owners house owners book before.

My only quarm with this is, as a foreigner you should be able to go to any available immigration/labour office. This regionalized policy is crap and should be changed.

With the Thai schools having their schools breaks soon. Maybe she can help out in the summer camps arranged by the schools. Pay would have to be talked about between yourself/daughter and said school.

I hope everything goes well for you and th gf/soon to be wife. I did not have to pay anything to my thai wife's family before or after the wedding, but they helped us out alot and we gave back; such is karma. All I know is I will never starve or not have a roof over my head from my Thai family...........by the way I am only 36

I am happy this month. I normally put 3,500 aside for the electric but this month the bill is only 1,600............very happy. I expect the summer will come and karma will be paid back in full

Hmmm I doubt this very much considering they have nothing to export apart from mouldy rice and over priced costs on tourists. I wonder what new ingenious scam they will come up with this year to make up the lack of figures.

Well bugger me! Thai people can't be arrested at this time with the problems in BKK now found with the ammo and bombs in thier possession and be released by the police. Now as a farang if I want to do some honest labour I cant because of a WP! Iwould be in jail and deported!! They are so screwed up with their laws and regs that they do not even know or understand them! The land of I dont know but mai bpen rai. I am so sad to see this happen to this place I like to call home.
