They can let the true numbers trickle out now...
Shame they don't give any more info, like places these people stayed, where they went etc !!
Yes! This is essential for containment , if still possible.

I agree. I said same 6 week ago, member say I am thai so only care money!
Need money for live. Sad people die, but no job= no food, no electric, etc= will be divorce, etc, no money pay for doctor/medicine if cancer etc. no money feed the pet, farm animal. So many problem. People will stealing, go jail etc etc etc
Have other virus flu more people dead, road crash, smoking, drinking, drug etc more people dead, but nobody care.
Why this one important so much?
Hope it finish quickly.
I will tell you why. People sick > cannot produce food > cannot maintain the PEA > get stressed and get divorce > can't work so no money to pay for doctor, food for pets or medicine > doctor sick so can't help people and so forth.
It is important to understand this is a highly contagious disease that will spread way too fast if done nothing.

Sooooo, they make loads of ventilators, then where are all the nurses to operate all the new ventilators going to come from? Does the government think loads of nurses qualified to operate ventilators are just hanging around waiting for the call?
Whats your suggestion? To not make them at all? Or did you expect him to ask the manufacturers to produce nursing robots as well?

Just get a chest X ray. ~1500 baht without doctor fees in a private hospital.

one thing everybody can do now is have just a few things around the house so you do not have to going looking for it while you are sick.
here is a example of what you need:
This is to prevent not to treat.
If you insist on self isolation stick with a high protein plant based diet, drink warm water regularly, take warm showers and rest rest rest.
Btw, plenty of LSD in Thailand ???? I heard

Every single inmate will have it, if one has tested positive. It’s s like a lab test with them all packed together, like they are. Another deterrent to committing crimes
Exactly. Again, Thailand never ceases to amaze me.

it would be more prudent to be transparent upfront because the disease will become uncontrollable if unchecked in time.

1200 suspected cases. Testing takes 4 hours in Bangkok. Make your own conclusions.

The crazy thing is that every person is welcome with those Fingerprint readers at the airport. If there were an infected individual these things make sure the infection gets picked up by all arrivals following.
last week, any alcohol spray was kept behind the desk upon request only.
welcome to Thailand
If you don't have it on hand yourself, how can you blame others from not having it?

No, it is nothing like the Pandemic movie.... it is not killing most people who contract it. The death rate is similar or close to the regular flu virus. Just like the flu, which kills around half a million people a year (does that number scare you?), this virus (which is a variety of flu) kills old people and people with health conditions.
Should we try and contain it, find a vaccine for it? Sure, but this kind of 'Oh my god, we are all going to die' scaremongering doesn't help anyone.
My god, you have no idea right? The death rate of seasonal flu is 0.1% vs. 2.5% for COVID19 (currently). Number is only expected to go up as its very likely that not all current infected will recover. Its also AT LEAST as contagious as seasonal flu.
Is this the end of the world? Nah. But ask you self what's more dangerous, denial like yours or taking proper measurements and making people aware of the risks.

It is enough that only 1 parent accompanies the minor for the passport application, but the mother will still need to give permisison. She can do that at any amphur, where they will legalise her signature.
Being the legal father is not enough, unless you have sole custody awarded by the court both parents need to give permission for the new passport.
Thank you for this information. I have eventually managed to get the mother to Pattaya today and will be applying this morning.

Wht bother with a Thai Passport - just get her a passport from your country
Unfortunately at this moment, there is no time for that anymore.

Hoping someone has experience with this.. I have a half Thai 6 year old and her passport is expiring soon. I want to apply for a new one however the mother, my ex girlfriend, is not around. I am the legal father by court. Can I go myself or is the presence of the mother really mandatory?
I would be renewing in The Avenue, Pattaya.

Yes, Re-entry permits are available at Suvarnabhumi, have a look at the following topic for some info:
When I left in June 2019, all they needed was the Re-entry application form that was filled out and my passport. They returned the copied pages of my passport that I gave them as they said they would just scan the passport for the info they needed.
Thank you, I should be good then. Will fill in the form in advance to speed up the process.

Is this still possible at Suvarnabhumi airport? And if so, is their anything else I need to bring besides a color copy of my passport and a passport size photo?

Met him 7 years ago, he was raving about his love of dogs, some friends living in the Prakhonchai area say he used to go around to feed the strays. Which makes him a nuisance that should be sent back to his homeland. But he developed his "Go fund me" to the extent where he employs about 10 people to take care of hundreds of dogs. There will be some nice work for the authorities who let the situation develop...
Didn't google him but I hope he is not a total nutcase according to you because he feeds strays and looks after hundreds of dogs.

And, in a case recently, they don't ask any questions - just straight to detention.
Other report going to detention first, and being visited by an airline rep later. One refused to pay or sign anything, demanded to appeal (legally required of immigration to allow this) but they simply marched him to a plane going back where he came from.
Upon arrival, the airline threatened him that they would get the locals to put him in detention there, if he didn't "pay up," at last-minute rip-off prices, for the flight they were financially-responsible for. He paid.
The Air Crew is given your passport, and may not return it until you reach the destination - possibly passing it directly to immigration in that country, where you are segregated from the "voluntary" passengers, and handled separately.
It is rare for them to send you to your home-country. In almost every case, they send you right back where you just flew from.
This is different than in the case of a Deportation (not a "refused entry"), when you are sent directly to your passport-country on a national-carrier.
This was the process 4 years ago. Things may have changed. I absolutely did not have the option to fly back to Hongkong (where I came from).

Process is like this:
- IO officer at desk calls other officer
- Other officer escorts you to an area where you need to wait
- Your passport gets examined again, you will be questioned in or outside an office. What do you do in Thailand? Do you work in Thailand? How much money do you have with you? And all sorts of questions regarding your visa history.
- If they go ahead and refuse you entry, you will be escorted to another office where you get the chance to buy a ticket. If you cant pay, you need to wait until there is a free spot back home with your national airline (this can take a while, PAY IT!). You can buy a ticket on your phone or ask a mate to buy one and provide them with the reservation number.
- You will be escorted to the detention cell which you share with a group of other people waiting for their next flight home.
- You have access to electric so you can charge your phone and notebook.
- Once your flight is due you get picked up by 2-3 officers and you will be escorted to the departure gate right before the flight. It is then when you get your passport back.
Be aware that usually they want to you to back to your HOME country with your national airline and not the country you came from (if it differs). Few people succeed to convince them to let you fly back to the country you came from or anything other than your home country.

Srinagarind Hospital delivers medicine to patients at home to reduce spread of COVID-19
in Isaan News
Posted · Edited by DeeMak9
First of all this isn't about medication for COVID19 but to reduce the amount of people visiting the hospitals for medication of other (chronic) diseases. Secondly there are absolutely a handful of anti virals that seem to be working, with hydroxochloroquine + zithromax leading the pack, followed by favilavir.
