All on Mitrapap Highway:
Macro has a good selection of farang food.
Big C has the best french style cheese selection (Camembert etc) and fresh vegetables.
Tops in Central Plaza is expensive but has the best bacon (Belucky brand), fresh Ravioli, quality meat, fresh spices and vegetables and much more, but a poor cheese selection.

I have a new passport.
Last entry into Thailand was 1. Oct 2014.
New passport on 9. 7. 2019.
Three retired extensions and about ten 90 day reports manually with the new passport without any problems.
I tried online 90 day report (new system) first time in jan 2022. Was rejected. Manually 90 day report a few days later without any hint of a problem.
-
I never used the old system. I tried the old system to find the reason for my rejection. But there are no data from me there.

Have you ever done a 90 day report before ?
Yes, I have been here continuously since 2014 and regularly do my 90 day report. Except for my last attempt, all in person at the immigration office KKC. Never missed one.

I tried the new system for 90 day report, got a password, made the login, filled the form - all very easy and convenient. But the my request was rejected.
QuoteYour application for "STAYING LONGER THAN 90 DAYS" has been rejected.
For further information regarding The 90-day Notification Report Service.
Please contact the Immigration Branch Office in your residence area.

Kind regards.
This email is auto-generated. Please do not reply. In case of any queries, please contact ROYAL THAI POLICE IMMIGRATION BUREAU.I then made the report at my immigration office in Khon Kaen. Without any difficulties. I also asked why my online request was rejected, but they were not able to help me. The officer told me that they have nothing to do with that system and could not tell me more.
Does anybody know where I could get a reliable answer why my online requests are rejected? So I could fix the problem. I am not looking for any 'maybe' or 'a friend of mine' guessing, but for an address where someone can tell me why my requests are rejected.

Is there a list of private hospitals that will offer Moderna vaccinations? In Isaan, especially in Khon Kaen.

A return or onward ticket is not required for entry to the country if you have valid visa of any kind.
In Switzerland and in the Netherlands you should be able - when you enter the country - to present the same documents as needed to get your visa at the consulate.

Same same in Bern.
For non married Swiss the way to go is Tourist and then change in Thailand to Non Immigrant.
There is a rumor that since 3 years, this change can only be done by immigration in Chaeng Watana. Hence my inquiery here. The rumor seams to be baseless and probably stems from „offices“ who want to „help“ and cash some money.

The required "Abmeldebestätigung" is only in Switzerland (Bern or Basel) for application of a Non Immigrant O based on "retirement", 50+, not married to a Thai national.
If married to a Thai an "Abmeldebestätigung" is not required, instead a "Wohnsitzbestätigung" is accepted.
This rule seams to be only in Thai consulates in Switzerland.
To keep legal residence in Switzerland has several consequences, one of them is to keep ones health insurance in Switzerland. For some people this is important. A work around for a non married Swiss would be to apply in a Thai consulate in Switzerland for a Tourist Visa and then change the status to Non Immigrant in Thailand.

The reason to change is, that consulates in Switzerland give Non Immigrant O "retired" visa to 50+ men married a Thai national
or to nonmarried men only if he can show a "Abmeldebestätigung" which would prevent him to keep his health insurance.

There exists a form TM 86 to apply for change of visa status from "Tourist" to "Non Immigrant".
Can this change be done in any immigration office or only in BKK?

A german national arrived in Thailand without visa - he got a 30 day visa exempt permission to stay at Suvarnabhumi airport.
He is married to a Thai. His wife lives in Chiang Mai, hence her tabien baan is from there. He intends to travel together with her for several weeks through Isaan and needs to apply for a 60 day extension based on 'married to a Thai national, visiting family'.
When applying he will be accompanied by his wife, her ID, tabien baan, his own passport and their marriage certificate.
Question: can he apply for this extension in any immigration office - for example in Udon or Ubon - or only in the province as stated in the tabien baan of his wife? Must he go to Chiang Mai for this application?

Sorry, it was the 26. Oct. in that official statement. The point was, that they should close only one day.
-
There was a statement, that shopping centers, business etc. will close only one day: the 25. Oct. I can not remember if government offices where listed too.

You need a ballpoint pen, your passport and one photo. Take your ticket or a printout of your flight reservation along - just to be sure.
Everything else, photocopies, forms (plural !) are available at the immigration office.
14 days in advance is OK.
To get a 30 day extension of stay based on your tourist visa will take about than 1 hour. More only if there are a lot of people waiting.
The departure card is the white card which was stiched to your passport when you entered Thailand. Yes, you should have it. Otherwise anticipate for more time at immigration.

How much cash are we allowed to take out of the county?

My interpretation is as follows:
The Consulate is in doubt if the OP is really travelling Thailand as a tourist. As a tourist he should have a home outside of Thailand und an income from somewhere - not from Thailand. Hence they request him to show proof of his address and his income and make this a condition for later tourist visa approvals.

On the right side is a red stamp which reads:
Remark: The holder of this passport travels to Thailand xxx [unreadable]
a tourist visa several times which xxxx xxxx xxxx [unreadable]
of a visa in the future
I guess the OP is concerned about this stamp.

No problem. In every immigration office you take a queue number and then sit on chairs until your number is called. While your extension is processed, you sit in front of a counter on a chair. You don't have to stand in line at all.
