Let's be fair here, the lockdown and shutdown of Airports in many countries and in Thailand was announced in advance and we all knew it was coming.I got out in good time and so did some of my friends even though they own properties in Samui.
Those who elected to remain have no excuse whatsoever to complain or ask for a free Lodging etc.. Their respective embassies should get involved immediately.

A BENEVOLENT SOCIETY ????,So why the German is still in Thailand when he knew long ago of the situation and what will he do today as the 1000 baht must have ran out by now?
People who do a good deed with sincerity do not advertise their good deeds though.

Less alchohol during the Songkran period, with or without water fights will reduce socialising, and if it is only for 10 days, as in some places, not so bad. It's the danger of the ten days becoming another ten days, and then another that is worrying.
Why worrying? ????

This is figures from countries irrespective of nationality by the looks, including transit points. Looks like they've also included workers/border bouncers from Malaysia, Burma and Cambodia. Makes initial figure look higher?
Couple of friends went to attend a Court hearing about their land that a local authority trying to grab from them, while another went in for few days to finish his dental treatment. As for me I went for few days mid January to attend an interview about a tender.
We all live 2 to 3 hours away by plane. We were not tourists but our entry chop will indicate that we were.

It is free if you have symptoms related to that virus.
Whether a person has it or not ,there is NO CURE.Only ride it out by staying home for 15 days and avoid smoking as I did and you will be fine.

A 10pm to 4am curfew will not reduce the number of infected people. This is the period when there are less people on the roads or outdoors.
More testing will result in a much higher figures.

Should be approved without debate and without any fees. COMPASSIONATE GROUND AND EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES ARE ALWAYS RESPECTED BY NORMAL GOVERNMENTS.My Thai friend stranded in San Francisco and she was telling me couple of hours ago she is desperate to return to bkk worried about her business and about contracting the virus in SF.
She was allowed to stay longer without any fuss.

What are the numbers of those tested thus far? Is there a source for this figure? We constantly see numbers for positive cases of CV but not for numbers tested.
Assume 1 positive in every 45 tested. Here in Brunei we have 109 positive cases while more than 2500 were tested with over 1400 under the 14 days observation after landing/ entering the country in the past 10 days.
